IC: Awake. That was something Raggedkit was constantly. The poor kit hardly ever took a moment for a rest, preferring to stay up and explore or play at all times. Tanglecrow had to all but hold her down in the nest to make her sleep at night! When Ratkit's voice yowled throughout the nursery Raggedkit was instantly alert, having been pretending to nap until her mother was asleep. "I'm awake!" she squeaked, leaping out of her nest and padding over to her Clanmate. She hoped he'd want to play outside, seeing as she didn't want Tanglecrow to wake up and tell her to go back to bed.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]It was as if he had read her mind! Raggedkit quickly nodded and bolted out of the nursery's entrance, glad to see her mother and brother were still sound asleep. Tanglecrow could get rather cranky when she was woken up too soon, and she'd definitely be cross if she knew she was skipping her nap once again. Now that they were in the clearing the scruffy black feline turned to Ratkit, her bright green eyes sparkling. "So, what game do you want to play? I'll play pretty much anything as long as it's exciting," she meowed with an excited grin, curious to hear what he'd suggest.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]The leader's branch? Raggedkit stopped for a moment to try and remember what her mother had said. Wasn't it the place at the very top of the tree in camp? The ebony kitten padded a bit closer to the enormous trunk and lifted up her paw, trying to judge the distance in her own way. It was certainly a difficult task, but she was one determined little she-cat. "Let's do it! Steamkit and the others will be so jealous if we make it up there!" she meowed excitedly, her eyes now burning with stubborn resolve. They'd have to be super sneaky though for any warrior would surely stop them if they were spotted.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 3px; text-align: left; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: arial; font-size: 5pt;]The little ebony kitten followed Ratkit with blazing excitement in her gaze, sneaking to the back of the tree without being spotted by another. Her claws flexed in anticipation as she looked high into the branches, trying not to be unnerved by how high it was. "Alright, let's get started!" she whispered, not wanting any of the nearby warriors to hear. Raggedkit latched on to the trunk and began to pull herself up, using her small but sharp claws to dig into the bark. There was surprisingly a lot of grip, allowing her to move up a little bit at a time without slipping. "This is too easy!" she boasted playfully, glancing down at her friend.[/fancypost]
  • Ratkit smiled but with a paw with no claws he leaped up hind legs first dangling then he slung his clawed fore paw his hind legs fore paw till he was up high. "Ha Raggedkit!"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: justify; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 5pt;]The young she-cat waited until her friend began to climb too, though she didn't want him to get ahead of her. "I bet I can beat you to the top!" she meowed with a determined grin, clawing her way up higher. A light newleaf breeze tickled her fur as they went further up the trunk, so far undetected by another else in camp. It was nice to have little adventures like this, seeing as there was only so much fun to be had in the stuffy nursery. Their position now was closer to the branches that made up the apprentice sleeping area. They'd have to be careful here if they didn't want to be detected.[/fancypost]
  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: justify; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 5pt;]Raggedkit let out a squeak of surprise as Ratkit fell, her eyes wide with worry. "Are you okay?" she called down, digging her claws hard into the bark so she didn't fall as well. It was a fairly long way down from where she was positioned and there was no way in StarClan she was giving up, not unless her friend needed help. Once she confirmed his condition she'd be right back at it again, but for now she waited to see if the other kit would respond or not. If he gets hurt we are gonna be in so much trouble![/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: justify; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 5pt;]What?! Raggedkit immediately began to climb down, her heart racing when she heard he was hurt. However, her own claws began to slip as she tried to make it. Going up had been easy but her grip in the opposite direction was next to nothing. Every time she attempted to move her claws gave way, causing the she-cat to lock up where she was. The only thing the ebony she-cat could think of was to call for help, even if it meant they would definitely be in a world of trouble. "Mom, help!" she called out, hoping her cry would reach her sleeping mother's ears.

Luckily for Raggedkit she had a big mouth like her mom. Tanglecrow woke with a start, her ears perked when she heard her daughter's cry. "What in StarClan's name did she do?" she grumbled, jumping to her paws to exit the nursery. It wasn't hard to follow the sound, leading her around the main tree to see one kit on the ground and her daughter clinging to the trunk for dear life. "Raggedkit, stay still!" she ordered, her voice subtly angry. Now wasn't the time for scolding but she was definitely going to be in trouble for this.

The massive black queen climbed into the tree with a few simple movements, plucking her kit from the trunk and making her way back down with ease. Once Raggedkit was safely on the ground both she-cats were at Ratkit's side, Tanglecrow carefully inspecting him. Without a word she lifted him up by the scruff and headed into the direction of Cindercloud's den. "Is he gonna be okay?" Raggedkit called after her mother, though recieved no reply just yet.

All three cats made it to the medicine cat's den in a hurry. Tanglecrow gentle placed Ratkit in one of the empty nests and looked around, trying to find the gray female. "Cindercloud, are you in here? Ratkit's shoulder is in pain," she explained, trying to adjust her eyes to the darkness of the hollow tree trunk.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: justify; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 5pt;]OOC: Waiting for Pooh's reply now. :3 I sent her a PM with the thread.[/fancypost]

//my internet is finally back on (: Also, Rainbow, is Ratkit's shoulder displaced or Broken?

Hearing her name, the pale tabby stumbled towards the entrance of the hollow stump. Seeing the three cats, Cindercloud made her way to the kit lying in the nest. Placing a paw gentle on his shoulder, the medicine cat looked up at the queen, Tanglecrow. "What happened?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: justify; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 5pt;]"We were climbing and he fell and I'm so, so, so sorry! Please don't be mad at us!" Raggedkit meowed suddenly, padding in front of Ratkit with a worried look on her face. She didn't want him to be in trouble for all of this and she certainly didn't want him to be seriously hurt. Tanglecrow sighed sympathetically, unable to continue being mad when she saw the remorse on her daughter's face. However, that didn't change the fact Ratkit was injured from their foolishness. "That about sums it up. Will his leg be okay?" the ebony queen asked, ushering Raggedkit over to her so Cindercloud could work. A broken limb was a very serious issue, one most young cats never recovered properly from. She just hoped that it wasn't bad enough to cause permanent damage.[/fancypost]
