Who in the Hades falls over a bench for crying out loud? I was blushing deeply, and snatched at Hunter's hand, allowing him to help me up. "Thanks," I muttered, rubbing my arms. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a big black shape loping over, a small pink tongue lolling through huge, slobbery lips. Oh, great. Here comes Mrs. O'Leary. "Mrs. O'Leary don't even-!" I was cut off when the big black hellhound pounced into me... again. She seemed to smile down at me, amusement sown into her expression. Woof! she barked happily, as if she had just caught me. I grunted and shoved the black dog off, struggling up once again. I dried my hands on my worn khaki shorts and sighed, looking at the big, happy black dog. Then I remembered Hunter. I turned back to him and was about to reply with a snarky comment (since I heard him insult me even from my flailing, awesome-falling-awkward-Tara dance move) when my eyes landed on the letter lying on the bench. My sassy facial expression left, replaced with one of quiet, gentle curiosity. "What's that?" I couldn't help but ask, curiosity causing me to peer in closer.
