Airpaw brightened impossibly more. "Let's go hunting first!!" he said excitedly. His tail maving a grin even wider than the first planting itself across his face.

"Sure, I'll let you take over for today, so I can see how well you're doing." Truthfully, Searingflame thought his apprentice was doing well. Besides the bird incident, it all seemed to be going well, whether or not the fighting training was going a little slower than he'd anticipated.
-
Airpaw hopped eagerly from paw to paw. "Great!" he said, and took off. Scenting the air as he ran. Catching the scent of rabbit he veered and came upon it as he was sprinting. With a shreik of joy and freedom he hurled himself at it, imagining himself a hawk, wings spread, beak open, talons extended to catch his prey... BAM! Airpaw was on the rabbit, both predator and prey rolling over and over in the dusty soil of the moores. The rabbit was lurching and biting him reapetedly kicking at the small apprentice with all of its life force. Airpaw hung on to the rabbit, for hawks never let go of their prey. The rabbit, being stronger and heavier than the small apprentice, dragged Airpaw with it a few feet, as it gradually began to wriggle from Airpaw's grasp. He dug his claws in hard and got his back paws underneath him, then he kicked the spine of the rabbit with his back legs and landed on the rabbit. Scuffed, bleeding from minor rabbit bites, and dusty, Airpaw stood ontop of his prey with an "Aha!!" or triumph. He began a victory dance around his kill, "Hahahahaha! The hawk strikes again! Teehee!" he sang repeatedly as he danced around the rabbit. Shaking himself off, he licked his chest fur into place and began buisily digging a hole to bury his catch in.
-
Searingflame nodded."Looks like you've finally got one." He had no idea what Airpaw meant by hawk striking, but hey, he wasn't going to complain."Ready to get back to camp?"
-
"Sure!" Airpaw said, still happy about his catch. He picked it up, and began to drag it, but found it was rather hard when the Rabbit had more muscle than Airpaw.
-
"Want some help?" Searingflame offered. He bent over the prey, prepared to take it in his jaws.
-
With a sigh of reliefe Airpaw nodded, "Yeah, that would be nice." he said, and smiled at Searingflame. He like his mentor. He liked him alot.
-
Searingflame nodded, gripping the prey in his teeth and lifting him off the ground. It wasn't too much of an effort for him, especially since Airpaw would be helping."'Et's get goin' then." he meowed as well as he could around the rabbit.
-
Airpaw held up the other end, the job extremely less difficult, and began to move. "Arright." he said around a mouthfull of rabbit fur.
-
Searingflame helped take the rabbit back to camp, throwing it in the fresh-kill pile as soon as they got back."There we go!" he announced."Well done once again, Airpaw." He was full of pride for his apprentice. He was doing well, from what the warrior could see.
-
Airpaw beamed at his mentors praise, none of his mentors had ever done that before, they had cursed him and told the leader, that they simply could not train this arrogant apprentice. But Airpaw hadn't treated them very well at all, so he guessed he deserved the curses. But Searingflame, was patient, and put up with the slow pace he learned at. "Thanks Searingflame, when should I meet you for our next day of training?" he asked, he was actually looking forward to training.
-
Searingflame grinned at his apprentice's eagerness."In the center of camp, beside the fresh-kill pile. We'll be out right after breakfast."
-
Airpaw nodded Eagerly, "Ok! See you then!" he said, before skipping off to the apprentice's den.
-
"Yep, until tomorrow." Searingflame replied with a flick of his tail, before making his way back to the warriors' den for a good rest.
-
What next captain? New thread, time skip? Hmm? Hmm?
Ic: Airpaw flicked his tail in awknowlagment before dissapearing into the apprentice's den for a nice, long nap.
-
ooc: Sure! To his warrior ceremony if you want.
Searingflame slowly fell into sleep in his nest, paws splayed out under him.
-
Well... I think I'd like to keep him an apprentice for a while longer if you don't mind...
Ic: Airpaw closed his eyes gently.
-
ooc: That's fine, how much of a time skip do you want then?
Searingflame snored gently.
-
Ooc: Maybe a month, that'll get Airpaw closer to his warrior ceremony. That meens he is now Nine moons old. :)
Ic: Airpaw stirred in his sleep, he dreamed he was hunting out on the moor, chasing after a large rabbit.
-
ooc: Alright!
*time skip*
Searingflame stretched out his legs, waking up once more in his daily routine. It was time for yet another day of training with Airpaw, and he didn't mind at all.
The tom got out of his nest, then slowly left his den, making his way to the fresh-kill pile as normal.
