Where is your characters living quarters and how does it look like? (OOC stuff)

    I've been asking myself that a lot in the past. I'm a curious guy and when I rp in a Clan with people that I simply adore I want to know everything about the characters! Then I started asking myself "How does Remi's room look like? How does Avorio's room smell like? How big if Rosen's window and where is it?" These and many questions started to jump in to my mind cause I started to imagine how and where are all the characters sleeping? Are they on the second floor of the mansion? At the end of the hall? how does the door to their room look like? Is it old, worn, polished? Do they live in a cave in the forest? And so on. It's kind of similar to that "How do you think the island looks like" thread where I couldn't contain my curiosity as to how other members of the Clan imagined the island that the Skulls used to live in. It was a really interesting thread so I hope that this one gets as much love xD


    So I made this thread so that you and I can find out how decorated is your characters rooms.


    Rangi's home is humble, in fact he lives in a huge hollowed out tree in to the middle of the forest, the tree is wide and it looks to be the oldest one around. He has a large bear fur carpet that covers the entire floor of the tree so when you walk it it will feel soft and maybe a bit ticklish, a underground cellar door where he stores his food, ores, tools and everything he might need. Dangling in the middle of the room is a makeshift chandelier made out of deer horns with five glass jars filled with fireflies, their light illuminating the interior with a dim glow giving off a warm snug feeling. On the far end of the tree, opposite of the exit, there is a makeshift bed out of straw and feathers. Decorating the walls is one huge mural picturing the wild African plains with running wildebeest, trees, puddles and giraffes so when you enter in to the tree you get this feeling as if you just stepped in to Africa. His home has that old antique like comfy feel and smells of wood (duh!), the interior of the tree protects him from all harsh weather and it's even easy to keep the place warm.


    So how does your characters living quarters looks like? ;D

    Ammy, I believed, found a room in around the second floor because of her love for gazing out the windows. Speaking of which, she propped a stool near it due to her dwarfed size compared to most, and often curls up on the windowsill to watch rain or snow fall from the heavens. Her room began as rustic; she had little to no belongings before she scavenged and discovered odd knick knacks like colored glass, various stones, and pressed flowers/herbs. Because of the latter, Ametrinepaw and herself seem to smell faintly of lavender and honeyed chestnuts, as well as the outside itself as she allows a draft from her window. She also has a small shelf of worn books that she discovered amidst the mansion, but has yet to learn how to read, despite her passion to learn what lie within the pages. With some trading, Ammy decorated her room with scented candles and fabrics of all hues as blankets or curtains, not to mention the hoarde the other Twoleg items she keeps in a closet that came with her room. But that's for another day. <3

    To answer your question, Avorio's room smells like pine trees (her husband always said she smelled like pine needles).


    As for what it looks like, Lady lives in a room on the mansion's top floor. It's not too big and too small; just perfect for a petite feline like her. Her bed is made from a collection of pillows and blankets, all of which are in warm colors since Lady really doesn't like the cold. There's a bookshelf filled with the items of sentimental value she has gathered throughout her lifetime. These items include her chocolate brown scarf and her old banjo. There is also a wooden desk in the room, to which a map is pinned. Above this desk, is a window with a magnificent view over the territory.

    well I’m guessing it’s a little room to where she could fit a bed and some other decorations. It has snowflake sticky things on the ceiling that glow in the dark a bright white. She has a crystal blue bed covering with white snowflakes on it also. Idk just an ice theme to go with my avvie character XD

    Anyway, first thing that popped into my head when you asked about Remi's room: fit for a queen.
    Obviously, being the haughty vampiress she is, Remi claimed a nice, luxurious room all to herself.
    Queen-sized bed with-- aha! It's called a canopy bed.
    Plenty of pillows (too many, in fact), very fluffy, I imagine the color red as the blanket and the canopy bed having "curtains" of sorts...
    She sleeps in the center where she's surrounded by all of those pillows and buried in that fluffiness. It's definitely too big for a small feline like her, but it's quite fitting, don't you think? xD Maybe it represents her ego.
    The rest of the room was definitely prettied up by her and, obviously, very spacious and once again larger than necessary for a she-cat Remi's size. Just imagine that normal queen room or something. Nightstand, dresser? etc. From the humans who left them behind.
    Definitely a big mirror in there somewhere so Remi can look at herself all the time and make sure she looks perfect at all times.
    And she collects interesting stuff, so she has a stash of various objects (lotta jewelry) somewhere. Either in her closet or in a corner or something.




    As for the scent?
    Smells of roses.
    Not because she naturally smells like that, but because she wanted her room to smell nice and she loaded it with rose petals.
    A lady smelling of roses, flowers, or somethin'. xD

    Well, I think Rosencrsntz's room would be quite open with high ceilings and large open windows that look out onto a secret garden to the back of the mansion. It would also be quite a way away from the others because she is quite shy and likes her own space. Inside the room I see a theme of pale blue walls and white ceilings, edging and thigs. She doesn't like the cold either so would probably have a number of duvets and things used to make a nest as well as Rangi's old blanket (long story). So yeah, bright, airy, lofty, I don't really know what else to say.

    Finally I know! :o


    Now Rangi can go around causing havoc in your rooms >:D


    And dayum! Remi sure likes being the Queen, I can't even imagine how she would react if she came in to her room one day tired as heck and find Rangi sleeping in her comfy bed... ??? I'm gonna go and make that thread now :P

    For some reason, I think Feza would have a really messy room, since she does collect like everything she sees. Have a piece of glass you left on the floor? She's probably got it in her room or something. She's got shiny stuff and items she's found while exploring. She also has a small corner in her room to sleep in;no bed; and she uses the rest of the room to do any of her crazy social experiments. She has a large window on the left wall, which is nearly always open. She has a closet filled with tons of crap in the back right corner, and her bed is in the farthest right corner.

    Bit late on this bandwagon, but Carcosa found herself a nice walk-in closet with lots of shelves and a high ceiling. It's big enough for her to fly up to the top shelves and small enough to make her feel secure. She stores useful things and her runes safely on the shelves, and one of the lower ones is piled wtih blankets for her to slip into at night. The door is loosely fitted, so in the daytime light streams through the cracks. She has a bunch of white Christmas lights strung on the ceiling. Sometimes she moves her bed to the floor and plugs them in, and it makes her feel like she's camping under the stars.

    i'm a bit late as well, it seems. as for sangatsu's room, i'm sure it would be pretty clean, but would have various beakers with colored liquids inside laid all over, just in case he forgets where he puts them, and a bunch of scattered notes taped all over his bed for the same reason. he does not have a window, because the sun doesn't matter to him, but he does have a small white lamp so that he can read and stuff when it gets dark. there's a closet that came with his room, too, but you shouldn't open the door because he keeps all the apples he stole from the kitchen in there and it's too much to open the door without being mini crushed by them c:
    on the other hand, it probably smells like he lit a vanilla candle in there, because he did find and crush vanilla beans for the smell. because vanilla is a good smell to him.
