Virginia smiles and laughs softly, "They aren't a really wellknown place, but they are totally worth the short trip." she tells him.

He nodded, swinging down from the tailgate and holding out a hand to help Virginia down. Only if she needed it, of course.
-
She graciously takes his hand, "Thank you," she says softly, jumping off of the tailgate, her feet landing on the ground.
-
He let go, turning quickly to stride over to the passenger side and slide inside.
-
Her hand lingered in his for a moment too long. She lets him get in the truck a few moments before she joins him as she closes up the tailgate.
-
Olivander just sat there, not knowing what to do or say now. He'd never been any good at light conversation... but what else could he do? "So, um... how far away is this place?"
-
"Oh, it's about a half hour away," Virginia remarks as she closes her door, hooking her seatbelt before she starts the truck.
-
"Ah, okay." He hurriedly snapped his seatbelt into place as well, then shifted to look out the window.
-
"So... How are your classes going?" She asks him quietly as she looks at the road.
-
"Ah, alright. I got a good grade for that one project--the one I asked you for help with, remember? But now my teacher is hinting at another one.... And you?"
-
Virginia nods softly, "Well that's good. I have a little trouble with chemistry, but other than that, everything is going pretty well." She tells him.
-
"Ah, okay. You can't be good at everything, I suppose."
-
"That's very true, but I'm glad that I could be of some assistance on your project." She tells him, glancing over at him.
-
"I... er, yeah. Thank you for that... again." He turned to meet her gaze, but broke eye contact quickly and looked down.
-
Virginia smiles involuntarily, "You're welcome. If you ever need assistance on anything else, just let me know," She tells him softly, turning her attention to the road again.
-
"Alright," he says quickly, not daring to look up just in case she was still looking at him. He did find it a bit awkward--perhaps even unnerving--when all two people did was stare at each other, so he tended to avoid that as best he could. Or maybe it was because he might find some sort of judgment in their eyes, unneeded discrimination that he didn't want to have to deal with.
-
"What are you thinking about?" She asks him curiously, noticing that he seems suddenly withdrawn.
-
He remained silent for some time, trying to think up an answer that she probably wouldn't consider weird. "Er... just school," he said at last, "Just... a lot of stuff."
-
Virginia nods softly, "Oh, okay." She says quietly, chewing on the inside of her lip as she drives.
-
"So... almost there yet?" he asks, trying and failing to start up the conversation once again, in a way that most others would.
