Dakota raised a surprised eyebrow at Noah's book choice. "Fun," he said with a hint of sarcasm before sitting down at his usual seat across from him. He shook his head lightly at Noah's remark. "Nah, I just didn't think you'd be in the library yet. I was going to go get you, but I guess that was pointless," he replied, shrugging as he took out his books. "And yes, surprisingly enough, I managed to start and finish my Charms homework. Mostly just cause I was bored out of my mind and it was easy, but still." It was pretty unusual for Dakota to even do his homework, let alone finish it in class, so he was kind of proud about the whole thing.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]should I give Dakots someone to be jealous of/be questioning about?

The blond's eyebrows perked up, his bright eyes almost showing surprise. Not something he'd ever expect Dakota would say. "Don't expect me to give you some grand prize, but for you that's good." He smiled slightly at the other male before he grabbed his bag off it's spot on the floor. He'd finished charms as well and gotten halfway through another assignment. He wasn't sure why he hadn't started right when he got there, instead waiting for Dakota. It just felt a little odd not to wait. "Oh, by the way the girls were talking about you again in the common room. I'm kind of tired of hearing how cute or hot or whatever you are to them." He stated without looking up. he was secretly agreeing though. Noah laid out his transfiguration essay, part of the parchment already decorated with black ink. He was already adding onto the sentences only a few minutes later.

hmm well dakota still thinks noah is asexual, but i guess maybe he could be kind of jealous of zoey bc whenever she teases him noah blushes (for a different reason tho) and she always gets to touch him like ruffle his hair and stuff so casually and dakota can be like 'wow that's cute why can't i do that wait what'. and then dakota can try to subtly ask zoey if she likes noah or vise versa and zoey can just be like 'wow you're an idiot arent you'. idk if that made sense i just kinda made it up on the spot eh

Dakota sighed and gazed out the window over-dramatically. "Aw, and here I was looking for some sort of reward," he said jokingly. He turned back to the book laid out in front of him, beginning his defense against the dark arts homework about boggarts. Surprisingly, Dakota had stoppped dreading these tutoring sessions. He might even go as far as to say he enjoyed them, although there was no way he'd admit it to Noah. The blond just liked not being surrounded by gossip and people all the time, and Noah's presence was pretty chill and calming. Unless he was being sarcastic, but Dakota only found it entertaining rather than irritating. Not like he'd ever admit that either though. He chuckled lightly. "Ah well, there's nothing I can do about my dashing good looks and irresistible charm," the blond mused. "If you're tired of hearing about it then you might as well join in," he added with a smirk.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]that is the perfect plan. It would also be an easier way to Dakota what's going on. Noah could just be in the corner with a book and not even notice until Zoey explains and Dakota looks at him all freaked out & surprised or whatever

Noah grinned, shaking his head without looking up. "Is this your way of trying to get affection out of me?" He asked, his eyes flicking upwards. If so, you could probably say the tactic was working. The blond was really just messing around with what he said. The blond got up out of his seat and moved behind Dakota, looking over the taller boy's shoulder which was hard to do even with him sitting. He was only reading what the blond had written so far, mainly because he didn't want to explain the rest of the process to transfiguration. Noah didn't notice Sam walk out of the book shelves nearby. The 7th year saw them and shook his head, quietly calling from his spot twelve feet away. "Well aren't you two a cute couple?" He grinned as Noah looked over with eyes the size of coins, some red filtering into his cheeks. He'd kill the older male later. The blond moved back to his seat with his head down to hide the blush before starting back on his homework without another word.

having noah in the same room not knowing what zoey is telling dakota would be perfect like he'd just act all normal and dakota would flip out. and like maybe they find the mirror of erised on accident and at first dakota sees really basic stuff like quidditch or whatever but then he just sees him and noah (but like standing closer than they actually are or something idk) and he's like oh it must be broken lol and he tells noah and noah's like internally freaking out

Dakota rolled his eyes and didn't reply, though there was no denying the small smile that remained on his lips. He kept writing, glancing up as Noah stood and came to look over his shoulder, not really minding at all. He was about to tease Noah about their height difference when he heard Sam's voice. The blond hadn't seen or heard him coming and he startled a bit, only realizing the small distance that had been between him and Noah once he registered Sam's comment, but by then Noah was seated back in his chair and seemed to be a lot more focused on his homework. Dakota rubbed the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. "Ha, real funny," he replied, shaking his head and looking over at the other boy. He was pretty sure he'd seen the tall male near Noah a couple of times, but he didn't think he'd ever spoken to him before.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]Noah would like faint and Dakots would have to tell Zoey what happened, and then Dakota will have raised chaos. and when he freaks out and Noah realizes what happens he'll just like blush and attempt to run for his life out of fear of rejection and Dakota will have to chase him or hunt him down later

The Ravenclaw smiled, glancing at Noah again. "No need to act like you actually know me." He offered, abe the only response he got from the blond was being flipped off. He walked off, leaving Noah to hide his blush behind his hair that had fallen in his face. Due to his new found focus on the homework, he got the charms essay done faster then he's hoped. The blond got out his stuff for the defense against the dark arts to the boggart section. He finally looked up again for the first time, the blush faded. "How's your homework?" He asked, his tone soft like he was afraid he'd start blushing again if he spoke normally.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
yes okay this needs to happen idk when but it just does

Dakota just watched the two interact silently until Sam left and then went back to his work. He was practically done with his paper on boggarts when Noah finally spoke up, although his softer-than-usual tone did catch Dakota slightly off guard. "Basically done with this," he said as he slid the paper over to Noah's side of the table. "I can't lie, those things creep me out," the blond added, referring to the boggarts. He hadn't ever encountered one, but the professor had mentioned something about bringing one in to experience it first hand, and Dakota wasn't looking forward to it. He wasn't exactly sure what it would turn into, but he didn't really want to find out. Out of nowhere Dakota remembered what Zoey had said earlier. "Oh, are you in a better mood today? Zoey said you seemed kinda depressed yesterday," he mentioned, leaning back in his seat.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]He wasn't excited much by the idea of a boggart either. He knew Jill was in his class and he didn't want Her to know what he was most terrified of. He was caught off guard by the question when he heard it, nearly fumbling his quill. "Um. Yeah, I guess." His voice was still quiet as he before, leaving his words to kind of drift over to Dakota. He shifted uncomfortably, remembering his reason for being freaked out - the blond's note. He was surprised it hadn't been mentioned.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
Dakota looked out the window momentarily, his chin resting on his hand. "Well that's good. I didn't really notice it, but Zoey said it was later on. Which is kinda weird, since when I left you sleeping you seemed fine," he said casually. "Speaking of which, you still haven't thanked me for not waking you up," Dakota added with a scowl, settling his gaze on Noah.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]i imagine that if one of them got hurt the other would be like really worried but not know what to do so they'd be awkwardly standing at the edge of the hospital wing.

"Uh yeah. Zoey tends to notice whenever I start to get depressed again. She worries since last time I got shoved in the lake by my house by some muggle kids." He mumbled, shrugging. It had occurred a while back when that happened, but he was still pestered by the muggle boys at home. Normally he just ignored them now, but back then he'd just been an easy target. Zoey had come to visit a little after it happened, and if Noah's brother hadn't stopped her, it wouldn't have been good news. He smiled slightly at seeing Dakota scowl, mainly because last time the male had scowled he'd been drenched in water, which was what Noah was seeing in the back of his head. "Thanks, even though your the one that kept me awake." he replied, setting his quill down to relax his hand. "I don't suppose I'm aloud to drench you with water again anytime soon, correct?"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
ha yes dakota would be like 'do i go in do i stay here does he even want to see me probably not but i don't really wanna leave' and he could give noah 'get better' chocolate but never admit it was actually him

Dakota frowned at hearing that Noah had been pushed into a lake, and his hands unconsciously clenched under the table. "You should've turned them into frogs," he huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. The thought of having some muggles bullying Noah made him pretty mad, and though he did well to hide it he didn't know why it made him so upset in the first place. His attention shifted to Noah's other comment about Dakota being the one keeping him up all night. He raised his eyebrows in surprise, unable to think why that would be the case. "Don't you dare do that again. I was freezing for most of the night. It's a miracle I didn't get sick. But I didn't even go into the ravenclaw common room last night, so how was I the one keeping you up?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]that would be so amusing. Noah would ask Zoey to find out who it was and she wouldn't tell him even if she did just cause she thought it was cute. Noah would be so quiet if DAKOTA got hurt. He'd try to visit the hospital wing but all of his friends would be there and he'd just shrink away again, not knowing if he even counted as a friend. He'd come and visit on occasion though when no one else was there, probably at times when DAKOTA had fallen asleep. He'd leave like notes and blush if he ever saw or figured out it was him..

"If I had turned them into frogs I would have gotten into trouble with the ministry." He mumbled, rolling his eyes. "night before last night." he corrected. He hasn't meant the last night. NOAH had worried himself so much that he was exhausted and fell asleep hours early for once. "The only reason your so mad about getting wet is because you didn't get to make out with one of the girls." As he said it, his smile kind of faded and he went back to his work. He had to admit he didn't really like the girls, other then because they wanted revenge on him. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair, tempted to get up and leave now, seeing as he could see his quill shaking a bit has he held it. The nervous shaking happened every once and a while still, especially when he was upset.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
the fact that we are making headcanons for these two amuses me so much. i kinda wanna have one of them get hurt just to rp it but then again i dont want them to be in pain man.

Dakota simply shrugged, close to finishing the last bit of his homework. Normally he'd be rejoicing over this, but now he was a bit reluctant to leave. When Noah mentioned Jill and Lisa the blond looked up to give the other a quick glance before returning to his work. At the time although he had kissed Lisa plenty of times he had been pretty upset that it hadn't gone much further. Normally he wouldn't hesitate to admit that, but around Noah he felt no desire to even talk about the two girls. "I don't really care about it now," he replied more quietly than usual, writing as he said so. If Levi had been dead, he'd probably roll over in his grave at that remark.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]same c:

Noah finished his homework a little after Dakota's reply, and he hadn't said anything. The conversation had somehow found a way to hit a sore spot on both of them, leaving them in silence for the minutes passing. The blond made sure the ink on his parchment was dry before he put his stuff in his bag, like leaving as fast as possible was the best idea at the moment. Neither of them appeared to be in the best mood anymore, at least not to Noah. He'd grabbed his books and bag before quickly walking out of the library with his head slightly down to hide his face. He didn't even say bye, he just left. Noah didn't really feel like trying to be happy anymore anyways. The blond walked to the common room and dropped his stuff off before sitting down with the two seventh years. Sam mentioned seeing him and Dakota, but it was quickly dropped when they saw that Nowh seemed almost upset by the conversation. By dinner he'd cheered up enough to start smiling and laughing. He walked into the great hall with the two seventh years, zoey's arm tossed around his shoulders.

Dakota hadn't said anything, rather confused as to why Noah had left without saying a word, and a frown formed on his lips. He hadn't been completely oblivious of the change in mood after their last comments, so he hadn't even tried to stop Noah. He ran a hand through his hair with a small sigh before quickly finishing his work and heading out. The session had finished earlier than usual, so he met up with Levi and they talked about the Room of Requirement and the Mirror and their Hogsmeade plans. Soon dinnertime arrived and the boys made their way to the hall, joined by a few others. Dakota was already seated when he happened to notice Noah and the other two walking in, with Zoey's arm draped over the blond's shoulder. His frown returned and he turned back to his own table, trying not to think about how Noah had practically jumped out of his skin when he'd simply grabbed him during potions class but now seemed perfectly fine with Zoey's arm around him.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]Dakota you idiot don't you realize he's got a crush on you? I mean why wouldn't he jump when you practically jerked him into your chest out of no where.

Noah sat down with his back towards the Gryffindor table, another way to keep him from glaring in Dakota's direction. The rest of the Quiddich team - or most of it anyways - kept him busy enough with talking. Before he'd onlu sat here because Zoey and Sam did, and most of the time he was left alone. Now he was being dragged into conversations that to tell the truth, he didn't care about. Noah ate a little bit, trying to go unnoticed, but his usual tactics weren't working. He just ended getting up earlier then his friends to go back to the common room. They gave him worried looks, like he might go jump off the astronmy tower just cause he was annoyed. That might have been an exaggeration but still. The blond walked out of the great hall with his head down a little, going unnoticed by the other students again as he left to the common room.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
he is an oblivious, unsuspecting moose

"Hey, are you even listening?" Dakota snapped out of his thoughts and nodded vigorously in response to the girl in front of him. "Of course I was," he lied, hiding behind his cup of pumpkin juice. The girl continued talking about who knows what as Dakota pretended to be interested and soon stood, saying he didn't feel too well and wanted to go to bed early. Levi had spotted him getting up from his table and, not getting that Dakota wanted to be left alone, joined him, suggesting they start their search for the mirror. The dirty blond shrugged and agreed, and they basically just walked around the halls no one really used. "You seem off," Levi remarked with suspicious eyes. "Not really," Dakota replied, but Levi only shook his head. "You do. Usually after your tutoring sessions you're pretty cheerful." The blond's eyes narrowed, but he said nothing.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]pour little moose. i feel like Levi will either totally hate the idea of Dakota and Noah together or help Zoey to make it a thing.

The Ravenclaw was taking the long and less used way back to the common room, not wanting to run into anyone. He didn't even think of peeves coming around and playing a prank on him. Noah was walking across a carpet, which he probably should have noticed as it had never been there before. It was jerked out from under him by the ghost, and the blond fell into a nearby suit of armor, which clatter to the ground with him - quiet loudly. Noah had help in the process and found a way to bite his lip on the fall down, actually biting it open. Blood had started to coat his lips and get in his mouth to leave an awful taste. Not to mention there was a suit of armor laying on him, and he wasn't strong enough to push it off of him.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
he'd probably hate it at first when he starts noticing how dakota and noah interact but then he'd see how much dakota likes him and be like dammit he's in love and doesn't even realize it

Dakota and Levi both jumped in surprise as they heard the loud crash of metal against floor, not expecting anyone else being around since they thought no one used these hallways. "God that scared me," Levi said as he looked around for what had caused the noise. Dakota nodded in agreement. "Sounded like it came from up ahead," he told the other, and they made their way to the source. They walked through the hall and discovered a suit of armor on the ground. It wasn't until they got closer that Dakota spotted someone under the suit and recognized who it was. "Noah?" the blond asked, surprised to see him there. Levi clicked his tongue and laughed. "It's the little robot. Just leave him there," he told Dakota, already turning to leave.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; margin-top: -10px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: justify; color: white; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px]He'd be trying to point it out and Zoey would be like holding him back saying they have to realize on their own

Noah would have settled for it to be anyone but Levi and Dakota, especially because as far as he knew, he'd angered the blond hours before. He didn't look at Dakota though when they got over to him. He wanted to vanish when he heard Levi laugh, knowing that the Gryffindor probably would just walk off, acting like he didn't even know Noah. The blond shifted until the suit of armor, able to get it off his chest to he could actually breath. There was a sore spot along his jaw that the helmet had hit, and would probably leave a bruise.
