The wolf cub wailed, crouching low to the ground. The winds whipped at her, sending freezing snow to cover her. She crawled as quickly as she could, looking around for her mother. She let out a weak howl before the winds bowled her over. She rolled back over, the wind blowing more snow over her. She shook her head, letting out a sneeze before she curled up. The pup knew she couldn't make it; she was starving, her mother was nowhere to be found, and there was a blizzard.

((by the way my avatar is my character)) Akira snapped her midnight black head in her small cave when she heared the faint voice. "Hmm......maybe the blizzard is playing with my ears...." She was about to lay her head back down when she heard it again. At that moment she jumped to her paws and ran out. "Hello......is there anyone out there?"

The cub perked her ears up once she heard someone, hesitating before she lifted her head and let out a weak howl. She stood back up, now just waiting for the other wolf to find her.

The slight sound hit her sensitive ears as she tracked the sound until she came across a small pup. "You poor thing, you'll freeze out here." She very gently picked the pup up in her steady jaws.

The cub tensed up, sniffing at the other wolf as her ears flattened. This was not her mother. She let out a quiet whine, trying to squirm away as she let out a string of tiny yips and yelps, tucking her tail between her legs.

"Shhh it's okay," she cooed, "I'm not going to hurt you...."

The cub ceased her noises, thought she was still tense and shivering. She whimpered quietly, tucking her legs close to her belly in an effort to try and keep herself warm.

She quickly moved back to her cave which blocked the wind and snow so it was significantly warmer.

The cub let out a quiet sigh, relaxing as she felt the heat of the cave. She also felt tired..but what if this new wolf ate her while she slept? She let out a whine, forcing herself to open her eyes and look up at this new wolf.

She smiled as she layed beside the pup and wrapping her tail around it. "Whats your name?"

..'m Scout." The cub mumbled, now keeping her eyes on the ground.

She ran her tongue between his ears trying to comfort him "where is your family?"

"I-I dunno. I tried looking, but.." Scout trailed off a frown on her face now.

"It will be okay, once the blizzard ends we can search for them."

Scout gave a nod, closing her eyes and lying her head down.

She lets out a soft rumble as she layed her head down as well while keeping her tail tucked around the pup to keep him warm.

Scout woke up the next morning, letting out a yawn before she stood up and trotted to the mouth of the cave. She let out a howl, her ears drooping once she didn't hear a responding howl "Oh." She mumbled.

Akira yawned when she heard the pup howl. "Anything?"
