He claims to love being put to the test, and greatly enjoys being put in miserable or chaotic situations in order to observe his reactions. With a thorough understanding of feline behavior and tendencies, he is able to determine people's thoughts and predict their reactions with high accuracy. Brackentail is cunning and charming but despite this, He has a very jolly and mocking personality, speaking informally with most people as if they are close friends and often using nicknames.

Littlepaw is a friendly, sheepish tomcat with a striking mood-swing. He can be scared at one point, and the next be attacking in full out rage. He tries to remain as passive as possible, but sometimes his mood swaps and he's acting differently. He tries to act like the other apprentices and appeal to be strong even with the body of a kit.

When Littlekit was very young, his mother, Tigerleaf and his father, Daggerstar were apart of a Clan journey, as they were apart of SkyClan at the time. They were traveling to new grounds, since their old territory was destroyed. They were all walking single-filled on higher land, near a ledge. An earthquake started rumbling, and cats were tossing everywhere. Unfortunately for Tigerleaf and Littlekit, they were closest to the ledge. Unable to get a good grip on the ground, they toppled off the edge. Luckily, to their advantage, the higher land wasn't too far up. Littlekit was tossed onto a small perch of rock that stuck out, while his mother fell all the way down. After the earthquake, Littlekit was still unconscious, so when the Clan rushed down to help Tigerleaf and they called for him, he was unable to respond. The Clan went on search parties, but all they found was a paw dangling off the perch and blood dripping from it. They automatically assumed that Littlekit was killed. Being forced to move on, the Clan did, leaving helpless Littlekit behind. Littlekit, on the other hand, had an older sister, one that was apart of the Clan, but wiser than most of the cats and by far the best fighter of all the cats. Her name was Cedarpaw(Cedarsplash). As the Clan started to move out after mourning the lose of Littlekit, was determined to see for herself whether or not her little brother was dead. Unable to get any other cats to help her, besides her best friend Nightpaw(Nighttalon), they stayed in the bushes and waited for the Clan to get out of sight. Then they sneaked out and climbed up to the perch and found Littlekit breathing. They carried him down and chased after the Clan, but following their scents crossed with newer scents that concerned them. They were finally so wrapped up in the newer scents that it was impossible to find their Clanmates. They had been cut-off from SkyClan. The two apprentices carried the kit away from the scents into the forest were they stayed three moons, adopting new names for themselves, Cedarpaw became Cedarsplash and Nightpaw became Nighttalon. Nighttalon gave Littlekit his apprentice name. Cedarsplash and Nighttalon rotated training Littlepaw. Since both cats impressing fighters, Littlepaw became a good fighter as well, though struggled with hunting, which Nighttalon was a natural at. One day, the three were out walking and exploring when they stumbled upon some Clan cats. At first they believed it was SkyClan, but the scents became more familiar, the ones that twined with their Clan's three moons ago. Quickly, the three cats became afraid, but was soon introduced to Kinkstar and willingly ask to join.

Nighttalon is a friendly and good-looking tomcat. He likes to appeal to the she-cats as much as he possibly cat, without seeming too desperate. Like his mother, Lightwing, he adapted the fear of not being able to find a mate and forever staying alone. Even though he is all over getting his work done, he makes sure to get it done as soon as possible so that he can try to find the perfect she-cat for himself and reel her in. He is very protective of the ones he loves. He acts like a fatherly figure towards Littlepaw, just because he wants to make sure that Littlepaw never feels as though he was abandoned by his family.

Nightkit was born into a litter of three. It was he, his sister Honeykit, and his brother Graykit. At the same time of Nightkit's birthing, Cedarkit was being born as well, making the two share a birthday. Naturally, the two became best friends. One day, still as kits, a fox sneaked in at night into the nursery and feasted on Graykit. Nightkit and Honeykit were awoken when they heard a small wail from their brother. The last thing they saw of him, was him being golfed down into the fox's throat. Honeykit screamed, waking the queens and Nightkit went into a rage and lunged for the fox. Luckily for them, Daggerstar was sleeping in the nursery with Tigerleaf and Cedarkit and managed to scare off the fox. Seeing the fox run off at the sight of Daggerstar, Nightkit wanted to grow to be as intimidating and strong as his leader and one day he would trace down that fox and avenge his brother. When they became apprentices, Nightpaw was very close to his sister and Cedarkit, though Honeypaw and Cedarpaw were not too fond of one another. Nightpaw trained day and night with Cedarpaw, who wanted to help Nightpaw succeed his goal. Honeypaw, on the other hand, wasn't one to liking combat training. She preferred to flirt with toms and go hunting and having fun. Nightpaw, figuring out that Honeypaw had no tightness to Graykit's death, started to distance himself from his sister. In his mind, he replaced Honeypaw's title as Sister and gave it to Cedarpaw. Treating one another as family, one night Nightpaw awoke Cedarpaw and the two sneaked out of camp in search of the fox. Unable to pick up a scent of Graykit anywhere, they did find a fox. Nightpaw was hesitant to fight, while Cedarpaw went full force at it with no regrets. Cedarpaw encouraged Nightpaw to help her, saying that he should think of the fox as the one that killed Graykit. Hearing his brother's name, Nightpaw went into a rage and attacked the fox. It was near dawn, when the two finally took it down. They dragged it to the center of camp, claiming it to be the one that killed Graykit. Of course the two were punished for leaving camp, but they were also awarded for their achieving skills and determination. Daggerstar, from that day, kept a close eye on Nightpaw. Through Nightpaw's determination, he had some anger still clogged deep within him. Nightpaw and Cedarpaw trained and trained and trained for countless hours a day with their mentors and on their own with one another. One day, Nightpaw and Cedarpaw were out hunting with their mentors when a cry came from not too far away. It was a shrill from a she-cat in which Nightpaw knew by heart. He dashed after the sound, speeding past Cedarpaw, who instinctively joined him. The two stumbled upon a rogue and his mate, pinning down the roughed up Honeypaw. She bled from multiple different spots it was hard to locate. Nightpaw unleashed the anger within him, while Cedarpaw was already in the air to attack. The two apprentices attacked the rogues, but were abruptly stopped by Honeypaw. Nightpaw tried to convince her it was right to fight, but Honeypaw refused. She threw a fit about how fighting was wrong and the whole point to a Clan was to fight other cats. Honeypaw had convinced herself that living life outside SkyClan was better suited to her needs. She stormed off into the forest with the two rogues that had pinned her down earlier. Confused to why Honeypaw had decided to go with the menacing rogues, Nightpaw chased after her, but was stopped by an annoyed claw to the face by Honeypaw. She told him she never wanted to see him again and threatened to attack him if he tried to stop her. That stopped Nightpaw, allowing her to run off. Deep within Nightpaw, hatred for rogues grew in play. From that day forth, he had a disliking towards rogues, loners, and any from the sort. It was a moon from losing his sister to the wilderness that the Clan went on their journey and where Nightpaw stayed behind with Cedarpaw to see if her younger brother was still alive. Four moons from losing his sister, he asked acceptance to LionClan.

She had two brothers, Nightkit and Graykit. Graykit was the weakest out of the three. One night, a fox sneaked into the nursery. Nightkit and Honeykit woke up just in time to watch their brother get swallowed by the fox. Honeykit was terrified, while Nightkit went to attack it. Honeykit started shouting and luckily, Daggerstar was in the nursery and scared off the fox. Honeykit was left petrified while her brother was outraged and thirsty for revenge. As time past, Honeypaw started to grow distant from her brother as he started to favor Cedarpaw, the daughter of Daggerstar more. At one point, Nightpaw actually replaced Honeypaw with Cedarpaw as his sister. Honeypaw was outraged by her brother's actions and started to blame it on Cedarpaw. One day, Honeypaw stumbled upon some rogues that were passing through. She started to talk to them. One trusted her but the male did not. He pinned her down when Nightpaw's scent floated through the air. Honeypaw started screaming. To her rescue came Nightpaw and Cedarpaw. Honeypaw was displeased. The two started to attack the rogues, but Honeypaw soon stopped them. Her last straws had been plucked. She told Nightpaw she was leaving the Clan and she did. She joined the rogues for a little bit and traveled with them, but she started to miss Clan life. She left the rogues and found herself stumbling upon StormClan.
