  • I thought about this not sure how it will work out but I hope it goes far. So this is about a kit and she was left in the woods when she was born her parents are dead but she doesn't know that. So she tries to go find them. You can join her journey in any way you want. Hope this goes very far. Bare with me this is my first thread like this. :D

The small kit woke up in a mossy forest. She was laying in a blanket of moss. She noticed that she was alone and started to cry for company. She was nervous, scared, cold and hungry. All she could think of doing was crying for her parents.

  • Aerie carked as he head the kit's mews. The raven flew down to look a her, cocking his head occasionally as he went about his examination. 'Why would a kit this young be alone like this? he wondered 'Where are its parents? He hopped over to the kit and spread his wings, wrapping one around her. Even though cats were a raven's natural predators, he couldn't just let this creature die.

  • A young she-cat, not quite a year old, was wondering not too far away, but far enough to not hear the kit. She was a simple calico cat with white on her belly, paws, chest, and muzzle. She was currently stalking a small mouse. She had been practicing and hoped she would catch this one this time.

  • Aerie recoiled slightly in surprise at the strange rumbling coming from the kit's throat. He had never heard a cat make that noise before, so he had absolutely no idea what was happening. He looked down at the kit with warmth after he knew he wasn't about to die. So far, this was going quite nicely. Now all he had to do was find out why exactly this kit was alone.

  • The kit began to shiver as a slow breeze brushed through. She let it out mew of fear as the breeze brushed her fur. She curled closer the the strange creature to try and stay warm.

  • The she-cat pounced and missed. She hissed in displeasure and turned away and more into the forest. She hoped to find something more. As she looked around, she kept her paws as silent as she could. A movement out of the corner of her eye made her freeze. She thought she saw a bird on the forest floor.

  • Aerie jolted in surprise as the kit snuggled closer to him. He (veryreluctantly) wrapped his wing more tightly around her, ensuring that the breeze wouldn't hit her. 'I must be going insane...' he thought, slightly amused 'Taking care of a cat!' He quickly turned his head toward the calico hunting near him and the kit, fear coursing through his veins as he froze.

  • The dark kit broke the awkward silence with a tiny mew. The strength of the creature pulled her closer and she let out another purr once again feeling oddly protected.

  • The she-cat froze. Did that bird just...meow? She thought. She shook her head and turned, padding towards the raven. She tried to hide herself as best as she could, but she wasn't that good. She froze a fox-length away.

  • Aerie stared at the calico. 'Is she trying to... hide?' he wondered as she crept. The raven glared at the cat and tucked his head in the gap he created with his wing for the kit. He didn't know what motives the newcomer had, but he knew he had to protect this kit at all costs. Then he heard the tiny creature mew again. 'Maybe she could help...' he begrudgingly thought, 'The kit needs to eat, and she would know what to give it.'

  • The calico stopped her hunt and began to glance around rapidly. Now she knew she heard a kit! But where was it. She glanced over at the bird again. Maybe... "Hello? Is someone there?" She questioned cautiously. Her voice was young but not incredibly so.

  • Aerie nervously wondered whether or not he should respond. After carefully considering both options, he finally said, "I found this kit... Would you have any idea where she came from?" He had to carefully pick out his words, as he was unsure if the cat would even understand his strangely accented phrases.

  • The calico frowned. It had been a while since she had spoke to a bird. Sadly enough, it wasn't all that uncommon for her. She tilted her head and moved forward. She moved slowly so as not to alarm the bird or the kit. She took in the small little creature and shook her head. "I'm sorry. No, I don't. But I might know someone that does. She has two kits of her own."

  • Aerie sighed softly in relief. "Thank you..." he muttered to the calico. 'Yup,' he mused to himself, 'Definitely insane' First he saved a kit, and now he's talking to a cat! 'I wonder what could happen next?' he pondered, 'Befriending mice and helping beetles across praries?' He then got up and attempted to pick up the kit with his beak, failing miserably the first few times, then finally getting a loose grip on her scruff.

  • The kit sqealed a couple times but as soon as the creature had a grip on her scuff she looked around in wonder. She wanted to see every little thing in the forest.

  • She blinked. "You know...I can carry her. It might be much easier." She turned and pointed with her tail in the direction she came from. "It's a bit that way. We will probably get there around sunset but at least the kit will have food."
