Welcome to the land of Lykaios. Please read everything with this *.
Packs-
Hunter's Moon Pack-|The Noble, Swift & Sneaky|~
Nestled in the forest, and at the northeastern corner of the world, is the Hunter's Moon Pack. They are noble wolves, the most respected pack. Mostly made of loners an rogues, they are also very swift and able to move around undetected.
Their territory ranges from the Tigris River, and between the Lore River and The Black Sea. They also have the closest part of the Coldor Lake.
Sawtooth Pack-|The Bold, Resolute & Relentless|~
Burrowed deep in the hills of Lykaios is the Sawtooth Pack. They're not afraid, and the most brave of the three packs. At the gatherings, they are not afraid to speak above all.
Their territory is marked by three rivers. The Tigris River, Lore River and Eerie River, and part of the Coldor Lake. They have the second largest territory.
SilverMoon Pack-|The Forgiving, Subtle & Clever|~
Settled in the middle of a ring of mountains is the SilverMoon Pack. They're the nicest, dare I say, fairest, of the three packs. Made up of very few wolves, they except almost any wolf.
Their territory is the smallest of them all. Their is the land surrounded by the circle if mountains.
Ranks(Descriptions)-
Alpha/Alphess(Alpha= Male, Alphess=Female)-
Alphas are the leaders of the pack, the choice few who rule over every other rank with but one intention: to ensure their family's prosperity and safety. They wield the most strength, are the wisest where it is needed most, and most importantly, carry the heaviest and yet most fulfilling burden upon their shoulders. For this, they require respect from each of their pack members, though the reprimands for this discourtesy vary depending on the wolf or wolfess in charge. An Alpha may greet with a smile or rule with a iron paw, but no matter how cruel the order, a subordinate, must abide by their laws. Their duties range from accepting loners at the border, overseeing the training of Apprentices, starting necessary battles and deciding upon future territorial expansions. They have the ability to promote and demote, to welcome and exile, and have the absolute word above all else.
Betas-
Betas are the right paw to the Alphas and, though they do not carry as much power, they are to be addressed with as much respect as their leaders. They are the first to take an Alpha's position if they are absent, for they know their pack's rules and morals- forwards and backwards -by heart. Their responsibilities are relatively versatile, as even a Beta may assign punishment, but they may not go as far as to banish or demote a wolf without permission as well as an impeccable reason to do so.
Elect-
Elects are, more or less, the left paws to the Alphas, though they have much more limited range of duties than both the Beta and Alpha. They are chosen from the most excelling amongst the Gammas, for this rank required only one with both brawny strength and remarkable intelligence. They assist both Betas and the Alpha with training inspired Apprentices and are almost always found by the regal pair's sides. On occasion, Elects are seen as the Gammas' representative in important discussions, although this is not always the case. It is, most importantly, the Elect's responsibility to accompany all pack hunts an provide protection from other creatures.
Ignatium-
In short, Ignatium is a keeper of fire for their respective pack. The hierarchy of an Ignatium is trickier than the other ranks by far. There are a total of three official Ignatiums, with one chosen as the lead Ignatium amongst them. There's a second in command, to say, that'll take the role of the lead Ignatium, and Apprentices trained will take the role as one if the other two(whatever one was the Apprentice's mentor). Their intensive training teaches how to control fire and make use of it's heat and power. One aspect of their training is how to use scraps of metal to suit basic needs(Ex: body armor). The most vital of those uses is a suit of armor designed to allow them to deal with embers and burning logs without injuring themselves in order to provide fire for their pack. This is a rare and noble rank to earn.
Sanatore/Sanatora(Sanatore=Male, Sanatora=Female)-
Sanatores are healers, possessing a very rare and unique talent to mend all that may ail. They provide an important attribute to the wolves their Alohas watch over and are, arguably, incredibly influential to the survival of their entire pack, therefore have the right to the same level of respect as an Elect. Not only must they keep track of their herb stockage and provide life-saving remedies to thee fellow pack members, but must keep Death off their doorstep by having the ability to protect any injured wolf that may have taken shelter within their den for treatment. Sanatores are spiritual in nature, but only few are in direct contact with the Other Forest, the otherworldly realm where deceased wolf spirits and ancestors reside. Those who are connected report their dreams and findings, believed to be sent from said ancestors, to provide guidance to the Alpha.
Guardian-
Guardians are the guards to the pack, those with both incredible speed and sharp tongue. They run the length of their territory's border with simply one mission in mind: to accept those worthy, and chase those who are not. Guardians make the decision based on their pack's values and laws, something they are required to know by heart. Though they are not necessarily a high rank, their unusually slipper wit and clever antics are more useful than not and are certainly noticed, for anything and everything they uncover on their rounds must be reported to the Aloha him/herself. Guardians, like Elects, are chosen from Gammas, but do not have nearly as much power as one. They and Gammas are equal, as both are purely for protection.
Gamma-
Gammas make up the bulk force of the pack, and though the are the 'base' rank, their presence is most certainly imperative to the forest. They are the errand-runners, warriors, and the most protectors, for there is always strength in numbers. Most newcomers will start off as Gammas, and there many will stay, as it is not an easy task to climb quickly up the ranks.
Caregivers-
Caregivers are the babysitters of the packs, providing both nurture and shelter to newborns and pregnant mothers. Though they are considered a lower rank, they are just as important as the rest, as they must have the ability to protect both pups and mothers while they are in their care. If a mother ever passes away within a pack, a Caregiver is also required to take care of her pup(s) until they are old enough for apprenticeship.
Apprentice-
Apprentices are in no way unworthy, but are either too young to take on duties of a higher ranking position or are simply to inexperienced for much else. They are to be trained by the chosen mentor until they have reached the adult age(which is 2 1/2 years) or can show the experience necessary for a higher rank.
Omegas-
Omegas are the lowest rank possible in the pack and are that way for a reason, for their actions and their actions alone are the reason for such a demotion. Wolves who are either far too submissive to take on any other rank or have commuted an unspeakable crime seemed unacceptable by an Alpha are to be Omegas and yet despite this, they are not entirely useless. Yes, they are the last to eat, but when tension arises within their family their responsibility is to break it by launching play, and despite some cuts and bruises, it's a great way to relieve stress.
Loners-
Loners have little to no privileges and are owed absolutely no respect from pack members until their skills are deemed worthy of pack life by, firstly, a Guardian, and secondly, the Alpha/Alphess. If caught trespassing on marked territory, death is the punishment.
Exiles-
Exiles are those who have commuted crimes so horrid and disturbing that they have been banned from the pack lands. These unfortunate and twisted wolves are sure to stay away from a pack's border, for it's punishable by death. They tend to reside where a forever shadow looms, living- though hardly surviving- without hierarchy nor order.
Rogues-
Rogues are wolves whom were either stupid or unlucky enough to get within reach of an unknown illness, or to get to being a pack member. They can be can be troubled with mental disorders or instability and so seen dangerous to the public. They roam lands mindlessly- some gone rabid, some contacted an unknown illness- as if zombies had risen from the dead. They mingle with Exiles in their barren lands, and share the same penalty for crossing boundaries, but have been known for venturing to close to pack territories for comfort.
Roleplay Rules-
1. Use real words while roleplaying, please.
2.Your wolf may have jewelry and/or weird markings, just keep them as realistic as possible.
3. No spamming
4. Keep cussing to a minimum
5.Keep scenes rated pg, or take it to the PMs
6. Keep rp as realistic as possible.
7. Respect all members, and be kind(unless your wolf is supposed to be mean).
8. Keep all posts to a minimum of 5 sentences. I encourage all of you rpers to write. And since you've gotten this far, mention Lycan in your form.
*You will be banned if you break any rule more than once*
Wolf Laws-
1. All members must be respectful to the others no matter their ranking.
2. Wolves of a higher rank may not use that to boss others around.
3. No wolf will attack another pup just because it's smaller.
4. Obey all orders given to you from your Alpha/Alphess, unless the task is unreasonable, or puts another wolf in danger.
5. Prey is killed only to be eaten, not for sport. Give thanks to Lycan for it's life.
6. Nobody may ignore a wolf pup in pain or danger, even if it's from another pack.
7. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily, challenge all trespassers.
8. Every full moon all the packs will come to a truce, no fighting is allowed during this time. Also, a gathering shall be held during this time.
Making Your Wolf Character-
You may play any wolf sub-species, even if it's extinct. Examples are the Northern Rocky Mountain Wolf, Mackenzie Valley Wolf, Great Plains(Buffalo) Wolf and the Eastern Timber Wolf. Also, please create your wolf appropriately to the environment it did and/or lives in. If you give size proportions(see below for some examples), please make sure it is true to your wolf sub-species.
Northern Rocky Mnt Wolf~
Size: 70-135pounds (large)
Colors: Tan, grey, white, black
Rarity: Extremely Common
Eastern Timber Wolf~
Size: 50-90pounds (small)
Colors: Tan, rust, beige, grey
Rarity: Rare
Mackenzie Valley Wolf~
Size: 100-170pounds (very large)
Colors: Black, grey, light grey, tan
Rarity: Common
Great Plains(Buffalo) Wolf~
Size: 60-110pounds (medium)

Rarity: Uncommon
Coyotes & Hybrids-
You may rp as a coyote or hybrid character(Ex: part wolf and part dog), just keep in mind that your character will most likely not get accepted into a pack, and he/she would pass off as a loner or rogue. But, your hybrid character has to be at least 50% wolf or coyote. Also, other characters may not go kindly to a hybrid or coyote.
Appearance Guidelines-
Your character should show their main pelt color the same as it's species, but it can have any markings and jewelry as it wants. Please refer to the eye and pelt color charts for help, and your character's eyes and pelt colors can be more than one color.

Creation Tips-
Have a concept for your character to inspire you. Is this a character who rebelled for over controlling parents? We're they raised in a peaceful home but wanted to explore and find their own path?
