    So Octi, you're... Lesair. You could do the thing about the embers, seemingly dormant until flaring to life (but I'm pretty sure you did that, if I read your post correctly) or you could go the resilience route, a la how we feel about fire. Fire can kill, destroy, maim, torture, and basically wreck shit. But we also cannot live without fire--the fire to warm us, to cook our food, to keep us safe in the darkest night--and we need passion--fire--in romance to open up the chance for a deeper romance, for someone else to sit around that fire with you in the darkest of nights.

    Okay so, the ancient children are considered divine figures right? Not on the same level as the Twins or anything but you know. Cause I'm considering some reincarnation lore, incorporating the phoenix and rebirth and all of that. Not so much in a religious belief way, but like, they'd tell kids that if they live a courageous life the AC might allow them to return to Earth after they pass on, as an animal or a plant or something more symbolic idk. But I just want to know if it seems reasonable enough to give my AC that power, or if that maybe falls too much into the Creator's side of things? Particularly because I think, as a whole, my family correlates more closely with the Destroyer.
    I'm probably over thinking this but. Yeah.


    Sundae, I had a lot of the same ideas, and that sort of duality that fire possesses is what I covered in my family's intro. I think for my crest I'm gonna go for a more rising from the ashes, overcoming and rising up after hardship or loss type of thing. The birth of new life in the wake of a forest fire and all that good shit. At least that's what I have so far.

Like the Destroyer has taught the AC that death is not so much loss as it is an opportunity to create anew, and for his understanding and acceptance of this concept he was given his ability to return souls to the Earth.


    Okay I feel a lot better about that idea now. The concept was something I had mixed up in the jumble that is my handwritten Lesair notes, and I thought maybe it was kind of too much power to just give to my AC. Now I feel like it just makes logical sense, considering my family's values and symbolism.
