  • Uh, so this is the first roleplay I've done on this site. Basically, Shade Wink (the cat that's my image) goes on a journey to find the Water after a drought takes away everything she had. However, she cannot make the journey across the hills alone.

    Shade Wink information:

    Gender: Female
    Clan/No Clan?: No clan
    Age:: 12 moons
Pelt: Black with white facial marking- not very thick
    Mate: No, maybe needs one?
Other: Sharp claws, intelligent, well-muscled. However, the white face patch is her huge weakness, due to it possibly giving away her positions/location unless she artificially hides it, i.e with mud.

If I did this right, I'll start...

Shade Wink pads across the dry rocks, the heat making her fur stand on end. It's been months since she had a full stomach and absolutely clean water, and she doesn't notice that she is wandering into Clan territory.

  • Maybe I could RP with you? My character is usually Shadow____, but she probably wouldn't fit well in this RP. So I'm using Batbite!
    Batbite information:
    Gender: male
    Clan/no clan: DragonClan
    Age: Almost 15 moons
Pelt: Dark grey with yellowish chest and two yellowish dots above his jade green eyes
Mate: no, but might get one

Batbite was on patrol when he noticed a she-cat. "Hey!" He called out, "What are you doing here?" He dashed over to her.

  • Shade (just call her that for the moment) looks up, startled, and flattens her ears to her head. She knows this is a fight she cannot win, but unsheathes her claws nonetheless.

"Crossing this piece of land." She mews coldly.

  • OOC: Okay
IC: Batbite backpedaled at the coldness of her voice, "You can cross, even though I'm supposed to capture you and take you back to camp. I'll let you go, but only if you tell me where you're going." A mischievous glint shone in his jade eyes.

  • Shade sighs and sits down.

"Since you obviously aren't letting me go anywhere, I might as well tell you. I'm going to the Far Lands to look for a place where the prey runs well and the water isn't dried up completely- where the drought hasn't struck."

She flicks her tail sadly towards a dry streambed.

  • Batbite sat down as well. "DragonClan has barely gotten along. I'm coming with you. My Clan needs water and food. At least two of us have died each day."

  • Batbite meowed, "DragonClan is in trouble. We only have right cats left. They will let me go. One less to take care of. One less to lose." His expression turned dark, "And if we find it and get back to tell our Clans, they'll be happy. Thy couldn't be mad at me. Trust me, my leader won't care."

  • Shade isn't so sure, but she says nothing as she stands up and sheathes her claws.

"It's almost sunset now- the time when the last group of clan cats go hunting. We need to get out of clan territory, and soon." she mews as she dissapears through the pine trees.

  • Shade glances at him.

"In times of desperation, you'd be surprised at the things cats can do. We still need to leave, and soon. Other cats hunt here as welll, from the other groups- 'clans', you call them?" she mews.

She weaved around a gorse bush and slashed the last bit of undergrowth with a claw, ending up in front of a Thunderpath.

  • ((hello there! may I join?
    Name: Niatani
    Gender: Female
    Clan/No Clan?: No Clan
    Age: 19 months
    Pelt: Black, long-furred, amber eyes
    Mate: None

  • (Yes, you may join).

Suddenly Shade stiffened up. She caught a new scent on the breeze and whirled around, pale gray eyes narrowed.

"Another cat." she murmured as the stranger finally came into view.

Shade slunk closer to the other cat, claws unsheathed, creeping silently over the leaf-litter, keeping to the shadows where her black pelt kept her hidden.

  • Niatani wore a blissful face, humming a soft tune as she walked along. Her tail was swishing as she walked, causing leaves to rustle. Twigs and grass snapped under her paws. It was clear she didn't care about the noise she made. There was one thought on her mind, a happy thought. It was an image of her friends: Hazeru, Esevath, and Hivera. They were feasting on choice cuts of prey and they relaxed under the jasmine flowers that surrounded a nearby lake. At least, she thought it was nearby.

Imagining food made her nose sniff out any prey scents, making her stomach rumble slightly. She licked her lips, green eyes glazing over as she imagined the prey they would share together. Mmm...Squirrel, mouse, fish, vole, shrew...cat? At last she came to her senses, snapping out of the prey-induced daze. There were more felines near her. She stopped in her tracks, tilting her head as her ears started to flick around, hoping to catch any noise. She kept her claws sheathed, at least until she was sure. Now she wasn't so keen about the relaxing day she and her friends had planned.

  • (Knowing my computer, this has probably posted about four times by now. Sorry if it does.)

Shade withdrew slightly, knowing she had been detected. She took a pawful of mud from underneath the leaf-litter and slathered it all over her pelt, paying more attention to the white spot on the top of her face. For her own reason, she left just the tip of her tail unmuddied.

"Perfect." she thought. It would disguise her scent and her pelt.

Unsheathing her claws again, she crept forward on the leaf-litter, as silent as a moth on grass.

  • IC: Batbite followed, rolling in the mud silently to cover his yellowish spots of fur. He unsheathed his claws and crept forward alongside Shade.

    OOC: Hi there!

  • "Watch this." she mewed softly to Batbite.

Creeping slowly, Shade snaked her long tail through the leaf-litter until the dark tip was the only part visible, and it was positioned right in front of the dreamy-looking stranger. She twitched her tail tip slowly, making it look like the tail end of a piece of prey that was scuffling in the grass.

"And now," she murmured, "we wait."

  • "If the loner is dreamy enough, she'll follow my tail thinking it's prey. Then we can pounce." she mewed softly to Batbite.

  • (really sorry for long reply. i wasn't in the mood for rping these past days)

Out of the corner of her eyes, Niatani saw the tail. Her amber eyes were confused. Was that a mouse? No, it wasn't small enough. And it was black; she knew mice here were usually shades of brown and grey. And she had just been stomping everywhere just minutes ago. That would have scared away the prey in at least a couple cat-lengths radius of her. Although she was in a dreamy and hungry state before, she wasn't that lost. She knew it wasn't any prey item- at least not anything she knew. She recalled the cat scent that was in the area and she unsheathed her claws. Her whiskers twitched nervously, tail tip flicking back and forth. It was a cat but she was only half sure. She gulped, ears pressing back against her head.

"Hello? Who's out there?" she tentatively called out. She prepared herself for any attacks to the front, muscles stiffening to be ready to either pounce forward or run away.
