Here, I'll be leaving little stories and things for everyone to enjoy, comment, and criticize if you want to!
They'll probably be anywhere from 200 to 5,000 words long, and from a variety of different fandoms.
Enjoy!

[words: 279][characters: 1508] spoilers for Tokyo Ghoul :Re chapter 9 onward
summary: Haise struggles to remember.Ours is Just a Little Sorrow
He swears he’s been here before. Another coffee shop, another time, another place. Maybe if you accepted me you’d know. A headache threatens in the back of his head.
He can hear his children, the Quinx squad, scrabbling behind him as they attempt to pronounce the cafe’s name. In a way, he feels that their presence is disturbing something holy, something precious to who he was. As they enter, he breathes in deeply. A wave of nostalgia hits his chest like a speeding eighteen-wheeler. Heart beating fast, he tells Shirazu and Mutsuki that his “nose kagune” brought him here. When really, it was me… They point out the man at the counter, and when he and the man make eye contact, he flinches at his unnerving stare. He looks like he’s seen a ghost. Just then, a woman appears from the back, chastising the man for not greeting them. Haise’s grey eyes widen, taking her in. She’s changed, hasn’t she? Her voice trails off when she sees him, the somber glow of tears well at the corners of her eyes. With a blink of his eyes, her face is back to the cheerful mask it was before.
When she asks for their orders, he ungracefully blurts his out, embarrassing himself. He toys with his collar, hoping he didn’t make a complete fool out of himself. She smiled gently, and wrote down his order. He searches her eyes as she takes the others’ orders, seeing the same sorrow darken behind the mask. She leaves, and he is left wondering what she meant to him before.
Outside the coffee shop, he is still stuck in a daze. He is left with his thoughts as he lays on his bed, a name struggling to leave his lips.Touka.

[words: 44][characters: 223] just a small poem
Blue
Stumble into the day
With not much to saySlip and slide into the unknown,
Whatever the day has in store for you
Blue flowers edge white fence,
Blue sky surrounding white cloudsWhat will you do?
The whole day is yours to command -
[words: 86][characters: 478] this isn't serious at all and I haven't picked up an instrument since middle school
RANDOM POEM IDEA GENERATOR: Condescendingly compliment the trumpet with gusto
This is it, you think, hardly hearing yourself
over the glaringly offkey toots and honks.
The trumpets have made a mockery of the band.
The others in the light slight reed section all agree
The trumpets sound like sand.
Something must be done.
They nominate you, first seat flute
To knock them over the head with a lute.
Despite their cruel intentions,
You have a better idea:
To mention
How lovely they sound today.
Death by flattery.
“Nice job everyone”,
“Perhaps next time”,
“Use a tuner.” -
[words: 66][characters: 319] this is stupid
RANDOM POEM IDEA GENERATOR: Repeat something you heard about video games in a sudden outpouring of grief
Will Half Life 3 ever come out?
Even one tiny teaser would do
It has been eight years since Episode Two
Eight divided by two is four
Four minus one is three
Confirmed?
No way, shouts Gabe Newell from the sky
It seems we’ll have to wait through another half of our lives
About 3,000 years
3,000 without the three zeros is three
△? -
[words: 43][characters: 202] have you noticed these have been getting progressively worse and shorter? it's because I should be doing my chemistry homework
RANDOM POEM IDEA GENERATOR: Try and suppress your anger about levitation as though the world is about to end
Why, oh why,
Can only the birds fly?
Soaring high above the sky
I wish it were me that highIf this were my last day on earth,
wouldn’t you think it terse
If for the last thirty seconds
My wish wasn’t granted? -
[words: 152][characters: 785] this is roughly based on a little story I made once. I'll probably get around to posting the entire story someday, but for now, have a poem based on the ending!
Everything Ends
White paws move silently over metal beams
The ginger she-cat turns back, glancing at her companions.
They know it must be done,
It is the only way.
Regret clouds their eyes, wishing it was one of them
Instead of her.
Long black fur mixes with her own red and white,
A last goodbye from a good friend.
Are you ready?, the black cat asks,
Narrowed green slits staring blankly ahead.
She knows she’ll never truly be ready,
This life that had so much to give,
So much potential,
Ending in one day
Minutes whittling down to seconds.
She looks back.
There must be a way
To let her live,
But have the same end result.
It’s selfish, she knows,
But one as young as her
Can only wish for the best
Outcome with
The least consequences.
It needs to happen, she thinks,
For the world’s sake,
For my friends.
For the future. -
[words: 343][characters: 1775] another one about my story, this time summarizing how it started. it's kind of long and kind of very vague.
Stumbling into fate,
He moves his family from the city to the forest,
A safer haven away from humans.
He walks tail held high,
Strong voice echoing through the valleys.
He was chosen to lead,
Not out of his own ambition
But with kindness he accepts.
The masses, the solitary few, expect him
To protect from a threat not man made,
But of their own design.
Warily he approaches, a river divides them apart.
Only then does he see her,
His mate’s body broken on the beach,
Her blood the flag of war.
In the days that follow, she is his bloody reminder
Of what’s to come.
He is the great protector,
The unstoppable storm.
The enemy is fierce,
And wiser in their years than he,
But through love his is a better rule,
A dictator and a democrat cat.
He can feel their schemes,
But only when he is asked to come alone
Does he fear them.
None the wiser, he follows the shadowy tom
Who spoke heavy words in a tongue foreign
Only to the living.
The words he spoke to the leader
Were of greatness and fire,
A rising of what was lost
Through the death of one who still carries it.
It is then he knows his fate is sealed, and
He returns home heavy hearted
With the knowledge of the future.
He places his role unto his youngest daughter,
The strongest of all his children,
Her thick black coat gleaming in the moonlight.
The shady tom’s woes would become her reality,
But he trusts her with it more than himself.
He would face the enemy tonight,
And never return. She, as a ruler,
Was quite like her father
In kindness’s ways,
Eloquent in her speeches but rough in her emotions.
Stoic and simple, she was her own cat.
The enemy threatened on the banks across the river,
And there she stood,
Unflinchingly holding their stares.
She was like a rock,
And the little orange and white she-cat
Was the wave that knocked her out from under her paws. -
[words: 67][characters: 338] this is really, really weird and I don't have any explanations for it at all
No Light
Imagine a world with no sunlight during the day
No moonlight at night
What would it be like?
What would WE be like?
Would we have glowing antennae,
Like a deep-sea anglerfish?
Or would we have no eyes,
And see with our hands?
Either way,
It wouldn’t be that fun,
Especially if we lost
This light right now,
Before we had time
To do anything about it. -
[words: 80][characters: 408] it was really nice outside today
Flight
Birds swirling,
Dancing in the sky
Wouldn’t it be nice to see what they are seeing?
Wouldn’t it be nice to be as they are being?
Eyes like the hawk,
Speed like the swallow,
Singing like the sparrow,
Strength like the eagle,
Grace like the swan.
People have these traits as well,
But for some reason
Birds are better at it than we are.
Perhaps it is because they can fly,
Or because humans always want
What they can’t have. -
[words: 94][characters: 512] from one of my favorite things... I'll keep it under spoilers for those of you who haven't gotten this far yet
Skittering from town to town,
They hide from prying eyes and cameras.
Surviving the big incident was something people were in awe of,
But being possessed by your evil uncle and committing heinous acts
Is certainly not one of them.
They would wait until the media calmed down,
Until it was just a bad memory.
The city would rebuild itself,
The Gairyuki would need a little more time and effort
For it to be in proper working condition again.
They had all the time they needed,
If only they weren’t concealed from the public. -
[words: 109][characters: 543] did you know that the characters without spaces number is almost the same as the one I listed? It's 453, while the one counting spaces is 543. This is just a little slightly inspirational thing, for when things seem too rough to handle.
Little warrior, what are you looking for?
Is it fame,
and is it glory
That lights up your bright eyes?
Or is it the pure ambition to be something great
That speeds up your gait?
Do you want to be like those before you,
Or leave your own blazing trail?
Little warrior, don’t give up,
Your trial has only begun.
It may seem too steep to get over,
But this mountain is not unconquerable
Many have done it
And made their own paths.
Will you follow them,
Or find a shortcut just for you?
Little warrior, it is a dangerous world,
But you are strong
And you are brave. -
[words: 193][characters: 1030] I originally wrote this as a joke to one of my dearest friends because she hates Noragami, and I found it on my old phone recently so I decided to put it here for safe keeping
Sharp blue eyes darted around the hallway. His target was somewhere in here… The sea of emotions flooding from each person made it hard to pinpoint individuals, but if he tried hard enough, he could find her. He crawled stealthily out of the janitor’s closet, but just as he stuck his leg out, a bell rang, signaling the students to move on to their next cage. He slipped on a mop and fell, a bucket clanging around on his head. No one paid any attention to him, with the occasional comment of
“Ignore it. The janitor will clean it up”,
“Eew”, and one unique
“That’s nasty. I never wanted to see what Jim does in his spare time”. He had no idea what that meant, and didn’t want to know.
Once the halls were mostly cleared, he heard a soft giggling. He felt a warm hand grab his own, but it quickly recoiled when it felt the gross texture. He heard her footsteps retreat into the background followed by another giggle of “useless…”.
Slowly, he lifted up the bucket to see the tail end of her skirt and an actual tail trailing behind. -
[words: 58][characters: 277] this one is a little strange. I mean most of the stuff I write is weird, and it isn't the weirdest I've made, but it is certainly up there.
Your imagination grows with you
The more you see, the more it has to build with
Let it out so it can see
The more strange air you inhale, the more it exhales
Let it out so it can breathe
Go outside, travel, take in as much as possible
If not for yourself, do it for your imagination -
[words: 65][characters: 320] yet again another weird thing. it's people-study, I guess
The power to change
We all do it,
But for ourselves or others?
We blend into our surroundings
Not to stand out
But for our own safety
Other’s opinions fuel us
Burning our own desire to be true to ourselves
We pick and bite at each other until there are no bones left
After all, who are we trying to impress,
The world
Or ourselves? -
This is just a list of characters' appearances for my original story that I wrote the poems for. So, nothing that interesting or weird today~ This is just for the protagonist's family.
~
Oakley- Brown tabby tom with yellow-green eyes. He has a lighter chest, muzzle, legs, and tail, with one white splash on his chest. He is a natural born leader, but his weakness is his kindness and his eagerness to please others.Meralda- Orange classic tabby she-cat with long fur and amber eyes. She has white legs, tailtip, belly, throat, and blaze. She has orange patches around her nose. She is very willful, and follows her own rule.
(Unnamed)- Lightish brown she-cat with amber-green eyes. She has tabby marks on her tail, spine, face, and legs, with a white tailtip, muzzle, and hind right paw. She is from their first litter, and is very free-spirited like her mother.
(Unnamed)- Lighter brown tabby tom with amber eyes. He has a white stomach, paws, tailtip, and muzzle. He is the firstborn from their second litter, and is, to put it nicely, wimpy.
(Unnamed)- Greyish brown and light brown torbie with amber eyes. She has a white stomach, throat, blaze, and legs. She is kind of cowardly and shy, but is willful in her own way.
Holly- Dark grey/black she-cat with green eyes. Her stomach fur, face fur, and pretty much all of the tips of her fur is a lighter grey, giving her a smoky appearance (not like the actual smoke coloring, which is a black head and lighter body). She is the last to be born of the second litter, and is also the largest of their kits. Like her father, she is a natural-born leader, taking his place after he is killed. She is also quite stubborn, and has a way with words, despite being quiet. She has a blunt way of speaking, to the extent that some would call her emotionless, but she gets straight to the point without sugar coating things. Deep down, she really does care for everyone, and even develops a crush on the cat spoken of in the prophecy. When *that cat* has to face their fate, she is upset, but selflessly lets them fulfill the prophecy in order to restore natural balance in the cats' world.

More characters! This time, it is the main villain's family
~
Heighley- Calico/tabby she-cat with blue-green eyes. She is mostly white, with splashes of colour on her back, tail, hind legs, and forehead. She is controlling and bitter. She is very stubborn, and believes that cats are inherently evil, and need a firm leadership to bring them in the right direction.Tobias- Heighley's nephew. Black and white tom with amber eyes. He has black on his forehead, a bit on his nose, tail, and back. He doesn't understand how to show affection without control, as he has never been in a loving environment. Deep down, he is a good cat.
Aspen- Heighley's niece. Pale grey tabby and white she-cat with yellow-green eyes. She has a white stomach, legs, blaze, and tailtip. She is despised by Heighley for reminding her of her sister, and is treated like an outcast. She wants to run away, and plans to do so with Oakley's firstborn daughter. She is friendly and trusting, with a stubborn streak.
Tobias and Aspen's Father- Grey/brown tabby tom with amber eyes. Is treated violently by Heighley for "taking away" her sister. Due to her treatment, he has lost both his eyes, has shredded ears, and is covered in scars.
Heighley's family's she-cats have always had troubles giving birth; like her sister and her mother, they usually die in the kitting process. For that reason, Heighley has never taken a mate, and shuns Aspen. Heighley hates her sister's mate because she blames him for not being there when she died, and for not caring enough about her life.
Due to their father's removal from everyone's lives, he is viewed as a lesser cat. He had no part in the raising of his children's lives, and most likely doesn't remember anything because of Heighley's aggressive "punishment".

Just a character rant from my story. I'm really considering changing her personality...
Heighley as a character makes me really uncomfortable to write about. At first glance, she's like the generic villain, but her mental state and her actions make her seem less of a villain and more or less just misguided?? But then she treats everyone around her horribly especially if they're a she-cat and abuses her sister's mate to the brink of death and it makes me torn between disgust and pity for her. Thankfully, she gets what she deserves in the end (not spoiling anything lolol)

How about some oracle characters?
~
The first "Fortune Teller"- Black and white spotted tom with blind blue eyes. He's very old, and kept in poor conditions under Heighley's command. He can read the stars and the earth for signs and omens. He is the one to find out about the newest prophecy, and he tells both Heighley (because she ordered him to) and Oakley (because he knows he'd see it through) before dying. All "Fortune Tellers" have a bald spot behind their right ear, and their powers are reincarnated in a way into a newborn kit right after their death. The second "Fortune Teller", Sirius- Black with a white splash on his chest, and has starry bright blue eyes. He was born after the first's death, inheriting his powers. He is young and very sly, and he often slips out of Heighley's territory to warn Holly about oncoming attacks. He is the second one to see the prophecy, through dreams of the first showing him what he "saw". His mother covered his bald spot with soot so neither Heighley or her minions could find him. He somehow knows where almost every character is, and often sneaks up on them without any warnings. He also finds a way to be everywhere at once, and no one knows where he will pop up. It's becoming sort of a running gag, actually.

Have some mildly important characters!
~
(Part One)
Traveling around the continent (not that drastic) to find the "promised place" with Minako are her loyal companions. When she showed up with such a conviction like she only had a week to live (very close to literally), they couldn't help but to follow in her charismatic path. They are...Shinji- Thick-furred dark brown tabby tom with blue eyes, and white stomach, blaze, front paws, and hind legs. He is very kind, but hides it under a gruff exterior. He enjoys fighting with Aki over anything. He came from a barn where he was raised by a lone she-cat who took in stray kittens. Before the journey, he helped her with all the other stray kittens.
Aki- Silver pointed oriental shorthair tom with pale blue eyes. He has a white muzzle, paws, belly, and tailtip. He is kind of a spacecase, always thinking about fighting, getting stronger to protect his loved ones, and eating. Despite this, he is very affectionate and cares deeply for his team. Before the journey, he was a lone stray whose parents were taken away at a young age and had to learn to fend for himself. He'd go visit Shinji and wrestle as kittens, and never grew out of the habit. He has a crush on Minako, but they seem to be the last to realize this.
Orla- Flame tabby pointed she-cat with blue eyes. She has a white muzzle, chest, paws, and tailtip. She is very protective, and notices everything around her and is very aware of others and how they feel. She feels the need to defend every weak cat who can't stand for themselves, and despite being small, she handles herself very well in a battle. She's been jokingly called a tank because of how well she can defend herself. Before the journey, she was taken care of by the same she-cat that took in Shinji. Unlike him, she left the barn to learn about the world on her own, and came back a couple of times to train the older kittens how to live on their own.
Affery- Mostly grey-brown tabby she-cat with earthy green eyes. She has a white splash on her chest, as well as white paws and tailtip. She's shy, but has a great sense of hearing. She helps the team out by hearing any possible dangers before they run into them, and is a great hunter due to this. She was a housecat for a short period of time, and because of this she doesn't fight that well. Before the journey, she was born to an ill mother, but was then taken in by humans. Around the time of the crisis, her mother escaped with her. She was too young to understand what happened, being just a newborn, but her mother died soon after. She was too young to do much of anything, and another human family took her in, this time an elderly couple. They took good care of her until she was old enough to leave. She then wandered around aimlessly, scavenging for food in dumpsters and roadkill. She was found by Minato and her brothers, and was taken in by them. With them she stayed, until tragedy struck, and they were forced to split. It was then that Minako realized her destiny, and began the journey with her trustworthiest and only friend...
~
To be continued! I have to study, for now...
