A small kit slunk through the ferns, barely moving them as she stopped when the cats' voices were heard. Her bright amber eyes searched uselessly as she scented the air and located the cats. She had been looking for another cat for a while, so she padded close and sat down near them.

Ocean looked at the kit.

Fernstar turned in time to see the kit.

A tortieshell she-cat zipped past, chasing a rabbit. Her name? Her name was Tawny. She leaped at the rabbit and pinned it. She killed it with a quick bite to the neck.

Fernstar saw Tawny run by and followed her from the trees. -
Ocean looked around at the camp.

Fernstar watched her carfully.

Tawny crouched and looked in Fernstar's direction."Who's there?"she asked.

"Fernstar!"She answered and walked forward.

"Fernstar?Nice to meet you.I'm Tawny."Tawny purred.

"Tawny you know your VERY fast!"SHe purred"You should join Fernclan! You would make an excellent deputy!"She said

"Deputy?OK I'll join."Tawny replied.

Fernstar smiled"Right this way Tawnyheart."She said with a smile.

'Tawnyheart.'Her new name echoed in her head.Tawny nodded and followed Fernstar.

Fernstar slipped through the fern tunnel and into the camp.

Ocean was wandering around the camp.

Tawny followed.

"Hey Ocean come on over to my den I need to give you too your full names."She said

Ocean looked at Fernstar and nodded. She ran over to her.
