    If you want to get dark shading/highlights with colored pencils, I find it easier to actually use a darker/lighter color to do it. Makes it much faster :3


    Also, I like the idea of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place as well

    I usually do use a variety of colors for shading, but for many of my drawings I only go into detail if it is a big project. I tend to do a lot of quick sketches and then big masterpiece type drawings, I need to find a happy medium. XP


    I'm taking an art class on profile drawing right now, so I think my Gaylord drawing is going to come out much better than the one before. I've had a lot more practice this past week on human figures.
