  • She sighed. "So, I guess there isn't.much to this... Courtship then.

  • "Hmm. I will see." Barali said, "I'm going to go out for a while. Could you ask Scale for another bed while I am out, please?" Barali asked.

  • She nodded. "Al right. Just stay off that arm," she told him like a mother.

  • Karmin changed and soared down slowly on the air to visit with Scale.

  • While Karmin visited with Scale, Barali went to the southern tribe and landed near what he guessed was the leaders cave.

  • Inside the cave, Skrye was having his fun, scaring the daylights out of the king with his words.

  • Skrye appeared to be in a good mood as he pressed a clawed paw over the yelping king. Oh, how he would love to just skin the human.
"What do you want?" karmin asked then sniffed the air. "You're one of those northern tribe dragons. Finally get an eye for treasure and the southern dragon markets?" He asked, curling his tail around his gold.

  • "Actually I am on the hunt for a trinket." Barali said flinching at the kings yells, "I want to impress a dragoness but I am not able to show mating colors." Barali said.

  • "Hmmm... So you've turned to the human tricks to get her to be you mate," he laughed. "Well then, you should be out and about in the market."
The king tried to scurry away, but Skrye caught him, tossing him back angrily. "Get back here you feild burner!"

  • "I came to you because I can trade a trick of my tribe for a trinket." Barali said, "the only trinket I ask for is a gem in trade for my trick."

  • This seemed to make Skrye growl a little. "Go on...." He still said though.

  • "I know a way to give you the ability to shift to a human an back. Would you like a demonstration?" Barali asked.

  • Skrye hissed back his response. "Never have I ever felt the need or want to be one of those little creatures."

  • "What if there was a cave in and the only way out was a human sized hole?" Barali asked, "there are some things a dragon cannot do." He said.

  • Skrye huffed. "I would still never trade a trinket of a gem for something that would demean my form." He stated back, opening his wings to appear more menacing. "Now get out. If you want a gem, you will have to trade something of value in the market."

  • "If you insist." Barali said, "your 'pet's is running again." He said as he knocked the running king over with his tail.

  • The king landed, winded and Skrye pounced on him with his claws as Barali left.

  • Barali cautiously went to the market. The only thing he could offer for trade was the vine he used to bind his arm and it looked like it had white crystal leaves and contrasted with his dark scales.
