Carol woke up and stretched. "Good Morning." She yawned. (I'm just going to pretend inactive people aren't here for now) Carol felt considerable refreshed. She grabbed an apple and started munching on it, absentmindedly gazing at Fragment's one wing, still not fully awake.
-
Fragment murmured something in her sleep. She had no memory whatsoever about who she used to be, but she still dreamed about it. It was odd; the colors were weird and the images were shifty, and she didn't feel quite like herself. She felt a lot smarter, a lot stronger, and in much more control, but she was so mean. She taunted the other subjects and laughed when the experiments failed. When it was her turn, she just smiled and then she screamed...
Fragment woke to the sound of her own yelling, her hands tearing through the air as if trying to pull away its façade. Once she realized she wasn't in danger, she had to take multiple deep breaths to calm herself. What the? Subject 5247 swore as tears ran down his cheek for no reason. He angrily wiped them away and cursed his lowly other half.
-
Carol tensed, "Are you okay?" She asked, unsure what to do. "Nightmare?" She asked after a moments consideration.
-
Subject 5247 suddenly had an idea. It was likely that his wing was flapping when his fragment's wing was flapping, and he was crying when she was crying. He opened and closed his right wing repeatedly, trying to see if he could get some sort of response.
Fragment flinched at Carol's voice. She still wasn't used to being free, so she smiled slightly to reassure herself. "Night-what?" she asked before her single wing started moving of its own accord.
-
Carol gave a half frown. "Could your wing be flapping in response to your other one?" She asked, "Um, wherever it is?" Carol wondered if it was because of one of the experiments. Actually, that was probably the reason.
