The valley of Faranthyr hides deep in Alaska, with abandoned, tall buildings lining the cliffs. The weather is cold, but not cold enough to drive the prey away. On the snowy, foggy days, these buildings were built. On those bittersweet days, with nothing to look forward to but the fog just clearing enough to see the sun, this small town was built. Rumoured to be of Eskimo origin, the town was built in a short amount of time and left to rot after a heavy snowfall built into the ground. As they abandoned the village, they forgot their treasures, and they forgot the hope that lay in the mountains. They never came back to claim the village blanketed in snow, only to melt in the spring.
When spring came, not a single person who trekked back found the village. It seemed that the snow ate the village; in fact, other residents had moved into the chilly buildings. Not exactly human visitors entered, however. With the falling snow came refugee's, not knowing that the small village below them would become the great village that it was going to become. But, it's not that simple.
Those animals in the worn down building are the ones that you will be playing as, working towards the mighty and hearty mountain village that it will become. And as you lay underneath the safety of the building, you are oblivious. However, it won't be that hard. You will have others help you on this journey. [/fancypost]

the land of the valley ranges from the bright, lush mountains, to the dark, dripping of the caves in the mountains and beneath the surface. These mountains are roamed by all, and when the snows came, animals of all sorts fled into the walls of the village and the mountains. In these wooden buildings, hold great promise, as well as the winding cave systems.
Below you, these cave systems remain unexplored.
Around you, the buildings remain unexplored.
    Get exploring, people!

though the sky is relentless in its snowfall, above the clouds is where the real beauty of the valley resides. True peace, with no sound but the wind slipping through the tops of the mountains below you. Though you reside above the clouds, the tops of the mountains are still flat and lush with evergreens. With the shear cliff sides and the flat tops of the plateaus that border the valleys, there are more and more opportunities to expand this Eskimo village. You can get up there with a simple flight, or, maybe some daring climbing.
As of now, no air travel has been made out of the main village.
None of the top plateaus have been explored.

the sea has not been found by the faranthyr. Travel north for three nights and four days, and you will surely reach the wide, open, cold sea.

    Get exploring!![/fancypost]

with only three religions you can choose from, one of them is commonly associated with reincarnation. Elyty, this religion, is the worship of only one god, who had made the sky, the land, and the sea of faranthyr. Their god is named their Iosal, and he is believed to only circle around souls from one body to the next. while he does this, the world is naturally occuring around the followers. While rain may fall for days, and thunder may strike the looming mountains, they would not worship any more. They would only worship to make sure their soul is passed on cleanly, and not trapped in their body for all eternity.

Ones who follow this religion only go to worship when the moon can be seen over the looming rocks, which is once every few weeks. When these people go to worship, they dress as nicely as they can, and wear the amulet of Iosal around their necks. [ All members who commit to this religion will have one, and if you don't, you will just get one at the ceremony. ] They then sit for the night in quiet prayer, meditating. They would only imagine their lives and exploit the honourous and not-so-honourous things that they have done to their people and themselves. And if they had any wishes, they would present them to their God in hopes that they came true. Ones who are spiritually bonded with Iosal would have images presented to them of their past lives, to correct mistakes and to show the follower guidence in times of trouble.

Elytyians worship the moon, because in their eyes, every time the moon slips below the rock, it falls asleep, and when the sun rises, it dies. When the moon is hidden, it is asleep, dreaming of the life it will have. And when it peaks over the cold edge of the mountain, they see it as the moon being born. But not only this; when the moon is behind the everlasting mountains, the valley is dark during the night, instead of illuminated by the pale glow of the moon. When the moon is 'birthed' from the rock, they believe Iosal has given them another, pale lighted day, in the midst of darkness, showing them that there is still light where things seem, not dead, but only sleeping.

another type of religion that is supported by the faranthyr is a polytheistic belief named Alezitism. In this religion, there are five different gods - Aeris, Goddess of Ice & Snow, Paohr, God of Wind, Ebruer, God of Stone, Qedona, Goddess of Dawn & Midnight, and Esnos, God of Creation.
