  • The raven nuzzled into her hand, letting Erin oet him. Karliah thought for a minute. What about Dwane? She thought to herself. But it would be fun, amazing really. "Of course we are still friends." The raven spoke. Karliah bit her lip, thinking. "Ok, pack up and I'll get you a horse... Ok?" Karliah smiled, already out of her bed and packing a few things. Not much but enough.

  • Erin smiled. "I need to pack my things in my magic bag. It can hold anything. I'll be right back." She smiled at the crow. "Care to come with me?" she asked it.

  • The raven fluttered on her shoulder. Karliah had finished packing her things and had silently crept outside. She was at the stables getting her horse ready and another she knew well and that would be good for Erin. "I got your horse ready, I'll come and get you onces she's saddled up." Karliah said.

(You can choose what the horse looks like :3)

  • Erin nodded and started running. She used her wind powers to make her go faster. "I'll be there in a minute." She ran to her room, careful not to jostle the Crow> With a sweep of her hand, all of her belongings flew into her bag. It looked like it had originally been with the exception of a hole in the wall that she had punched when she had been 11. She made sure her potion case was in there too. She scanned the area, then slipped out, quickly stealing some food from the kitchen. Then she ran to the stables. The normal horse she rode was a pure black Arabian. It's name was midnight. She jogged over, letting Shadow out of her dormant form. The cat shifted into a panther and trotted into the shelter of the stables.

  • Raven shuffled his wings. "Where shall we meet?" The bird asked. Karliah climbed into her horse and hung into his reins. "Yah!" She said, the black stallion reared back and neighed loudly. Karliah smiled brightly, her blue eyes sparkled. The horse took off at high speed. Rain right beside her. For the first time in a long time Karliah actually laughed.

  • Erin grinned. "How about the School Gates?" she asked. She quickly saddled her horse with expert skill and swung on. Shadow turned into a cat and jumped up into her lap. Erin started out of the stables. She reached into the horse's mind and let her light power flow into it. That way he would have more stamina and run farther. She let out a yell of joy and spurred the horse faster. Carefully, she pulled the bird under her cloak so it didn't get ripped of her shoulder and made the horse gallop.

  • "Ok, see you there." Then the raven faded into a black mist. Karliah rubbed her horses mane. It was soft and black at the roots, fading to a silver gray. Moon. That's what I'll call you. Moon. Karliah smiled, satisfied. Rain ran ahead, approaching the gates of the school. Karliah trotted in slowly behind. Moon snorted and shook his head. Karliah patted his back. "Good boy." It was a little dark so Karliah held up her hand and formed a small ball of fire. It stayed by her head, warm and bright. She wanted for Erin.

  • Erin was slightly surprised when the Crow disappeared, then she remembered that it was a Shadow Animal. She urged her horse to gallop faster and the school gates came into view.

  • Karliah warmed her hands and hugged herself, shivering. She flinched when her wings busted from her back and fluttered a bit before covering her arms. They were so soft and warm. They radiated heat just like the little ball of light she had made. Karliah waited patiently, watching her foggy breaths disappear after every breath she took.

  • Karliah whistled for Rain and held her arm back. Rain leaped onto the large horse and Karliah helped him up into her lap. Her legs kept him from falling and he sat as of he was directing Moon. Karliah nodded and gave her horse a gentle nudge and he galloped off. "We will need a place to stay tonight." Karliah said.

  • Shadow leaped back onto the horse and Erin followed her friend. "We'll find some places in the town my the mountain's base." She said." There's one place I like to go. Good price."

  • "Alright, lead the way." Karliah said letting Erin's horse cut ahead a bit. Moon fell in at Erin's horses flank. Karliah's wings faded but she heated her whole body and ignored the cold the best she could.

  • Erin urged her horse foreword. She sighed in relief when she finally saw the town. She hopped off her horse and walked it into the square.

  • Karliah pulled up her face cover along with her hood and then did the same as Erin. Rain leapt off and walked at Karliah's side. Moon snorted and nudged Karliah gently with his head. He was a huge stallion, strong but gentle. Karliah rubbed his neck as she held his reins and guided him.

  • Erin trudged to the stables on the side of the hotel. A boy was there. Erin pulled out a handful of money and gave it to him. "Two horses, feeding and grooming one night." The boy nodded and took Midnight's reigns. He looked at Karliah. "may I take your horse ma'am? He asked.

  • Karliah handed the boy Moon's reins after patting his neck. Karliah just followed Erin. This town seemed familiar but Karliah didn't seem to know it to well, so she just followed Erin.

  • Erin tramped into the old hotel, stamping her snowy boots on the ground. The man at the desk looked up. "Ah! Ms. Jones! It is lovely to see you again!" Erin smiled. "Thank you Mr. Hollensworth. May I ask for one room with two beds?" She turned to Karliah for confirmation. "or would you rather have two rooms with one bed each? I can get them loser to each other."

  • Karliah didn't really care. "I'm fine with anything. Whatever's cheaper." She said and pulled down her mask along with her hood. Rain licked the snow off of Karliah's boots. He loved eating snow.

  • Erin nodded and booked the one room with two beds. She was handed the key. "Room 106. You know the drill." Erin grinned. "yeah. I know." she placed the money on the counter, then walked off into one hallway. Shadow followed behind, trotting at a slow pace. Erin let her hood down. She shook wet snow from her blonde hair and opened the door to their room.
