    Solar was going for a walk. It was calm, peaceful. Warm winds were blowing, sending ripples on the lynx's fur. Her bright blue eyes scanned the forest around her. The trees were showing green leaves, as were the bushes. Flowers were blooming. It was, after all, the calm before the storm.


    Solar stopped at the border, as a foreign scent filled her nose. It wasn't from any clans she knew off. Her brain searched for answers. Lost in her mind, Solar didn't even notice the wolves coming at her from behind. One lunged at her, leaping onto the lynx's back. SolarEclipse's instincts kicked in, and she reared up, throwing off the wolf. Two more came from the front, pushing her onto the ground. Solar was blinded by fear as she kicked wildly, and the wolves ripped her apart.


    She was dead on the border, and her eyes lost their color and turned a shade of gray.

    Littlestar happened upon the scene, jaw agape in shock and grief at what she saw. It was one thing to have a Clanmate die, or even be murdered, but to see them torn apart like this...
