Koti seemed surprised, and gasped as Mickey took her hand and dragged her along. Once she saw what waited outside she felt oddly moved by the small gesture. “I…” she started to say, but her eyes were tearing up again; no one had ever done this for her. “You're being too kind to me,” she whispered finally. “Thank you.” She felt the urge to hug the child, but didn’t want to bother Charlie while she cooked. She glanced instead to Naria, and wondered if she should say something about how they left things last night, but the asari seemed busy. Instead, she looked back to Mickey; it was still her house, so Koti waited for the human to go get her food first.

To her own surprise, Koti found herself giggling as well. “You’re talking to the person who’s only had nutrient paste for a good part of the past year,” she joked happily. “Spirits, I bet this will be amazing.” She took her own plate of dextro-food, then followed after Mickey like a puppy, wanting to sit next to her wherever she went.

The turian followed and quickly sat down next to Mickey, subconsciously leaning towards her a bit. She glanced to Naria as well, but still didn’t say anything. She finally turned to her plate, and forked some of the food into her mouth. Her remark from before had not been a joke; she hadn’t eaten this well in as long as she could remember, and she savoured both the taste and the texture like it was her first meal in months.

She tried not to eat too greedily, as she seemed to recall humans had something called ‘table manners’. Not that they were at a table, but she decided not to chance it. After a while she forced her head away from the food and looked back to the asari. “Naria, did you help pick this out?” she asked. “Because it’s delicious,” she tried to compliment. “Thank you.”

The Turian had another bit of food and listened to the child. "Thank you, Charlie," she called back. "You're a really good cook..." she tried to compliment. "Why don't you come join us after that? I'll sit on the floor to make room."

Koti gasps. "I- I'm not!" she objected weakly and felt herself blush again. She wanted to object further, but was too hungry and returned to her plate. Her mandibles flickered excitedly though, and she kept looking at Mickey from the corner of her eye. "You're really cute though," she whispered.

Koti shivered slightly but leaned her cheek towards the kiss. She glanced a little self-consciously to Naria after that though. She finished her meal in silence, thankful for having some time to collect her thoughts and just enjoy feeling Mickey against her. She put the plate down after that, and leaned back in the couch with a contented sigh. She didn't want to disturb Mickey too much when she was eating, but the turian's fingers still traced lightly over her arm and shoulder, like she couldn't resist touching the human.

Once Mickey was done with her plate, Koti allowed her arm to slide down and rest over the human’s stomach instead. “I- I bet you’re the first person ever to say that to a turian…” she tried to joke. Mickey seemed more confident again, and it was giving her butterflies. Her eyes wandered quickly between Naria as she left, and Mickey. Part of her thought she’d ought to object and offer to help the asari with the plates, but she didn’t want to leave Mickey’s side.

"I only do it for you," Koti joked, but as the turian heard the shower start, she suddenly had an idea that snapped her right out of the moment with Mickey. She turned down to the human. "This will sound a little strange," she started, "but where are the water controls in this apartment?" Her mandibles flared evilly, and she made no attempt to hide the fact that she was up to something.

"Yeah, I'm keeping you," Koti joked and gave Mickey a quick kiss. After that, she giggled evilly and turned to the controls; without even hesitating, she then manipulated the settings to turn off the heat completely and chill the water as much as possible. "You may have won our last battle, Naria," she said dramatically for Mickey's benefit, "but you're not winning the war!"

The turian raised her head triumphantly and snickered at Naria’s expression. “You should quit while you’re ahead, asari,” she teased after her as she left. “Or at least, while you’re still not hopelessly far behind!”

She laughed happily as she returned the settings to how they used to be, and then looked down to Mickey who was still laughing on the floor. Koti playfully sat down over her and placed a hand to her flushed cheek. “You are a pretty mean sister,” she mused. “Not that I don’t appreciate it, but at this rate I might have to punish you too," she joked.
