He longed for the company of a different breed. Another gender, a companion and apprentice. The universe was very young and full of potential. The stars shone brighter and hotter then than they ever would again. And the Omni favored one star in particular. Out of boredom, the great creator worked to no end to gather up all the colors of all the galaxies, creating twelve entities who would be known as the guardians. Among this elite group were embodiments such as Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Cancer. These were the Zodiacs. They were protectors of the universe, keepers of the stars. But once matured and emboldened, the Omni grew lonely once again. So he created the humans, and the Zodiacs meddled often with their lives and beliefs. As punishment, the Omni took away all of their astrological power. He turned them into constellations where they would suffer the consequences of their actions. Without his first children to roam the cosmos and fill the galaxies with laughter and song, the Omni's longing for a child grew stronger. He gathered a star from every constellation of the Zodiacs, took the laughter of a small human child straight from her lungs, and collided planets and stars alike in a an explosion of both beauty and elegance. Born of this reaction was a tiny ball of light that looked like the core of a starlet. It was a female presence, and the purest and most innocent thing even the Omni could have imagined. This daughter of his was prided and spoiled. She took the form of the most beautiful young child, with long golden hair and big blue eyes. So infatuated with his creation, the Omni restricted her residence to his own kingdom, letting her imagination and desires dictate the surroundings of her life. It was like a giant, joyous dream in the clouds. Meanwhile, as this young energy bounced and sang happily in the fields of her father's favoritism, the Zodiacs watched from the stars around. Some were sad and spent millennium crying, like Pisces. But others, like Aries, grew angry with the betrayal. Leo most of all felt rage. An already emotional and passionate sign, Leo's foundation was composed of loyalty and the need for appreciation. It was not all bad, though. For some signs believed the child thing to be a blessing. Something to show them the error of their ways, and to teach them that if they were more pure and well behaved, their father would love them again. But as time went on, the Omni lessened the chance of ever releasing the zodiacs. The great being's focus was strictly on this new child of his, who he gave a name long forgotten and hidden. After long periods of time, the Omni felt a certain energy shift in the cosmic atmosphere. Something was brewing, something evil and malignant. The Omni knew that the bad energy put into the universe would attract to itself and gather, but he was so occupied with his starchild that he never bothered to anticipate the negativity that the Zodiacs would produce. With this new power, the Zodiacs began to break free from their constellations. First was Aries, then Leo, then Scorpio. The Omni didn't realize this until his beloved daughter came to him and described her new friend. Within two sentences, the Omni new that Scorpio was attempting to deceive the child and corrupt her. Out of fear that his interstellar girl would be harmed or taken, the Omni took her powers and hid her away on Earth. She was to be reincarnated new every lifetime. The grand creator knew that the Zodiacs were now too powerful to befall a curse on, so he reluctantly and desperately cursed his favorite creation to endure reincarnation without recollection for all of eternity. It was to save her from the others. The Omni grew angry and depressed, sending plagues and waves of sin down on Earth like a rainstorm. He drowned cities, cast darkness into the hearts of idolized leaders and sent children to their graves so their parents would know the pain of losing a child. After too long, the population grew too large. He couldn't smite them fast enough. The Zodiacs had absorbed all of his energy and left him practically powerless. And when things turned modern and gods hardly recognized at all, the Zodiacs had to take a different approach. They placed themselves in positions of power all over the world, constantly searching the virgin girl who bore a triquetra symbol somewhere on her body. The only telltale mark to reveal her divine identity. PLOT: The future is now. In a world run by twelve figureheads, one of them, Aries, being the supreme leader, there is peace. Traditions are different. Religions are abandoned, poverty is at an all time high. The rich live in alien like luxury while the poor inhabit desolate wastelands like something out of a apocalyptic world. And it sort of is. The Zodiacs went to war with the Omni in the year 2332, destroying most of the population. The continents were split and destroyed, while creatures were mutated and grew rabid. The population now is a rough nine million. In the whole world. That's it. And amid the ruins and corruption of the Genesis (what the single, untied nation is named), the newest incarnation of the girl lives on. Somewhere. With no idea that the only way to collect her power back and restore balance to nature and the universe lies in simply remembering her name. (a love story between the "starchild" and a boy named Leon (portrayed by Dylan O'Brien, roleplayed by me) Leon: He is an echo. During the rebirth of Earth, the Leo Zodiac was ripped apart by the Omni in a last resort attempt to protect the humans and his daughter. The energy of the Leo was spread across the stars like dust particles in the air. Each little piece of the Leo is called an "echo". Each echo has the potential to, if revived/empowered by the other Zodiacs, evolve into the spiritual entity once again. Leo was one of the first Zodiacs to break free. And also the angriest, he held a grudge against the Omni for his abandonment. But he also became enchanted by the starchild, and he fell in love with her. He kept it secret from the others, and made it his own personal mission to find her in every one of her lifetimes. He soon lost track with the population boom, and when the Cosmic War happened, he knew that the Omni would use the last of his energy to smite the Earth. The Omni was destroyed, his energy left scattered much like Leo's. But Leo also hurried to protect the starchild from the blast, and when destroyed in the collision (as was the starchild's current physical form), the Leo and the girl's auras were combined, in a way. Leo imprinted on her forever, and whenever she is reincarnated, his physical form will find its way to hers. |
