Even though she wasn't in one now she still had a habit of following most of the rules with it. She always shared with other cats who were in need of food. With what they have been saying, they didn't look as interested in eating as she did. This caused her ears to flatten for a short moment. She must have assumed that they were starving too because of how hungry she had been. Having no food can really mess with your head after a while. Littleriver could probably tell that she felt pretty bad about hissing, but there were limits on communicating. She had to get it through to them somehow.

They surprisingly caught onto what she was saying, well halfway. They were starting to talk about sharing instead of letting her have the whole thing. This prey was too big for her to eat anyway. She wasn't used to eating rabbit often enough to adjust to it. To show that she understood and agreed with the idea, she nodded softly. She really wanted to share the prey more so to communicate with them further. Dawn had a feeling that they were going to separate and go their own ways. Do you have any idea what lack of socialization can do to a person? It can cause mental harm if they are used to being around people who communicated with her often. She didn't have a voice, but it was so much better than being alone every hour of the day. The small she-cat was beginning to be desperate enough to try to find another clan. And she wasn't sure if she could go through that again.

Dawn followed little river's movements, a good four tail lengths away until she actually saw it necessary to move forward. With three cats, she was sure they would be able to get this one. It wasn't a bird, but it was a /lot/ better for someone who hasn't had much of a meal for a few days. Dawn watched, slowly took steps and then paused when she heard something familiar. The noises rabbits made when they were on the ground were interesting. Their breathing was just as fast paced as their running. Which made her want to step back a bit but think against it. These weren't a game. These things were second to fantastic when it came to hearing things. If she made one move too close and couldn't catch up to it, this was all over. To buy time and lay low she decided to see where every one else was; to give her a clue on what she was going to do.
