"True," Rollan nodded, then he remembered when he was a kid, he had a clown doll. Rollan remembered a nightmare, as if it was last night's.
Rollan sat on his bed, about to get ready to sleep, when a clown laugh echoed through his room. Rollan spotted something out of the corner of his eye, and he looked down, seeing an orange ball attached to a string slide under his bed. Rollan froze, turned, and all he remembered was his clown doll leaping at him.
Rollan jumped, but settled, growing quiet.

Rollan felt tears forming in his eyes. He wiped the ones in his left eye, with his good arm, then the ones in his right eye, sighing. His father was dead before he was born, and his mother couldn't care for him because she was sick, so she gave him to an orphanage, and left him there until he was 5, when he ran away. Rollan had lived on the streets for most of his years, knowing every trick, every track, every sense of secrets. He even was accused a few times, but he was as innocent as a little child with a lollipop.

Savannah remembered when her parents were killed in front of her. She was little, and a big man pushed her out of the way to get to her parents. He had a butchers knife and killed her parents. She was weak and fragile then, and she cried. The man kicked her and hit her until the cops came. The killer almost killed her before a police man shot the man. Seven years past of her being in an orphanage and she never showed any emotion. Never cried, never showed mercy. She didn't like anyone either. She spent days at a time on the streets with her best friend, Kenski. "Oi. I've taught you everything I know." Kenski told her one day. He taught her how to survive on the streets of the Bronx. Savannah nodded and blinked at her friend. "Will you come with me, Kenski?" She asked. "I can't." He said. That was the first time in three years she'd shown. The 10 year old bawled and begged for Kenski to come with her. He refused. That week, Savannah left for the Bronx alone, and trusted no one. She no longer let herself get close to anyone anymore. Never would she again. Savannah stared at the window, showing no emotion again. She took deep breaths and scoffed. "Damn you Kenski." She mummbled.
