Beijingpaw wasn't really sure what anyone was thinking when they'd thought Beijing was a good prefix. It seemed too strange to him now, in all honesty. The apprentice knew it was time for a change. He'd researched the city, and its history. Nice place, it seemed. He'd even begun to study Chinese with some Twoleg books he'd stolen. Ah, the perks of being able to read were endless. And the perks of not being fully grown and being able to be stealthy.
Beijingpaw padded into the middle of WindClan camp, raising his head and blinking. His icy blue eyes scanned the surrounding people. Nervousness set in. He had to do this now, before he chickened out and ran off.
The apprentice piped up and yelled loud enough for everyone to hear."I think I'll be changing my name to Beijing now. Dropping the 'paw', it seems." He'd thought Beijing was better as a name on its own. He was right. Beijing was right. The snow leopard stood up straight now, waiting for a response, if any.
