Putting one on, they walked back to the car. "how will I pay you back?"

"Why would you pay me back?" Adriana asked, "it's my parents that need to be convinced." She snickered.

"convinced of what?"

"That you need a place to stay and won't be in the way." She said, "it's how I live there."

Bella cooked her head and smiled. Shifting into a cat, she looked up at her with an innocent "mew?"

Adriana stopped the car with a screech and whipped around to look at her.

Shrinking back, Bella braced herself to be smacked.

Adriana blinked and just stared. She had nothing to really say at the time.

"this is why they tortured me" Bella whispered.

"Just don't do that around my parents... And don't turn into anything bigger than a St. Bernard because then somebody will call animal control." Adriana said. She then muttered something about an ice pack.

"I can only do a cat so far." she blushed.

Adriana was quiet and continued driving, "mind changing back? It's odd if I have a well-behaved cat in my back seat." She snickered.

Shifting back, she sat in her seat and looked out the window. "tell me when we get to your house so I can shift back."

"Your going to stay human when you meet my parents." Adriana said, "just because my mom's allergic to cats."

Bella wrinkled her nose but said nothing.

Adriana parked her van next to a fairly large and wonderfully decorated house, "home sweet basement." Adriana said and got out of the car.

Hopping out, Bella skirted the car and hid behind Adrianna, grabbing her hand.

"Just let me do the talking and DON'T use my last name. My parents will kill me." Adriana said meaning 'Frills'... She hated her family name.
