I woke up around 5 when I heard my alarm go off on my phone from the bathroom where it was charging. Stretching I made sure I didn't wake her as I rolled out of the bed. Stiffing a yawn as I trudged into the bathroom. Turning off the alarm I turned on the radio softly and took a shower and got ready for the morning. Changing into my police uniform. Today the station was having sort of a benefit thing for the police department and the fire station. Updating equipment for safety and stuff like that! I had to go in early but the kids said they would walk over later in the day to hang out with me. Walking down the stairs I stopped when I saw her on the couch. But now something was different, she looked human. Going over to her I shook her gently thinking she was asleep. "Wren...Can you wake up? I want to talk?" But I didn't use the stern voice from last night but my normal one. The sweet voice she had fallen in love with.
