[shadow=black,left]LOKE[/shadow]The mountain lion had gone extremely inactive. His roleplayer really didn't want it to come to this, but there was nothing else to be done.

The cougar was heading through the forest. It was a nice day, sun shining, birds singing, but it was to be the goodbye of a friend. He had a wife to get to, kids, if they were still around. No doubt he was missed.

Life had other plans of course, and the mountain lion wouldn't get to stay much longer. He was halfway back to the mansion when the large feline unluckily stepped too close to a venomous snake. It must not have liked that.

It shot out of nowhere, fangs sinking into Loke's shoulder. Instinct kicked in, and he flung it away but it was a bit late for that. The poison was already working. The cougar was soon laying in the grass, struggling to stay awake.

He wasn't going anywhere. Not yet. He'd get to say goodbye at the very least.

[ I've gotten too inactive on the site in general, so I'm killing Loke off. I loved roleplaying here in the Skulls, and if I ever get back on my feet I'll be sure to either bring him back or join as a new character. ]

Let's just say Remilia was just walking around when she came across this.
Her eyes widened, and she cursed. We don't have a medic! Oh! Rosencratz?!
    "Rosencratz!" the vampire yowled.

Avorio came running at Remi's cry. If someone was calling for Rosen, that meant someone was hurt. Or worse.

In Loke's case, it was 'Or worse'. The lion was on the ground, struggling to keep his eyes open and his breathing continual. Not Loke. Please not Loke. But there wasn't time for the femme's grief. In Loke's time of dying, he would want to see his family one last time. Avorio could at least grant that wish for him.

'I'll find Aolani,' the bronze femme told him, and didn't waste a single moment before bolting back to camp.

Carcosa stood silently beside the lion, gazing down with sympathy. She didn't know him, but it seemed he was much loved.

  • Rosencrantz had been hiding away from the camp. The weight of her own loss heavy remained heavy on her shoulders. She had had a mate and only days ago he was snatched away from her. The wolf never even got the chance to say good bye. Since then she had been completely inconsolable. The wolf had spent the long hours of the day crying and curling up within Rangi's bed which at least carried his scent still.

Then there was cry almost like a scream of terror. She had heard similar when her love had died so in the knowledge made haste in its direction. A small part of her selfishly hoped that it would be him, alive. But no such luck was granted. Instead she found the dying mountain lion with friends crowded around him. It was Loke, a long standing member of the clan and mate to Aolani. History was repeating itself it seemed. At least fate had been cruelly kind by keeping him alive this long to speak with the clouded lepoard despite his pain.

Noticing some poppy seeds, Rosencrantz harvested their seeds and give them to Loke. She could do nothing to save him now, the poison had take too greater effect and she had no time but the wolf did not want him to be in more pain than he had to. "Loke? Take these...They'll make you feel a little more comfortable...I'm sorry...". Rosencrantz hated giving up on people and this would only add to her sorrows later but he was too far gone and she could not do anything more for him.

And a rock feels no pain

The clouded leopard knew something was wrong. She knew it inside. Perhaps it was the bond, too. Rising to her feet, seeing as Avorio seemed here to get her, a bolt of panic flashed through her. Her daughter Willow blinked up in confusion. With a quick glance at the little cub, hoping she knew to stay, Aolani was bolting off, fast as she could. "L-Loke?!" She cried out, coming to a sliding halt beside the mountain lion. No... No, what's wrong? It hurt her too, the pain tugging at their bond.

"L-loke?" She repeated, quieter, hopefully. He didn't look so good, but she refused to let him go. She refused. He was still awake, however hard it was for him. "L-Loke t-talk to me, yeah?"

[shadow=black,left]LOKE[/shadow][ It won't be forever, I promise. Sometime I might come back. You guys are making me tear up now. ]

Remi. Avorio. Oh stars, Avorio. Everything was a bit fuzzed up, but he knew who was here. Who was not. He didn't know one of the clanmates here, but Rosencrantz, he felt a pang of sadness. She was trying to help, but he knew, and no doubt she knew, it was a bit too late for that.

Next Aolani. Avorio had been quick. That was good. The cougar gave Rosencrantz a small nod, and took the seeds before locking his teal gaze on Aolani. "Hey 'Lani," he murmured, cracking his best smile. Poor 'Lani. He didn't want to give up on her, but he didn't have much time. The poppy seeds at the very least dimmed the pain. "You take care of them now, yeah?" He said, them meaning their cubs. "Maxy'll come back, I know it, alright? So you don't worry." He knew their dapper little boy had gone missing.

"Is Willow here, 'Lani?" He asked softly. It was selfish, he knew, to want his little girl here before he had to leave her, but he wanted to see her. Charlotte too... But she had gone missing a while back. Inactive. Just like him. Hopefully she'd show up again one day. And Maxwell, he wanted to see him too, but he didn't know where that boy of theirs went off to. It was for plot reasons he vanished. Willow would follow sooner or later for the same thing, but he'd come back. Somehow Loke had that assurance.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 350px;]
Said plot was sort of going downhill planning wise, but hopefully that'd be fixed. The dapper little clouded leopard however, would make an appearance. If not a silent one.

He had the ability to hang around, but only for short amounts of time. He couldn't leave the shadow realm for too long. The concept of death was still a bit foreign to the young leopard, but he understood well enough that something wasn't right with his dad. Something was very wrong.

With a frown etched across his maw, Maxwell stood nearby, hidden in the shadows. A serious of silent questions resounded in his mind; what's wrong with dad? Will he be okay? Why does everyone look so sad?
