  • "Hey, I'm not a bird," she said, crossing her arms. I have membrane for wings, not feathers. "

  • "I never said you were. I merely said that my plant attracts anything with an eye for shiny things." Barali said.

  • “Well, yes, that.. I guess that does include me,” she said embarrassed. “That’s bad, isn’t it. I have a vice that can be used against me.”

  • "It is a part of who you are. But you need to learn that you can't have too many shiny things. If you do it will make a bit hard to live here." Barali said.

  • “Mmm... because you don’t like shiny things,” she frowned. “I get it now. You hoard treasure, but it takes the form of books and knowledge, doesn’t it?”

  • “Oh?” she questioned and looked around to see if she could spot it. “What is it then? I don’t see anything new,”

  • She tilted her head to the side, “You mean Scale? Is he going to come and live up here too?” she asked.

  • "I mean you." Barali said, "you've been such a wonderful friend to me and I appreciate everything you've done for me and all the dragons in this mountain.

  • “You really want to keep me around?” Karmin asked and felt her face grow hot.

  • “Well, if you are going to be my mate, then I suppose I do and should definitely be kept around,” she replied softly.

  • She tried to laugh the awkwardness out of the conversation. “Well then... I’m not quite sure what more to say.”

  • "Umm. Uria was very pleased when I told her I was making you a flower and Marcus muttered about you finally getting to put your own advice to use." Barali said, "I didn't understand it but it made Uria laugh."

  • "Ya ya, I bet he would make a fuss about that," she purred. "I got them to hook up. It is so odd. They spend just as much time trying to court their mates as they do trying to pretend thay don't feel anything towards the other." She tutted.

  • "You didn't seem to want to be honest and reveal your feelings when you accidentally told me," she prodded him in the side.
