  • Jared snarled as he spotted Clayton in the training grounds and he grabbed the older male by the collar once he was close enough.

"You damned mutt!" he snarled in Clayton's face. "You could've killed Joanna! Do you know that!? And don't try to deny that you're not the one who pushed her when we found the newborn and the rogue!"

Jethro quickly made the concoction from the herbs Brody gave him, then he walked over to Ed and looked down to see Shatoka smiling up at the rogue as Ed smiled back at her. He handed the potion to Ed.

"Get her to drink this." he said softly. "Make sure she drinks every drop."

Thane walked over to Lacy who was looking after his daughter.

"Well, young one." he asked the young girl softly. "Will my daughter be alright...?"

He knew that Jethro would never have entrusted Joanna to the pup if he didn't believe she could heal the princess.

  • Shatoka glances at the healer but quickly looked back at Ed, she felt like she can trust this pack...but not the rather hot tempered brute; but her marking caught her interest, she had recognized it in her memory of her mother...but she was only so young when her mother died that she never learned what it was...

  • Clayton glared down at Jared and snarled, "She deserved it. Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to get back to training."

Joanna winced again and Lacy bit her lip. She then looked up at the alpha with sad eyes. How was she supposed to tell the alpha that his daughter might not make it. Very meekly she said, "S-she has s-some internal bleeding. The herbal mix should help, but all we can really do is wait and see. I'm sorry I can't give you a more definite answer, Alpha."

  • Jared narrowed his forest green eyes as he glared at the male who was a head taller than him.

"I don't give a pair of f*cking flying squirrels' farts what you'd 'like', Clayton. And you'll watch your tone when you speak to me." He snarled back, his grip tightening on the other male's collar. "But I will tell you what you'd better hope for- you better hope that my little sister makes it. Because if you don't, you know what'll happen as well as I do. Killing a member of the Royal family is a capital offense repaid in kind and if Joanna dies, so help me I'll rip your smug-assed face off your head before I rip you limb from limb and finally decapitate you. And, Lupus help me, I'll enjoy every. f*cking. minute of it!"

Jared then released the other male and pushed him away from him.

    "You better start praying, Clayton."

    With that he walked away.

Ed nodded at Jethro, then smiled at Shatoka and helped her to sit up.

"Come on, sweetheart, you need to sit up so you can drink your medicine." he smiled. "Healer's orders."

Thane gently laid his hand on the young female pup's shoulder and smiled sadly at her as Jethro approached them.

"It's all right, little one." he said softly. "You've done all you can. It's up to Joanna now."

Jethro nodded as he laid his hands on the back of Joanna's head.

"You've done well, Lacy." he said as he smiled at his daughter. "I'm proud of you."

He looked over at his son as well.

"Both of you." he then issued more instructions. "Brody, go boil some more water and bring it to Lacy, then boil some bandages, please. Lacy, keep cleaning the wound until it stops oozing anything and mix some more knit-bone... a little more won't hurt and may heal the internal; bleeding faster."

He then turned to the princess.

Come on, Joanna... you're a fighter... don't give up so easily.

  • Clayton rolled his eyes as Jared walked away. "I should have killed the brat when I had the chance. She's going to get us all killed." He muttered to himself. He then called after Jared, "I guess I should warn you that the prince of the Blood Moon pack is looking for a mate. And that he'll be coming soon to see the young females of your pack." He waited for Jared's reaction.

The pups did as they were told. Lacy looked up at the alpha, then her father and finally to the princess. She applied more of the herbal mix and asked, "Why does Clayton have it out for her?"

  • Clayton's words had the desired effect, stopping Jared in his tracks as he clenched his fist, hi eyes squeezed shut. When he looked over his shoulder at the other male, his eyes were a strange maroon colour, red bleeding into his dark green eyes.

"He has no right to enter our camp unless Thane gives him the go ahead." he growled at Clayton. "If that blood mutt thinks he can help himself to our females he has another thing coming!"

As Brody scampered off to do as is father had asked and Lacy continued to clean the wound, Jetho smiled, then frowned at his daughter's question. He looked at the Alpha to answer her.

    Thane frowned lightly, then sighed.

"Clayton is stuck in a job he doesn't want to do." he finally answered. "He's been Jonna's protector since she was a young pup... and she's been a thorn in his side since she was old enough to walk. It's little wonder he's agitated at her.."

    His frown then darkened.

However, I never thought he'd go so far as to actually kill her, intentionally or not."

  • Clayton smirked and said, "Your father didn't tell you that he signed a mating contract between your sister and the prince."

Lacy looked at the princess and frowned. "Is the Blood Moon prince really going to take the princess?" She asked quietly.

  • Jared scoffed.

"My father would never keep something like his fr-" he then growled. "Son of a gun..."

Yes, Thane would keep his son out of the loop when it came to his sister. He'd done it before and Jared now remembered the whole debacle. Swearing under his breath as everything became clear to him, Jared glared a Clayton.

"Then I suggest you really start begging Lupus for mercy and a swift death." he snarled. "Because if Annie dies... neither me nor the blood mutt will show you any."

Jethro and Thane both frowned at Lacy's words.

"How did you know about that?!" Thane demanded.

"Lacy... were you eavesdropping?" Jethro asked her softly, his disappointment evident.

"Don't be mad at Lacy... it's my fault." a soft voice said as Brody shuffled closer. "I told her... I was the one who was eavesdropping..."

  • "We'll have to wait and see won't we. Besides here come the blood moons now." Clayton nodded towards the wolves headed their way.

Among the Blood moon pack was the prince's mother. She looked at her son and shook her head, Don't look so miserable my son. Do you fear that Joanna isn't everything Thane had said?

Lacy shook her head and said, "I also heard Clayton the other day. He was telling one of his friends about the contract. He said that he'd have to do something to stop the match." Her eyes then fell on the princess. "I guess his plan was to give her some sort of flaw or worse." She added sadly.

Joanna started to stir then. "Mmm...." She groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. Her vision was blurred for a moment and when it cleared she saw her father, the healer and his pups. "W-what happened?" She groaned again.

  • Thane narrowed his eyes at what Brody and Lacy said. Brody's eavesdropping aside, Clayton's comment about stopping the match bothered the Alpha.

    "Why would he-" Thane began.

"Later Thane." Jethro said, indicting the stirring Joana.

"Annie..? Joanna?" Thane said softly as he moved closer to his daughter.

Edward looked over at Joanna as he helped Shatoka drink her herbs.

"You were pushed aside like a twig by the brute who is supposed to protect you and you knocked your head." he said softly. "I'm sorry, by the way... you getting hurt is mostly my fault... I wasn't prepared to keep my mouth shut and p!ssed Clayton off."

"Alpha..?" Terrance, who had remained inside through everything, narrowed his eyes at the entrance to camp. "It would seem you have some guests..."

    Without looing up Thane huffed.

"The Blood Moon pack can wait."

Turning in the direction of the entrance, Jared swore silently, then closed his eyes and slowly walked toward the Blood Moon pack.

  • Jared turned back to glare at Clayton, only to see he'd already left.

"Believe me, I will." he growled, knowing the older male was probably still nearby.

He then walked up to the Blood Moon pack and bowed.

"Welcome." he said formally. "Our Alpha will be with you shortly. He's just dealing with some business. He requests you wait a while if you will."

Ed shook his head, but smiled.

"I pity you princess... Clayton seems a volatile guardian." he said.

  • As shatoka drinks the medicine she listened to the rather calm chaos apart from Clayton and Jared, she felt like shifting again; but with this so called prince in the camp...it wasn't probably the brightest idea, and it made her uncomfortable "I really want to run!" She complained

  • OOC: Nat do you want to play the blood moon prince, if not that's alright.

IC: A petite red haired young women smiled at Jared. "We understand. I'm Madeline Moon, Cousin to our prince." She said softly she then looked back at her cousin and his mother.

Joanna frowned and slowly sat up. "I have to talk to Jared. I have to explain that I was the one who asked for the contract." She said to her father as she slowly got to her feet.

"Princess, please you must lay back down." Lacy said worriedly.

  • OOC:

    Oki doki! *salutes*

    IC:

    Ed looked down at Shatoka.

"Shh... calm down and lie back." he said gently as Jethro helped Lacy restrain Joanna. "We're safe here. We're the princess's guests... until such time we either break the contract or are sent away, we cannot be touched."

    Jethro's eyes were stern.

"Lacy is right, Joanna." he said. "You're not yet healed. You will remain here... and Jared will be sent for."

Edward raised an eyebrow at Jethro as Brody looked at the rogue.

"Father is the healer... in this den, his word is law." the pup explained.

Thane sighed and nodded at Joanna.

"Daughter, lie back. I'll go meet our guests and send your brother to you."

He then left the den with Terence following at a respectful distance.

Jared smiled at the pretty red head and bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment of her introduction.

"A pleasure, Lady Madeline." he said. "My name is Jared, I'm the Beta of-"

"Are you going to let us in...?" Ivan, the Prince of Bloodmoon's voice cut him off as he looked at his counterpart. "Prince Jared."

Jared's green eyes flashed in anger as he met Ivan's insolent stare. Jared then blanched slightly. Ivan's eyes were maroon, like Jethro's. He opened his mouth to snark back when Thane's voice was heard.

"Enough, Jared. You will treat our guests with respect." the Alpha said sternly, bowing slightly to Ivan and the delegation with him. "I apologise for any rudeness my son may have shown you."

Ivan closed his eyes and sighed, when he opened them, there was a look of irritation in them.

"No, I opologise." he said. "I do not like waiting."

As Jared opened his mouth yet again, Thane spoke first.

"Then you two have something in common." he said with a small smile as he turned to Jared. "Your sister is waiting for you in the healers den. Attend to her. Terence!"

"Yes, Alpha." Terence said, walking next to Jared, "This way, Highness."

Jared was caught and he knew it. He couldn't disobey a direct order in front of their guests. He gave an irritable bob of his head as he acquiesced, then bowed to the visiting pack.

"As you wish, Fa-Alpha." he murmured, then turned to the visitors. "Please excuse me... I'm needed elsewhere."

He then straightened up as he looked at the visitors again, a small smile gracing his face as he met Madeline's gaze, then he turned and followed Terence to Jethro's den. Thane sighed and shook his head.

"Again, I apologise for that display of theatrics." he said as he moved aside. "You are most welcome in our camp as honoured guests."

  • Joanna shrank back a little as she said, "Jared is going to be so mad at me. I usually tell him everything." She looked at Jethro and asked, "So what's wrong with me? I mean besides just a bump on the head."

Madeline smiled back as Jared looked her way one last time. She then glanced at her cousin and frowned at his rudeness.

Ivan's mother stepped forward and smiled at Thane. "It's lovely to see you again Thane. How is everyone?" She asked softly.
