    Rootkit padded into the clearingo camp, in between his paw he was rolling up some moss. The past few days he had been practicing, making the attempt to become a better hunter. He was getting closer and closer to becoming an apprentice, this was no time to slack off and sleep all day. Plus the small kit was starting to get a little chubby from the lack of playing around. Though the last few days had changed that, plus his new form.

Always full of him running around, running out of camp, running into another clan's territory, getting captured...actually, that was just once, but still. And he loved kittens, so seeing kits in the clan still made him smile.


    The Adviser noticed Rootkit with the mossball, and padded over, barking a question of, "Hey, kid. What's the mossball for?"


    Either the famous game, or hunting. But, he was still interested to find out what.

    "Hunting practice" Rootkit mewed in a rather calm tone as he finished creating the ball. He rolled it somewhat far from the group, maybe a tail-length or two away from them. He stood and passed the other tabby, "You can call me Rootkit" maybe even Rootstar one day, but that day was far,far into the future.

He had picked up a few things by watching others but hadn't actually attempted much,at least not successfully. He had to be doing something wrong, maybe the others would help him."If you want to."

    Rootkit backed up , looking at the older clan mates around him. He'd never really thought him playing, well attempting to hunt a moss would cause others pay attention to him.     Rootkit was snapped out of his little eager moment by hearing the call from one of the cats he was closer to in Windclan, Winterpaw. " Hey" he mewed, already expecting the other to almost knock him off balance from the hug. After a few moments he squirmed away from the other, his neatly clean fur was ruffled, what a joy now he had to clean it again.

    " Yeah."Rootkit nodded his somewhat flattened and messy head in response to Winterpaw's question. One day he was going to be the greatest warrior ever, but before that he had to be the greatest apprentice ever.Meaning even before he becomes an apprentice he has to start his practice early, even if it is less than a moon away. His tail flicked a bit annoyed, he should have started practicing early, look at him, un prepared as a kit could be. True he did do a bit of training every once and awhile, but you know the less you use your skills the worse they become. No way was Rootkit going to let his skills rust.
