    Fort Collins is next to the mountains. The cats are on the NorthEast side of the city. They are in the Running Deer Natural Area. This map says Denver is 30 miles away because they are taking the south part in. From the North it's a lot more.

    The plant: desert sage. The stuff grows in abundance in deserts, like Wyoming. It does not grow where humans and lots of rain are, though.It can be found on mountains. There are other plants that I can't think of at the moment if you don't like that. Here's a picture:

    *screams and runs out of the door, running into the wall* Willowsong will.. again cause Lightpaw might get lonely.

    .......... I like the plot ideas that are flying. Do you guys think Skyrunner's idea is good?
    This idea:
    "Well, for some reason (you can choose the reason, a deadly sickness that can only be cured by a flower that grows in the mountains, or whatever) a small group of cats have to go into the mountains (Pikes Peak) and so they have to go through like the surrending city. (Near what city is Streamclan? Denver or what? ) So they go through the surrounding city, across the plains, into Colorado Springs, and into the mountains.
    So yah, dangerous stuff happens, some hawks almost eat them, some prophecy made some cat die, stuff like that perhaps? "
    I replied later with details on where the cats live and sage brush could be a medicinal herb. Maybe not specifically for sickness, but we can stretch the truth. :D
