    Jared tried hard to hide his smirk as Joanna blushed. He then frowned as she tried to play down her head injury.


    "Oh, sure... just a little bump which nearly cost you your life." he snarled sarcastically. "And believe me, when I get my hands on that male, I'll pay him back in full and in kind!"


    Ivan's red eye narrowed at Jared's words.


    "Why do I feel there's a lot more to this story?" he said.


    He then turned to the healer;s den as snarls could be heard from within.


    "What the ell's going on in there...!?"


    Jethro's eyes widened at how fast his daughter cottoned on. He then chuckled.


    "Lupus help me, you're as sharp as your mother." he said with a loving smile, then nodded, opening a link so Brody could also hear. Yes... it's a long story, which will have to wait for another time, but yes, I am Torren's younger brother... which makes Ivan my nephew... and the two of yours' cousin.


    He looked a his twins with a small smile.


    "Do you two understand why I said to stay away now?" he asked.


    Brody's eyes were wide, then he frowned.


    "But, papa... weren't you found abandoned on the edge of camp..?"


    Jethro smiled.


    "Yes, Brody... but there is more to that story. But for now you'll just have to wait, alright?"


    Brody nodded with a small frown, then smiled.


    "Yes, papa."


    Jethro was about to respond when he heard a ruckus coming from the healing den.


    "What the...!?"


    Edward shifted and sprang at the rogue who had attacked Shatoka.


    What the hell is wrong with you buddy!? he snarled as he stood in front of Shatoka.


    Thane nodded in understanding.


    understand, Marina... but they're brothers... although Torren probably doesn't remember him and Jethro definitely won't remember Torren, they are blood. He deserves to know what's happening. And that he and his pups won't be forced to leave if they don't want to. Even if Jethro does possess the Blood trait of the Moon family.

    Joanna hit her brother in the arm and growled, "Father didn't want anyone to know that you idiot." She then looked at the den and frowned. "Jared go get father." She snapped then turned to Ivan. "We shouldn't go in without back-up." She then bit her lip and frowned. "Then again I'm not very good at following rules." She added as she hurried to the door of the healer's den.


    Lacy nodded and let it go for now.


    I want you to give him the message. Then if he wants to know more he'll come to me. Marina said.

    All the winter storm wolves must die! The rogue snarls at Edward now get out my way mutt! Or you'll end up like her mother the Alphaness of Winter's Storm pack, and all of the pack! His green eyes bore down at Shakota with hatred.


    Shakota stares up at the rogue in shock you killed my mother! No that can't be true! She whimpers, as she slowly backs out of the den

    Jared spun around as he narrowed his eyes at the healer's den.


    "I don't know, but I'm going to find out!" he said, taking on his wolf form. Joanna, stay out of this! And before you tell me not to boss you around, remember you're still injured for Lupus' sake!


    He then turned and dashed into the den as Shatoka backed out. Glancing at the shivering she-wolf, he turned to Edward and the other rogue.


    Ivan glanced at Joanna and Madeline, then walked over to the shivering Shatoka.


    "Are you... alright...?" he asked her quietly, so as not to scare her.


    You want to harm Shatoka... then you'll have to go through me! Ed snarled, crouching as if about to attack.


    Jethro looked through a crack in the door, then quickly grabbed a flask on a shelf in his kitchen and took a few sips, wincing as it worked through his system and burnt his eyes and scalp, turning his eyes brown and his hair sandy blonde. He then put it back on the shelf, out of reach and returned to the door which lead to the healing den. He turned to his pups.


    "You two stay quiet and out of sight, alright?"


    Thane nodded at Marina.


    I will. he told her. Being a healer, he'll want to know more. Jethro may not want to... but he will come to you for answers.

    Shakota whines looking at Ivan before glancing at the entrance to Joanna, please I need to get out for a bite, I promise I'll come back! She told them. Her red eyes glanced everywhere before looking up into the mountains, she saw snow starting to fall with a storm in the making I'm sorry I must go! She says.


    Before they çould say anything she darts out of the camp


    The rogue snaps at Edwards paw before quickly snapping his head to Jared, he glance around he couldn't move to get out so much for luck then. He thought

    Joanna looked after Shakota and frowned. She then shifted and hurried after the she-wolf. Shakota, I'll go with you. I can't let you go on your own. She said as she raced beside her.


    Madeline watched and then frowned.


    Marina nodded and then said, "I'll see you later then, Thane."

    Shakota signs not answering her back slowing down to a light run, she leads the way unknowingly to her mother's pack camp. I'm sorry I couldn't stay in there any longer. She finally told her not even looking at her.

    I-- there was this rogue I saw his eyes when I was a pup, he was after my mother and her pack...I don't know the full story, the rogue wants me dead, I'm guess because of my lineage. Shakota says glancing at Joanna How is your head?


    She stopped when she felt her paws sink into the ground and saw snow falling, sniffing the air she could smell old scents of generations of wolves and blood. Perking her ears she begins to walk following a now years worth of a snow covered path, to a abandon camp that was filled with broken dens and old stains.

    Ivan and Jared both watched Shatoka run off with Joanna behind her.


    Annie! Come back! Jared howled, then shook his head. My father's going to have my hide...


    Both of them turned when they heard Edward yelp and saw him lift a paw the rogue had bitten while he had been distracted and Jared narrowly avoided having his face ripped off. As Edward got back to his feet, the 3 males snarled at the rogue.


    Maddie... can you please go get my mother? Ivan asked his cousin. I think she's with the Alpha. And he may want to come here as well... the rogue... we should never have allowed him to stay... now only mother can seal his fate as I'm not alpha yet.


    Thane nodded with a smile.


    "Yes, I'll see you later, Marina." he said, then frowned as one of his warriors approached and whispered urgently into his ear. Seems there's been some kind of commotion over at the healer's den.

    Joanna laid her ears back at what Shakota said. She then skidded to a halt. Up ahead she could she Clayton. Shakota, I'm sorry, but this is as far as I go. She whimpered slightly.


    Clayton saw Shakota and Joanna coming towards him.


    Madeline nodded and hurried to her aunt. When she got there she saw that a warrior had already got Thane. She came to a stop and told her aunt what was happening.


    Marina's expression darkened and she looked at Thane. "I'll go with you Thane." She said as she explained what the problem was.

    Shakota stepped in front of Joanna flattening her ears sharply and bared her teeth that let a loud growl of warning escape from her jaws. Her red eyes watched him intensely waiting for his first move, What are you doing here? She growled at Clayton.


    Keith (the rogue) growls and backs up slightly knowing he can't out fight 3 males, and he couldn't hurt his prince...but he doubted he wouldn't be part of his pack any longer now.

    Sure that everything was calm now, Jethro, still disguised by the potion he had drank, told his pups to remain in their den, then he slipped into the healing den.


    "I believe, that's enough." Jethro said as he came into the den.


    Jethro!? Jared yelped in surprise, but a look from the healer quelled any further questions.


    Jethro motioned for Edward to come forward so that he could bind his front paw, then looked at the two heirs.


    "Prince Ivan, Prince Jared, keep a close eye on the rogue until our Alpha and the Alphess of the Blood Moon can see to him."


    Jared nodded and glared back at the rogue. Ivan narrowed his eyes on the rogue male. It seemed that he didn't want to hurt Ivan and seemed almost sad, knowing he was probably going to be kicked out the Blood Moon pack. He wondered just what had driven this male to attack an injured she-wolf.


    Thane's expression was more dangerous than a thunderstorm, his green eyes almost as dark as the forest he lived in. He nodded.


    "Yes, I think it would be best." he agreed. "After all, he may be a rogue, but he is a part of your pack now, Marina. It's only fitting that you deal with him."

    Joanna looked at Shakota and then at Clayton. She winced as her head started to throb painfully.


    Clayton rolled his eyes at Shakota and then glared at Joanna. He stalked threateningly towards them. This is my home too cousin. He snarled at Shakota.


    Madeline hurried back to the boys after she had told her aunt.


    Marina looked at him sadly and said, "I'm sorry that he's causing problems. I shouldn't have brought him with us." She then hurried after Madeline.

    Unlikely! She snaps at him clearly not submitting to his dominance, she steps forward and let's out another growl Your eyes on me, not her! She added.


    Shakota stayed silent looking at him...she did see herself in Clayton, she then perked her ears slightly and slowly walking to him. Walking around him she sniffed at his fur But the rogue said you guys were...like extinct...how is this possible? She asked facing him almost nose to nose with him.

    Thane hurried after Madeline and Marina.


    This isn't your fault Marina, you had no reason to know this would happen, so don't apologise. Thane said as they reached the healing den. Let's just get to the bottom of this.


    He entered the den to see Ivan and Jared still penning another wolf into a corner as Jethro fixed up Ed's (now in human form)wrist. The way the healer kept rubbing his eyes as well as the fact that his hair was darker made Thane narrow his eyes.


    "How long Jethro?"


    Jethro looked up and a look of alarm spread across his face as he saw Marina. He then forced a confused frown onto his face.


    "Alpha, I don't know-"


    "How long?!" Thane asked again as Jared shifted and seemed to be watching a tennis match a his head swung from his irate father to an obviously irritated Jethro.


    "5 minutes." Jethro said as he turned back to Ed's wrist, finishing binding it. "Give or take a few minutes."


    Thane then nodded and turned to Jared, Ivan (still in his wolf form) and the rogue. Ivan looked at his mother.


    I'm sorry, mother. he said quietly. I should have been more aware... I thought it would be safe to bring Keith... I thought... he was one of us now...


    Thane stepped forward.


    "Let's hear everyone's side of the tale before you write them off Prince Ivan." he said, turning to the rogue, Keith. "Well... what happened here, rogue Why did you attack an injured she-wolf?"

    Keith shifted "I'm what you call a rogue bounty hunter, I was hired or more likely forced to kill and hunt down an entire pack...eat with packs and sniffed out the a bloodline that belong to an anicent albino werewolf...it's rare...only a royal bloodline can get it." He growls " the late alphas brother how ever didn't get the trait and no one knows why...he later disappeared, rumors have it that he had a son."


    "I don't know why I hunted them down anymore, or even who hired me to do it, it's some spell that makes me black out and I can trace that bloodline, I don't know why this trait is so important...I was never told why."

    Marina smiled sadly at Jethro. Jethro, I'm glad you are well. She told him tenderly. She truly meant what she said. She was dreading the thought of telling him his brother was dying. She shook herself and turned to Kieth. "Why didn't you tell us about it before?" She asked.


    Madeline walked over to Jethro and Ed. "I'll take over if you want?" Madeline offered.


    Clayton rolled his eyes and said, "I escaped the packs fate because I was out hunting. That's when Thane and Rebecca took me into their pack."


    Joanna took off back towards her pack. She wasn't about to let Clayton hurt her again. When she returned she noticed the crowd gathering in front of the healer's den. She pushed her way into the den and frowned at what she saw.

    Keith signs "cause no one believed me and this was before I met yous guys...I was with the young packs so they didn't who or what the Winter's Storm pack was...then after that I didn't have anyone to hunt down, so the spell went dormant and I forgot until now." He says


    Shakota signs and shifted back to normal "She really is pathetic sometimes, isn't she?" She asked sensing Joanna's fright run back to the camp "but I get why...thanks to you." She scratched at her clan's mark and then looked at it with curiosity.
