As you walk into the main office Starlight Academy for Gifted Students, you are greeted by a man wearing a name tag that reads 'Mr. Madeik'.
"Hello," he greets you. "I am the principle here at Starlight Academy. Welcome to our school. If you would please enter the auditorium, we are about to hold our orientation. There, you will recieve your class schedule, dorm assignments, and anything else you might need to know. If you encounter any problems, I, as well as the rest of the staff here at Starlight, will be happy to assist you."

You enter the auditorium, and your journey at Starlight begins...

• Felix sat towards the back alone. He had a notebook in his lap and was writing words along the page in his nice but not neat handwriting. His blue eyes read down the page through his scribbled words.
He hoped they would get started soon.

Raven came to sit in the middle her now neat blond hair went down past her shoulders.
Her light blue eyes watched her surroundings. She wore light gray top and skirt along with black heals.
Her lips were luscious and pink.

• Trying her best to balance the Paramore bag she had carelessly slung over her arm, the sketchpad in her right hand and notebook in her left, and the half-empty double chocolate chip frapp from Starbucks, Rayne moved quietly into the room, trying to attract as little attention as possible. Luckily, not many people had arrived yet, so many of the seats near the back were still open, although one boy was already sitting there. Rayne tried to settle into a seat five or so away from the boy, but caught her hip on one of the chairs, and went down, her frappucino flying everywhere.
Groaning slightly, Rayne attempted to pull some napkins out of her bag to clean up with, which resulted in her dropping her notebook and sketchpad as well. Tears threatened to spill over, and Rayne forced herself to bite back the cry that was so near to escaping her lips. She got down on her hands and knees, trying to gather everything together while wiping at the wet spot on the floor and her shirt.

This place was huge! Onyx was amazed at how big it was. At the orphanage he had been staying in after being found in a cardboard box with absolutely no memory of his past, he had attented a small, private catholic school. But this...this was like nothing he had ever seen before! Or not that he could remember, anyways.
"Huh, looks like maybe my Talent could come in handy after all. This place isn't near as bad as that dump they made me stay in. In fact, this looks pretty at darn good!" Onyx spoke to himself as he walked, a habit he had developed over the weeks, and eventually months of solitude spent at the orphanage.
He was glad he was finally out - he would still be there, if it wasn't for the "Talent Scout" or whatever the heck he had called himself who had visited the orphanage. Apparently, that man was gifted with the Talent of feeling other people's Talents. So when he had gotten close to Onyx, he had known immediately that the boy was different, special. A Talent. And so the man had explained everything to Onyx, why the shadows came to him when he called, and had invited him to come stay at this school.
And now, Onyx was walking into the auditoreum, so captivated by its size and grandeur that he didn't notice the girl struggling to clean up the mess she had just made.

Ooc: Haha, I totally went overboard with their appearances/outfits and stuff...I took like, twenty minutes outta my day to find the perfect bags/outfits for them xD I have no life D: haha

• Ooc: Haha :P

Ic: Raven turned to look at the new guy who had joined them.
"And what would your talent be?"She asked with interest as she over heard his conversation with himself. He blue eyes sparkled with excitement.
She couldn't wait to show off in every way possible. Raven had grown up in an all girl school and she was the tom girl. None of the other girls messed with her, she was a skilled fighter too.

Felix's blue eyes turned to watch the girl struggle a few feet away.
He waited for the young man beside her to help her out. After a moment seeing the young man had no manners Felix got to his feet and walked over to her mess, he began stacking the items up into a pile and then pulled them into his arms.
"Perhaps next time it would be best to make two trips."He said slight amusement at all the items in his hands.

• For a moment, Onyx wasn't quite sure the girl was talking to him. Of course, she was looking directly at him, and there were only two other people in the auditorium. But still, he was used to being ignored because of his...well, differences.
As soon as he realized that she was indeed talking to him, Onyx bounced up and down happily. "Hi!" he said. "I'm a Shadow Raider. That means that I control shadows and stuff." He called forward the shadows in the auditorium, causing them to swirl lazily around him. "See? What's your power? Oh, I'm Onyx by the way. You can call my Nyx."
He took the girls hand, shaking it rather excitedly.

Someone was beside her, but Rayne was didn't notice at first that he was helping her. When he spoke, she looked up, meeting his eyes, and immediately blushed.
"Oh, yes, I, well that is..." she let the sentence trail off, looking down at her shoes.
"Thanks for helping." When she spoke again, her voice was soft, almost inaudable. She put out her hands to take the books from his arms.

• Raven smiled lightly at the boys excitement. She watched the near by shadows dance at his command with a certain awe in her eyes.
"I'm a shape shifter."She said with a smirk.
He legs shrunk slightly as he skin tanned and her hair lightened and pink streaks appeared.

After a moment she changed back to the form she had started in.
"You can call me Raven."She said with a smile.

Felix handed her back the books and then gave a polite nod.
"My pleasure."He said, and with that he turned going back to his seat.
Felix brought his pen back to his paper and scribbled down a few more words.
His eyes wondered the room for a moment as if in search for something, after a while he found it and then wrote it on the paper.

• "That's so cool!" Onyx said, clapping his hands like a child instead of the sixteen-year-old that he was. "It's nice to meet you Raven. How old are you? How long have you been a Talent? How did you find this place?"
The questions just seemed to spew from his mouth as if of their own accord. Even if he had been trying, it was probably unlikely that he would have been able to keep them from spilling past his lips.

Rayne suddenly realized that she hadn't given the boy her name. He had helped her out, he at least deserved her name. Rayne was just so used to never giving out her name to anyone; it made her harder to track down if no one knew who she was.
But this was a safe place, or so she had been told. Surely she needn't worry about being tracked by Seekers here, right? Either way, it was too late. The boy was already sitting back down in his seat, and Rayne was too shy to attempt starting up a conversation once he had already left.
Instead, she opened her sketchpad, and began drawing.

• Scarlett strode confidently in, her heels clicking on the hard floor. She let her green eyes sweep the room as she looked for a place to sit. There were a few students at the back, so she went over to join them. She was wearing a low-cut, cropped back top and a short, pleated skirt. Her black, knee length, boots had heels that gave her an extra two inches. She shook her curly red hair out of her eyes, as she stopped next to the kids. "I'm Scarlett," Her cherry-red lips formed a casual smile. "You?" She asked speaking to the whole group.

• Hearing the new girl, Onyx turned away from Raven slightly, in order to smile and wave at Scarlett.
"Hiyas!" He cried in a loud voice that echoed around the auditorium. Not noticing how loud he was being, he continued, "How old are you? What's your power? I'm Onyx! Call me Nyx though."

Rayne heard the new girl, but she kept her head down, focusing on her drawing. Something about this girl intimidated her...maybe it was the fact that she was everything Rayne wasn't. Confident, stylish, and having an aura of strength about her.
Yeah, Rayne was nothing like that. She used to be, but ever since her dad...
Rayne kept her eyes glued to her sketchpad, beginning to shade it slightly.

• Raven chuckled at the rush of questions.
"I'm 17."She said unable to answer the rest before the new girl came in.
"Raven."She said to the new girl with a slightly friendly smile.

Felix turned to study the girl but said nothing.
He didn't move out of his way to make friends, if someone wanted to speak with him they would.
Felix didn't mind company but didn't need it either. He could live just fine alone or with company,
He turned back to his notebook jotting down a few more things.

• Vanessa walked in the classroom, a large smile on her face and a gentle spark in her brown eyes. "Hello," she said sweetly, her voice kind. She tugged at her white sundress self conciously, and held her echo-friendly binder close to her chest. She had put lillies in her hair, and had glossed her lips so they would glow in the light. "I'm Vanessa, but please call me Essa." She walked to the back of the room and took a seat next to boy with blue eyes. "Watcha writing?" she whispered curiously leaning over to see.

• Onyx glanced over at Raven when she said his age, and put on a face of mock disappointment. "Aww, you're older than me." He stuck his lower lip out in a pout. "I'm only 16."
Then he looked back as yet another girl entered. Were there only girls here? He smiled and waved yet again.
"Hi, Essa. I'm Onyx, call me Nyx."

Rayne felt a bit better about the new girl that had entered. Slowly, cautiously, she moved until she was in the seat on the other side of the boy who had helped her pick up her stuff.
"Hi...I'm Rayne." She was talking mostly to Vanessa, but she looked over at the boy, too, so that he would know she was letting him know her name as well.
Just then, clumsy as always, she dropped her sketchphad once again, pictures flying everywhere, including the one she was working on. "Ugh...not again."
She got to her knees, gathering them, blushing furiously.

• Maylienna walked into the class room, her legs closed tight together her books pressed against her, and the widest, silliest smile on her face. She glided to her seat and sat down, and began to hum as she wrote a song.

• Ooc: IHunBun, they haven't started class yet. They're about to start the orientation once everyone joins. Also, there's an issue with your character in the sign-up thing that needs to be fixed, if you can spare the time :)

Ic: Mr. Madeik stayed outside, ushering kids into the room.

• Raven smiled slightly at his pouting face.
"I'm sure I could pull off sixteen if I wanted to."She said with a wink.
She turned to look at the other new girl wondering what she was like. Raven then noticed the boy sitting towards the back with the other two girls. She wondered why he hadn't introduced himself like everyone ells. Raven turned back to Onyx after a moment.

Felix turned his blue eyes to her for a moment and then turned back to his work.
"Its just some scraps of a novel."He said to answer her question.
Felix didn't like sharing his work in detail since it was very personal.
When she leaned over his shoulder he instinctively shifted so that the words were once more hidden from her view.
"I'm Felix by the way."He said holding out his hand for her to shake.
Felix hoped this would change the subject, he went ahead and closed his notebook stuffing it in the side of his book bag.
He watched as the other girl joined them, and then threw all her sketches on the ground.
Felix bent over and began collecting them.
He then noticed the one she had been working on.
"Your very good."Felix said shuffling through her work for a moment and then realized what he was doing.
"Oh sorry, that was rude of me. I shouldn't have imposed."He said holding them out to her.

• OOC: Woops sorry! Ill fix it.

Ic: May walked into the oreintation with everyone else and stood next to the girl known as Rayne.
She looked around admiring the school.

• Ooc: No problem :)

Ic: A blush crept up Rayne's cheeks as Felix said that she was good, but a smile captured her lips, making her face look much more softer and approachable than it had before.
"T-thanks." she said in an almost inaudable voice. She waved off his apology. "No, you weren't imposing. You were just trying to help. Besides, I don't mind sharing my artwork. What's the point of creating something beautiful if you're not going to share it with others?" Then, realizing that she sounded conceited, she blushed even more. "I mean, not saying that my artwork in particular is beautiful, I just meant..." she let the sentence trail off and sighed.
She could be a total loser sometimes.
Noticing the girl standing next to her, she looked up, and then quickly down, avoiding eye contact. She took her seat once again, her papers now in her bag. She wasn't going to risk another mess.

Onyx laughed at Raven's comment. "Yes, I'm sure you could." He said.
Grinning ear from ear, he stood on his tiptoes and made a stern face. "Do I look older? Think I could be shapeshifter?"

• "Essa," said Vanessa as she gazed at the boy. She blushed looking down. " I'm sorry for being rude. I shouldn't have forced myself on you like that." She smiled. " My mom was working on a novel before the fire...I always wondered what it would be like to write one." Her blush deepend. " Of course I'm horrible at writing...I'm blubbering I'm sorry." she looked up at Felix, hoping he wouldn't think she was to big of an idot.
Essa looked over the words the other girl, Rayne, had written. A pang of jealousy touched her. She wished she could write like that.

• Raven chuckled as she looked at him.
"In your dreams maybe."She teased and then rolled her eyes.
Se was beginning to like this guy, he was easy to be around.

Felix listened to her words thinking them over for a moment.
"Yes, I suppose that would be a good way of looking at it."He said with a slight smile.
He didn't much like showing his work but that was just a personal thing.
"I know what you meant."Felix said with a kind smile at her loss for words.
He then turned to Essa when she spoke.
"Don't worry about it."He said with a small kind smile.
"Writing a novel is time consuming."Felix said and then turned to look around the room at the people he would be living with.

• Essa blushed. She had never been so embarassed. Well, never was an exageration but she was embarassed. Playing with the lillies in her hair, she opened her bind and placed her hand on a bag of seeds. Bright orange roses began to grow, and she smiled as there sent reached her nose.
Goodmorning, Essa! they said.

A boy with dark brown hair and light green eyes raced into the auditorium in a blur, a cocky grin on his poreless face. He was lean, tanned and muscular with a wild aura about him.
"Yo!" he breathed sitting in a desk at the front. " Sorry I'm late." He looked around and spotted a girl with a paramore backpack and grinned. He could like school...
