  • Silentkit wasn't hungry, but that didn't stop her from biting at a dead vole. She was playing with it, batting at it with her dark paws and tossing it about with her sharp little teeth. She loved the feeling of its skin breaking beneath her teeth, it felt like she was really killing something, as well as allowing her to practice hunting, though to the two moon old kit it was just good fun.

After a few moments tough, Silentkit's perfect little toy lay in half, destroyed by the kit's enthusiastic playing. She sat up, disapointed and immediately bored. Her copper eyes scanned the nursery, wondering what the other kits were up to; she wanted someone, not something, to play with now. She nibbled a piece of vole half-heartedly.

  • <blockquote>The white tomkit watched with a not necessarily positive curiosity as one of his peers tore apart a vole. Facing the sky, he thought doesn't she know that fresh-kill is something to be thankful for? It had became a habit of his, "talking" to StarClan. Of course, he had no connection to them. Or maybe he did. At least, they were deep in his soul.

Timekit took a step forward, stopped to think for a moment, and then faced Silentkit. "Delve into territory?" He asked, simply. In his scarce speech, he was very literalistic, in sharp contrast of his mind. Although it was against the warrior code to leave the camp, Timekit didn't believe in the warrior code, which was brought upon their world by mortal minds. He believed in StarClan, and only it's command. </blockquote>

  • Silentkit sat up as she heard someone approaching. She gave a friendly smile when she saw who it was; she didn't know Timekit very well but anyone was welcome so long as they were nice. She tipped her head to the side when Timekit spoke, not really understanding his words. She was very young and all she knew of "territory" was that it was a place the queens always told her not to go.

The black kit's eyes widened as she realised that that was exactly what Timekit wanted. She gazed at him, amazed and unsure of what to do. She knew she shouldn't go with him, she'd get a real telling-off if she were caught, but she was bored and she didn't want to look frightened in front of Timekit. Silentkit stood up slowly and nodded, trying to look as brave as she could.
