    Autumnrain

female - warrior - Tribe of the Harvest Moon

[align=left]Autumnrain was walking along the border of the Tribe’s territory. This was a daily activity for the golden-coloured cat. Typically, her daily walk was peaceful. She found it almost therapeutic. She tried to stay focused on her task, sniffing around for any new scents or smells. Sometimes, there were foreign cats who wanted to join the Tribe. Other times, the strangers did not come in peace. Today, however, Autumn didn’t smell any scents along the Tribe borders, except those of other Harvesters.

When Autumn had nearly completed a full rotation around the territory borders, she sighed. She supposed that she should start walking back to main camp, but she felt like staying out in the forest for a little longer. She was about to sit down and enjoy a moment’s rest when she caught the scent of one of the new cats – Alex, if she remembered the name right. Autumnrain had met the new cat briefly, but she hadn’t had the chance to get to know her yet. Curious, Autumn began to track the scent and head towards where she might find Alex, hoping to start a conversation.

Planting. Farming. This was so peaceful, and it really helped put Alex at ease. Joining was probably the best thing this femme had done. Everyone was so approachable and she could literally read their vibes. Alex was early glowing with joy. Life was beautiful. Life was everything she hadn't expected it to be.

Caught in the moment. Everything around her was in a blur. The viridescent visionaries which rested upon her angelic features was focused within the sepia earth, burrowing into the tiny seed. needs water. pulling her eyes from the fetus plant round object, Alex accidently bumped into Autumn. crap! Not now, God damn it. oh I'm so sorry. I was just going to bring some water back to these little guys. Alex spoke softly and calmly, arching her head back, motioning towards the newly-planted seeds.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

[align=left]Autumn couldn’t resist letting out a low laugh. “Oh, it’s okay. It’s Alex, isn’t it? I’ll walk with you to the lake if you’d like to get some water.” Autumn stretched her back and smiled at the other cat. “How are you finding the Tribe? You’re certainly seeming to fit right in. I think that you’ll be a far better farmer than I ever was. I could never be bothered remembering to water the seeds!”

There was a sparkle in her eyes as she spoke, yeah, I'm Alex. Also, I'm sure you're a fine farmer. taking a moment to breathe in the atmosphere. it's quite lovely here, if I must say so myself. It's like I'm finally living in a dream. despite answering her first questions, the ebony creature nodded softly in agreement of collecting some water for the mismatched seeds. also, yes, it would be nice to head to the lake for the water. of course Alex would love to ask some questions right now, but felt that time would come while sauntering towards the crystalline pool of liquid. Conversation would always follow with Alex. It was a fate no-one could escape.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

[align=left]Autumn started walking towards the lake. "It is quite peaceful here, isn't it?" she mused, taking in the beautiful scenery which surrounded them. After a moment's silence, she glanced over her shoulder at Alex. "Hey, what did you do, before you joined the Tribe?" Realizing that Alex might not want to discuss this, Autumn added, "If you don't mind me asking."

I love when people ask me questions. I didn't do much, just wander around and get lost like I did. I've taught myself the basic medic skills, and I've learned to hunt and farm. Scavenging for leftovers wasn't my favorite task growing up... but things happen. We all learn to cope and get through life. with a slight shrug of her shoulder, the act never once caught her off-balance in strides. She was graceful in every way. Despite just lolling out a chunk of her childhood, Alex kept her eyes open for the lake.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

[align=left]Autumn nodded as she heard Alex's back story. "It must be useful to know a bit about herbs and medicine." The two cats were close to the lake now, so Autumn asked, "How are you planning on getting this water back to field?"

Alex had collected yucca while traveling, which could easily be weaved into a basket that could carry water. It would need to be a coiled basket, though. weaving a basket. carefully, the female braided the plant neatly and tightly, which would hopefully be good enough to withstand leakage. It was a small basket, but it carried far more water than needed. It didn't take long to make, either, since Alex had months and months of practice. It was near perfection. [align=left]Autumnrain watched Alex as she wove the small basket. "Wow," said Autumn, clearly impressed. Tilting her head, she said, "Hey, maybe sometime you could teach me how you make something like that? It's a pretty neat skill. Where'd you pick it up?"
