ooc. but the longer i don't study the longer I can imagine I don't have my spanish competition tomorrow! although... good thing about tomorrow: I get good breakfast, AND for wednesday my college professor (for spanish) said that she doesn't expect us (me and my friend) to be in class. because we'll be braindead.

Well... this was unsual. Terra grinning, mischievious and words hinting at something exciting. Hell, before she even processed this information her body already decided she was in, wriggled out of the den. Whether it was the words, the look, or a mixture of both, she had no clue. But there was a mysterious Terra, and there was no way in hell she was missing it.

"Do I look too tired to you, my dear alpha?" she asked with an invisible brow raised. Had she been standing, she would have been standing with a brow raised, hip cocked to the side, and a hand resting on that hip. As a wolf, she got that same message across in a way that Kea wasn't quite sure how to describe. A grin played on her lips, and not exactly a nice one - it was devilish, as devious as Terra's was. In other words, she didn't look very tired at all, despite moments earlier.

    Ah, the late night Arianna.

/oooh, spanish? i can say something in spanish: "puedo tener helado por favor?" good luck though c:

Without waiting a moment longer, the wolf had gotten to his paws and turned, trotting out of camp rather quickly if quietly. He was obviously moving to cover distance, heading towards an obscure spot on one of the mountains. He went just fast enough so that it would take up a substantial amount of breath trying to talk.

Terra was rather excited, knowing that Arianna didn't know the Nox as he did, didn't know some of the mysteries it held. Sure, it seemed a little silly to be bringing her to somewhere inside the territory this late, but the moon was strongly lit, clouds scarce in the starry sky, so it'd work better like this.
Eventually, after several minutes of running (fifteen, twenty maybe), he came upon an opening in the base of the largest mountain on Noxian territory. It was dark inside, the dimmest of moonlight touching the eerie opening, and that is where the Alpha stopped, suddenly solemn. This place had an air of wrong, and the wolf halted, turning to make sure his companion was still with him.

ooc. no, no puedes tener helado. Yo quiero que comes bollo a la parilla, pero no helado. aND I SO DID THAT WITHOUT GOOGLE TRANSLATE I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF.

Arianna's grin widened as Terra moved out. That answer was a no. Curiosity burned inside of her as she followed, traveling quick enough so she was soon loping beside the older canine. Her mouth opened to speak... only to find exactly what Terra had done: gone at a speed that wqasn't grueling, but was quick enough where the urge to speak wasn't very strong. Clever bastard, Arianna thought, a little twist of admiration floating inside of her for the quick-thinking of the Nox alpha.

Since conversation was practically impossible, she instead fell into the reverie of the run. Since a child, she had loved running. This was no different, in the warm area that was the Nox. The wind streaming through her fur, all the scents, just the feel of glorious freedom. What made it better was that she had a companion, a partner in this, who also enjoyed the thrill of the run, the thrill of the hunt. While this was no hunt, the alpha had demonstrated only days past his joy of it.

The difference between her old runs and this run was much more than just the companionship; this run, in comparison, was short. She felt rather than saw Terra slow his steps, and she slowed down with him to a stop, to gaze upon the dark entrance that yawned before her. It only took a moment for the wrongness to hit her.

The smallest of gasps, followed by wide eyes. That was her reaction, as she felt that coldness invade her very marrow. Darkened eyes turned to meet Terra's, a hoarse whisper from a throat that should not have been roughened. "What is this place?" More importantly, why did he bring her? She knew it wasn't for a malevolent purpose - it just wasn't Terra - but the true reason, at this precise moment, was escaping her.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
His heart twisted a little at the sight of the entrance, and for a moment, he took a few steps in. His gaze was thrown about the inside, a few pebbles running down the side of the cavern and echoing in the vast, empty space. Up ahead, light filtered through a crack in the ceiling, shining off of something barely visible in the back of the cavern. Having seen what he needed to, Terra returned to Arianna just a few steps back and nodded towards the cave.
"This is the old Nox camp. We need to be careful, the mountain still shifts and settles- stick close?"

The last bit was uncertain, eyes giving a silent inquiry, asking whether or she was still in despite knowing that.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
Arianna watched silently as Terra entered, wondering what on earth this palce could be - she didn't have to wait long in answer, and she nodded slowly. Not in answer to Terra, but just a thoughtful nod. What caused the Noxians to move? The mountain moving? Pehraps collapsing tunnels? They could get trapped in there, permantely... but it just didn't seem like. She glanced at Terra, noting his inquiry in both tone of voice and in the depths of his nearly black gaze. "Stick close," she said firmly, voice proud and confident. Not completely devoid of the fear, but strong. "I trust you," she added a moment later, feeling like this latter part was just as important as her decision.

    ooc. sleeeeeeeeeeeeep

    /niiiiight

The words allowed him some easiness in breathing, since it would've been a shame to have dragged her all the way out here only to be forced to turn back. Besides, this was a part of Nox history- his history. The cave in seemed so long ago, but it really hadn't been, it had been a short time indeed. Yet his children? They wouldn't know of the camp as it was, and that saddened him.

"We call this Death's Door now. The camp used to be here, before we were known to the world. Before we knew about clans or any of that- these tunnels stretch through the mountain, and they used to be home. One day, the earth shook and this all collapsed."

He paused, having padded into the cave and past a few scattered fragments of crystal among the crumbled stone and cave walls. Terra's eyes bore into the wall on his right, frame still. The moon drifted in from cracks in the mountain, and was refracted and reflected by the few crystals about. It wasn't bright, but it wasn't much darker than outside.
"I was born in a den, down a tunnel that used to be there. "

He added, before snapping his attention forwards, preparing to go and awaiting Arianna's confirmation that they were ready to move on.

ooc. here it is, 12 hours late xD

Arianna nodded, eyes solemn as she gazed around. she could see the phantoms of life in here; shadowy packmates nuzzling each other, a kill being dragged in, a little black Terra running about, tussling with other pups and bothering the adults. She could see the full moon casting light into the cave, refracting beautifully on the crystals clustered about. She saw the earth trembling, heard the wails and screams of those being buried. A young Terra running out, trying to help.

"Many died here," she whispered, breaking the spell. The vision was only a figment of her imagination, and yet... she knew something similar had happened, likely. The sense of wrongness upon seeing this crack, upon entering it and casting her eyes around... it made sense. Those eyes, shining a strong amber in the moonlight, turned away and faced the wall Terra was facing. Those eyes darkened, a combination of the lack of a moon and her mood. She nodded slowly to his words, having nothing else to say - what could she say, in all sincerity?

    "speech" thoughts[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
As he moved forwards, a sudden crumbling of rocks audible in the distance. Terra paused, ears flicking forwards and fur raising a little as he tried to figure out where it had come from. Deeming it safe to continue, the black wolf set out until he turned sharply into a narrower area, squeezing through until the cavern opened up again.

Here, there were crystals everywhere, a pool of water nestled in the bottom of the crystals lined walls. The moon peeked in from tiny cracks in the ceiling, the dim lighting refracting through the crystals and illuminating the mountain pool.
"This is why I brought you."

Because this was beautiful- he had grown up with caverns like this- secluded and magnificent on their own, now more or less lost to the Nox.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
When the crumbling of rocks was heard, Arianna jerked, shoulder hitting Terra's as she did so. A curse fled her lips, and she sent Terra a look of apology, if he noticed before he moved. The female followed behind, wincing as the rock scraped scraps of fur off her broadened shoulders.

When she entered the cavern again, her breath caught on a sharp, audible inhale of shock. Yellow eyes roamed the crystals, the beautiful formations. Some went straight up, some below. Several were just stubs, and glimmered with the light of the moon. Arianna wasn't sure she had ever seen something so... simple yet complex, stark yet beautiful.

Her eyes drifted from the crystals to the pool, which also glowed a soft light - a gift of the moon, and the stillness of the water. In fact, as she approahced, paws just short of touching the water, she glimpsed stars reflected - three of them to be precise, all of them in a gentle curve. Much like the spots near her eyes, except these ones did not gradually enlarge.

"This is... beautiful," she whispered, awe obvious in the tone of her voice as she lifted her head to stare at Terra over her shoulder. Shet urned around, approaching the dark male and nosing his shoulder [if allowed], holding her muzzle there for a moment before withdrawing. "Thank you." So much meaning, in those two words: The sincerity, the genuine inflection of awe and admiration for the alluring scenery

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
He hadn't been expecting the sudden rush of emotion, nor the nose to his shoulder. His eyes, soft all of a sudden, looked at Arianna and he managed a smile, one that was legitimately sincere, and so much more gentle than anything he usually used. Terra hesitated, as he always did when thinking things through. This time, it was quicker, and he returned the gesture with soft spoken words, eyes shutting despite his love of the place around him.
"This is part of our home. I wanted you to know. Know the place we fight for and live in is so much more than anyone realizes. This place is a part of the Nox's home, and though sometimes we don't share everything, you deserve to know your home."

The Alpha paused, and straightened himself, his next tone a little more sheepish, a little quieter.
[b]"If you consider this home, I mean."

ooc. incomplete post, fell asleep while tpying and o i'll finish it later. will bump whyen done five edits and one bus ride later....

A smile of that sort, so kind and sincere, was something that Arianna was not expecting in the least. IT was, however, on eof the brighter moments of the night. She returned that smile, too, with one of her own - a faint smile, a hesitant one, tremulous but definitely there, especially visible in her eyes.

Her head bowed with the soft touch on her shoulder, and when Terra removed his muzzle, that same soft look was in her eyes that was in his. She watched him as he spoke; no longer did her instincts demand her to look away as was appropriate for a subordinate.

She also nodded as he spoke; truly, she was grateful of this. It touched her that the alpha realized she only knew the rudimentary information - that the secrest and past had remained hidden to her. One of those things was no longer hidden

A soft laugh was the response to that sheepish remark. It wasn't mocking; it was pure, unadulterated amusement. As if the Nox would be anything else."I do, Terra," she murmured after that laugh. The Nox was the home she had been looking for - and even though it wasn't perfect, she would want to be anywhere else.

Bumping because I finished the post

    "speech" thoughts[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
Oh, good- she was home here. The Alpha was grinning again, his tail brushing aside dirt in its nearly imperceptible wagging. His eyes kept still, reveling in the reception of the outing. This was good, this was something that he did that made Arianna happy, himself happy. This was a place that was important to him, and he had brought someone along, opened up, which was more than he did lately.

    "Come on."

He prompted, before running into the pool. The deepest part of this pool was just over his head, and the water was cool.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
Arianna's eyes lit up at the grin, and her tail - unlike Terra's - beat against the floor quite audibly in her happiness. At the prompting, she followed a bit more slowly, wading into the pool with her eyes closed in bliss. The water felt amazing to her; she quite loved it as she completely slid into the water and paddled towards Terra. A mischievous grin passed her face, and she ducked her muzzle in the water to flick some water at Terra

ooc. sorry for the crappy post, I've been pokemoning

    "speech" thoughts[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
    [ooc.] no problem~!

Water prompted a snort and the shake of his head. Slyly, the Alpha lowered himself under the water, the top of his head visible like a crocodile's. The water was clear, so he was pretty obvious in his presence. However, he held his breath beneath the pool, trying to gently topple Arianna by nudging her legs.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
It wasn't so much of toppling as it was disrupting Arianna's rhythm so she floundered... and sank. Whatever it was, it was effective. Her side hit the bottom and she flailed until she stood, bubbles escaping from her nostrils as she breathed out, very careful not to take a breath it. She drifted until she was partially under Terra, and then she pushed herself up, propelling towards the surface and attempting to knock into Terra's side, aiming to do the same exact thing he did... except a lot less gentle and a lot more bluntly.

    "speech" thoughts[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
One moment he had been chuckling at his victory over the other, the next moment he was wooshed off his paws and gave a shocked yelp as he himself was knocked under the water. Ooh, karma was a * apparently, and the dark wolf decided to lay as still as he could at the bottom of the pool.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
Arianna laughed as he plopped and she drifted upwards, and continued giggling as she stared through the water. After a long moment, she finally got herself under control and she drew in a large breath. Her paws stilled, and she sank once more - directly on top of Terra. Wriggling so she was half on the male and half-off, she cautiously slithered her tongue between her teeth in a way that only a small amount of water trickled in her mouth. she rasped that tongue across Terra's face a few times - well, until she felt the urge to breathe. Wriggling off Terra completely, her tongue slipped back in her mouth and she nosed his shoulder in a clear message of Get up, get up!, before drifting upwards again - and being very careful to be some distance away so he can't knock her over. Again.

    "speech" thoughts[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ]
He was at ease, he realized, with no small amount of joy in the action. Elsewhere, a rock fell and bounced thrice before stilling. The light waved on the ripples of the pool, like white fabric, silky on top of the water. It was serene, it was a moment taken out of time, a peace that was perhaps the most wonderful thing he had done in a long time.
Those moments weren't so rare with Arianna.

Terra snapped out of it as his shoulder was nudged, and he emerged from the water with a stupid grin spread across his face.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px]
Arianna flicked an eaar back quizzically... but also in an expression of pure sass, as if a human teenager raising her eyebrow. She paddled over the the alpha and waded in front of him, a grin on her face as well, "Any reason you're looking like that, my dear alpha?" Her nose twitched in the surpressed laughter, eyes dancing in mirth as she regarded Terra. Despite her teasing manner, she... truly had no idea as to why he looked like that. Of course, depending on how much he noticed, he may notice that... or he may notice it in the way it sounded shallowly - teasing and unintentionally flirtatious.
