Timberline looked up at the vulture and hissed.

ooc:condor :)
Feng opened her wings and squawked showing her size.
-
>They're kinda the same...To a cat who has never seen one before, it would look like a vulture.
Wrathbane padded out cautiously, one ear facing the bird. "Timberline..." he muttered. "That's birds all show. No tell."
-
ooc:ok :P
Feng swooped down to attack, with her talons stretch in front of her.
-
"Yeah...uh...so what're you doing out here with a vulture?" Timberline never thought she would have ever asked that question, to anyone, and she'd been pretty sure she'd already asked all the questions that were possible to ask in her eleven years.
-
Wrathbane let out a chuckle. "Well...I was hunting, and then it came."
-
"I see." Timberline blinked her eyes then shook her head. The old warrior returned to the issue before them. "Wrathbane! You need to come back home! Benniejet and your kits are worried sick."
-
"I will," Wrathbane mewed. "I was just returning. There was a huge blizzard that got me lost, and here I am. I promised her I'll come home..."
Home...something he hadn't seen in nearly two moons. The thought of returning made his stomach to flops.
-
Timberline felt the journey lingering in her aging bones. how she had made it through this Leafbare, but even as Newleaf dawned and showed so much promise, the following winter loomed large in her mind. One of them was going to take her. She didn't usually ponder or dread death this way, but lately, it had begun to creep up on her, in her tiredness, and how she just didn't spring back like she once had. How she could no longer focus her eyesight on near objects. It all added up.
"Come back with us, Wrathbane. The others are coming along any minute. We'll take you home."
-
Brassclaw padded in a few moments after his mate, as he had been stopping to check out the surroundings a little. His amber eyes widened as he spotted the black and white tom, but even more as he noticed the condor. "Wrathbane! Are you okay? We've been worried about you," the maine coon admitted with a smile of relief.
-
"I will," Wrathbane purred, his lips crinkling into a smile. The black and white tom turned to the vulture, and yowled, "Go away." He wanted to be back home with his kits.
-
Hunterheart entered not remembering Wrathbane, he was still only newly appointed as warrior. Hunterheart sat away from the rejoicing cats and watched with interested eyes.
-
"Come on, Benniejet and the kits are waiting, you won't believe how big they got," said Timberline who turned to go back the way they'd come.
-
The bird did nothing, this cat was annoying.
-
Wrathbane blinked his two colored eyes at the new cat, unsure of who he was. Then, he turned back to Timberline. "Yes...how big are they really?" he asked. He wanted to know on the status of his family. Hopefully...
-
Brassclaw grinned, but let Timberline answer the question. He glanced still curiously at the bird, but raised his eyebrows and shrugged his shoulders.
-
"About four or five moons old now," said Timberline as a grin started to spread. "I can see you in every one of them."
-
"Well, come on now! Before they become oldies like us!" Brassclaw chuckled teasingly. "Wait - what about Shiningpaw's mother?" he frowned.
-
Shiningpaw had followed the others and stayed a little off to the side until Brassclaw mentioned her mom. The silver apprentice stepped forward, and turned to face the odd eyed warrior. "Um, Wrathbane? Have you seen a brown tabby with blue eyes since the war?" She asked, hoping that he'd say something like, 'oh, she's back there' or something along those lines.
-
Hunterheart pricked his ears at the mention of of a brown tabby,
