Abyss walked along the cornfields.
Her paws were dusty, and she was tired, but she loved this place. It felt like home, after the mountain-den she had so painfully left behind her.

((Changing his name))
Tornado looked across the parched cornfield, noticing how shriveled the stalks were becoming. His dusty brown pelt allowed him to blend in with the dry ground and corn stalks. He had left his Clan a few days earlier and was now sort of lost in the field. He called out, not caring who heard anymore, "Anyone there?" He shuffled his paws and looked around.
OOC: Since we're basically starting over, should we act like they've never met?
Hearing another cat, she yowled in response.
((Yeah, we probably should))
Tornado tried to figure out where the voice had come from and looke around warily, suddenly feeling very exposed.
She pricked her ears, then pushed her way through the corn towards the sound.
Tornado heard the corn rustling and turned toward the direction it came from, yowling, "Who's there?"
She poked her head out of the corn.
(I'm changing her name to Abyss, just FYI).
((Okay.))
Tornado jumped when the strange cat poked her head through the corn. He hissed, "Who are you?!"
((Just listened to Fall Out Boy song The Phoenix. Pretty sure I could sing the whole song without a hitch.))
(Awesome! I love that song too :D)
"I think the question is, who are you?" Abyss mewed. She slid out from the corn and leaped, landing in front of the other cat.
Tornado hissed a bit and shuffled his paws, "I believe I asked you first." His tail lashing like a whip, he gave his shoulder a lick to flatten his hackles.
((Oh great. Now I've got it stuck in my head again.))
A moment's pause went by. "I'm Abyss." she mewed reluctantly after a few moments. Her yellow eyes showed a flicker of wariness as she looked at the other cat.
Tornado thought about it for a minute before nodding and meowing politely, "Nice to meet you. I'm Tornado." He flashed her a small smile, deep caramel colored eyes shining with glee at the thought of the adventurous journey still ahead of him. He would be the pride of his Clan when he returned.
"So...where do you come from?" she mewed awkwardly. "I myself am from the gorge near here, and I am temporarily here while I am on a journey."
Tornado replied smoothly, "I am from the valley in those mountains. The Fox Bend Clan, we call ourselves. We are in a historic drought and are being forced to move due to all the coyotes and large predators moving into our territory to try and find water in the valley."
Abyss looks somewhat suprised. "The gorge river has dried, and all the hunters and prey alike must leave there or starve. That is why I come this way as well."
Tornado meowed in slight astonishment, "Really? The river running through the valley from the mountains is dried up as well. That's what happened when the drought came. My leader, Kano, personally asked me to try and find us a new home with plentiful water."
"I am heading northwards." she mewed. "Would you like to journey with me?"
He looked at her for a moment in surprise, then nodded, "I will accompany you on your journey north. It would be a great honor." He suddenly dropped his gaze to the ground, tail lashing.
"Then we should start as soon as we can. Your Clan needs you back at some point, after all." she mewed as she bounded ahead into the corn.
Tornado followed closely behind her, his lithe form slipping easily through the corn stalks. He looked up toward the sky but only saw the tops of the corn. "So, what general thing are you looking for? A home, a way to get the water flowing?" He asked as he continued to follow her.
