Tohru was still blushing when there was a knock on the door. A doctor stepped in, checking to make sure he was in the right place. Ruffing his papers, he announced "Tohru Honda. Yes, well you will be able to leave by tomorrow."

Kyo left the bathroom, running a hand through his hair with a curious look at the doctor. Still, he heard 'tomorrow'. What was going to happen tomorrow? Did she need surgery? Was someone going to come? Did she need to get a checkup then have to stay for another week? When the doctor left, he approached Tohru's bed and sat on the edge, glancing at her with curious eyes. "Now don't act so flushed, as if you haven't seen me naked before. Or any of the Sohma's" He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest.

Tohru laughed a little. "he said by tomorrow- that could be today! I guess that they're just making sure that I'm good before they send me into the world." she smiled again "but I doubt that anything harmful will get in a 20ft radius of me." she said, knowing that the Sahomas would likely be overprotective.

"Not with me around nothing will" Kyo whispered and lightly brushed back some oh Tohru's hair "Not that dumb rat, not any of the others. Just me" he blinked with a tiny smile. "Because I'm strong enough to protect you this time."

Tohru smiled, but she was a bit worried. Was Kyo beating himself up about that? She hoped not. A maid walked in with her lunch. Some fish, a rice ball, and a bowl of fruit. Smiling, she cut the fish in half, and the maid walked out. Giving the slightly bigger half to Kyo, she nibbled on her rice ball.

"Your food's better than this you know" Kyo mumbled, returning the larger piece of the fish, grabbing the smaller one with a glare at Tohru. "You need it more than I do" he muttered, running a hand through his hair. He couldn't protect her. He was there...and he couldn't protect her. It was all his fault. "So, you're getting out tomorrow? " He asked, walking over to the window, looking outside.

"Hopefully today." she responded, looking at him worriedly. "hopefully today, because I'm dieing to go do something useful. I feel so useless here!" dropping her voice, she said "the nurse yelled at me yesterday morning because I was trying to help her do my sheets." smiling somewhat unhappily, she asked "what's been going on?"

"Stupid girl...you aren't supposed to work when you're in the hospital" Kyo blinked with a shake of his head. "What's been going on? You mean back home right? Well for one, it's loud and everyone's worried about you. Not as much as me," he mumbled the last part softly and sat on the window sill. "They wouldn't let me come see you, they let everyone else come, but not me. Why?" He growled softly and punched the wall with annoyance.

Getting up, Tohru grabbed his arm. "I don't know, I just assumed that you didn't want to see me." she said, looking into his eyes. smiling, she continued "but now I know that you did want to come, which makes me happy."

"Why would you think I didn't want to see you?" Kyo asked softly and took her hand in his with a soft smile, biting his lip. "Go lay back down, you're supposed to be resting" he murmured, resting his head on hers with a light smile, slipping a hand into his pocket. "Want me to stay until it's time for you to go?"

Smiling, she sat back down, "resting shmesting! There is work to be done!" smiling again, she blushed a little before saying "but I would like you to stay." Finishing her rice ball, she looked around the dismal room. It had little color, the walls, that may have once been pretty, had been bleached by thousands of cleanings. They really needed to get some color in there.

"Great, being a cat isn't all that bad anyways" Kyo blinked his purple - red eyes before pulling her into a hug where he turned into the lovely orange cat he was. "It's more comfy anyways" he blinked with a purr. Jumping out of her lap, he moved his clothes off the bed and lay on the pillow "Now lay down, stupid girl" he blinked playfully, flicking her nose with his tail.

Flopping down obeyingly, she rubbed his head again. A little while later, thinking he was asleep, she whispered "I love you, Kyo."

Kyo blushed, flattening his ears at those words. He loved her too. With all hid heart. But how was he going to show it? Flowers? Dinner? Tohru didn't really seem like the type for that kind of thing. He blinked as he changed back, hopefully she was asleep. Climbing off the bed he quickly changed into his clothes. Leaning over the bed, he placed a small kiss on Tohru's cheek.

A nurse walked in and woke Tohru up. "You can leave now." she informed, and left. With a cry of joy, she leapt out of the hospital bed and nearly hugged Kyo."sorry!" she apologized 22 times in the matter of about 5 seconds.

"Mm" Kyo blinked, holding his hand out to keep Tohru back. "Stop apologizing, let's just go" he mumbled, grabbing Tohru's hand in his, practically dragging her out of the hospital. "What do you want to have for a snack?" He asked, letting go of her hand quickly once they were outside, his hands on his hips as he looked at Tohru. "Well? Spit it out!"

"erm, could I have some clothes first?" she was in her hospital issued gown, and looked rather embarrassed. "and then I'd like what you'd like."

"Uh..." Kyo blushed and snatched her hand once more, charging into a clothing store. "Go grab whatever" he blinked, crossing his arms over her chest as he glanced away, an angry blush on his face. "I said go grab some clothes! It's on me so I don't care what you get!" He shook his head as he looked away, closing his eyes with a sigh.

Yuki's brother returned with a maid's outfit, though not without saying "oh hello, Tohru! So nice to see you! you look absolutely adorable!" shoving the dress over Kyo's head, he asked "Will that work?"

Kyo frowned "Damn you Ayame! Not that!" He growled with annoyance and grabbed the older man's shirt. "Something ELSE" he called and threw the maid's outfit away. "Besides I said Tohru needs to pick an outfit. Not some perverted snake!"
