[sub]It was a wonderful day. The sun beamed down over the territory for the first time in what seemed like forever, providing warmth to drown the effects of the bitter winter, there was not a single cloud in the seemingly endless crystal blue sky. Lovekit was sat on the frame of one of the many windows in the castle, multicolored gaze staring out, watching some NPC apprentices play outside, giggling. She was well aware that kits were not allowed to leave the castle without someone to escort them, but she wanted to go outside now, she didn't want to wait another two months, she wasn't going to let anyone stop her. Raising to her paws, the lilac kitten turned around and jumped down, quickly grabbing her pink scarf before making her way down the stairs and slipping out the door.
Lovekit ears twitched as she picked up on the gentle rhythm of beating wings, tilting her head back to search for the source, she noticed a fierce looking bird swoop down and perch itself on the branch of a nearby tree, it's small black eyes that lacked emotion trained directly on her, staring through her soul. It was at that point that she knew what was happening, that it was contemplating about having her for dinner. Did she flee, like any one else would do if placed in that situation? Nope, instead she, rather foolishly, decided that she would be able to take it on, despite the fact that she had no training in combat, nor did she have any powers. She had doomed herself.
"Come at me you stupid bird." Her impulsive and over-confident personality had gotten the better of her, that she didn't think of the consequences, only the perks of what might happen if it all went the way she wanted to, that she would receive praise if she took down a falcon. It outstretched it's wings, snapping it's beak at her. Lovekit stood there, fur ruffled up, tiny claws unsheathed, ready to take it on. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
At incredible speed, the falcon dived towards her, and she barely had enough time to comprehend it's movements and raise her paw to defend herself before it took a strike, raking it's sharp talons across her back, causing her to let out a cry of pain. The wounds were deep, scarlet liquid began to gather and trickle over her lilac tortoiseshell coat, but would probably heal within time and not leave a scar. Only her determination prevented her from collapsing to the ground in defeat, lips pulled back to reveal her teeth.
It repeated the action, this time she managed to rake her claws into it's fragile chest, she was really proud of herself until she realized that the small cuts she had made barely affected it. The falcon clamped it's beak around her tail, slicing through her fur and flesh, this injury was too serve to be repaired, halt of it would need to be amputated. Finally, when the bird of prey let go and shoved one of it's feet into her back in order to force her to the ground, she collapsed. If someone didn't arrive soon, she'd be it's next meal.
ooc. Injuries: Deep cuts on her back and a severe tail injury that will end up in half of it getting amputated.
