[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; color: ; font-size: 7pt; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; width: 300px; height: 200px;]It hurt. It hurt a lot.
Losing teeth was normal for children, yes, especially of his age. But that wasn't what hurt; he had lost his most prominent front tooth just yesterday, heck, he didn't even know where he'd lost it. That was how painless and marginal it was to him. But it was abnormal for other teeth to grow so quickly in their place, wasn't it? And it wasn't normal for replacement teeth to ache so much.
Ray found himself spitting out blood as the replacement tooth tore through gum; just from feeling it, he could tell the new addition was different. It was... curved, and broader than the rest. And it was growing in far too fast.
Groaning, Ray stumbled outside of the East temple, holding a paw to his mouth. Unbeknownst to the child, he was growing in sabre teeth; or, for now, just a sabre tooth. For a while, he maw look a little lopsided, with just one gigantic fang curving out of his jaw.
