  • "Oh no, " she laughed. "They are use to there being humans around. Often, they use humans to serve them." she told him. "Clean their scales, organize their gold and treauser, things like that."

  • "I'm sure you could," she chuckled. "There are quite a few dirty spots from the other day still dulling their shine."
She stood up. "However, we cannot walk there. It would be adviseable to fly on me."

  • Marcus's eyes widened, "uhh. I'll warn you I've never been off the ground for longer than ten seconds." He said. Marcus had no idea how to handle this situation.

  • "You can grab a firm hold on my horns," she said, tipping her head. "I won't fly too fast, but take off will be tricky."

  • Marcus suppressed his fears and climbed on her and held onto her horns. His heart seemed to beat at impossible rates and he braced himself for take off.

  • Karmin decided to take a running jump, spreading her wings and flapping hard. He wasn't heavy, but the extra weight really did make it difficult.

  • Karmin's neck stretched out as she soared. "Are you not enjoying the ride?" she asked. "Look over there. There is your palace."

  • "I-I am enjoying the ride!" Marcus yelled over the wind, "but this is all very different!" He yelled and found looking down dizzy.

  • She laughed. "Don't worry, if you fall I will catch you," she assured him, turning away from the palace towards the mountains. "Tell me if you get too cold."

  • "I'm fine!" He called. The adrenalin pumping through his veins and kept him warm while the wind pushed his hair back.

  • Karmin began to descend. "We are going to make a quick stop at my cave. I want to make sure everything is where I left it and no one stole anything."

  • She landed softly so as not to jolt him. She started to pad into a cave in the side of a snowy mountain.

  • She walked him in farther, where a heaping piles of gold and treasure lay. "Does this surprise you?" she asked him, worried he may recognize somethings from churches and say she was bad for hoarding them as her treasure.

  • She bent down to let him off. "This is only a small collection. In these moutains, surviving to find it was more important." She said. "Other dragons where we're going have even more. Of course, all dragons love to show it off." She pulled some gold coins down from a pile.
