    MistClan was created when a group of cats from the traditional five Clans left to create their own Clan. They are known for their willingness to get wet and ability to withstand warmer temperatures. They are strong, noble, direct, and fiercely loyal. Similar to ThunderClan cats, they feel safest in the dense forest, and tend to be nervous in open ground. Also because of their fear of large, open spaces, they prefer to shelter in dens. The pelts of MistClan favor shades of black, gray, and brown, which are easily camouflaged in their natural territory. Because of the warm temperatures and the mist in the air, these cats thrive with short-furred coats.


    Religion
    MistClan traditionally believes in StarClan. However, "their" StarClan consists only of MistClan cats, since the other Clans and their ancestors stayed in the forest.


    Camp & Territory
    • Territory - MistClan is located in a large mountain range. They live in a dense forest at the base of a mountain that has a bit of undergrowth, where they stalk their prey from the ground and from the trees. Near MistClan territory lies DaleClan, whose territory consists of a valley at the bottom of a mountain in the same mountain range, near MistClan but not close enough to border it. DawnClan also neighbors both Clans, as they live an a large plain at the base of a mountain of the same mountain range.
    Very close to the camp is a small clearing with pine needles covering the ground and a dense layer of undergrowth protecting the area around the edges. This is the training area, with no particular name.


    • Camp - (Look to photo at top of fancypost) A large clearing in the center of the forest that is surrounded by a thick wall of thorns and bramble thickets. The entrance is a slight gap between two trees, and is protected by an arch of woven brambles. A boulder sits in the center of the camp (opposite of the entrance), called the Tall Stone, where the leader calls Clan gatherings. A thick bush sitting beside the rock is the leader's den. Two tall stones shelter the Medicine Cats' den; a small puddle sits inside, and cracks in the stone walls create storage for herbs. The nursery is in a dip in the ground, under a boulder near the Medicine Cats' den. The warriors' den is a large shelter around a small tree that is woven from bush and brambles. A smaller woven-bush resides near the warriors' den, where the apprentices' sleep. The elders sleep in a large dip in the ground that is sheltered by a gorse bush.


    • Star Stone - This is a large crystal rock that shines like a star when in the moonlight; much like the Moonstone in the Clans' old forest. It is located deep in one of the mountains in the range, only accessible by a long tunnel that leads into the mountain from the base. A crack in the ceiling is what provides the moonlight. Every full moon, the leader is accompanied by a groups of cats from their Clan to visit the Star Stone and a gathering with DaleClan (when the two Clans meet after the battle). The medicine cat shares tongues with StarClan every half moon.

    Appearance: Gorsepaw has a plush golden-brown coat that is streaked with thick black tabby stripes and ticked markings. He has dark spots above his eyes, allowing him to show more emotion in his facial features. This also gives him a handsome stare, along with his gleaming golden-green eyes. He has a long, short-furred tail and long whiskers, which give him good balance and peaked hunting skills. Gorsepaw has a slender build, though it is topped with lithe, well-toned muscles.

    Personality: Gorsepaw is no special cat; He is very loyal to his Clan, StarClan, and Clanmates, and would never desire to harm them in any way. This tom is undoubtedly charming to look at, but is still young and naive. While he may be quite intellectual, Gorsepaw doesn't always think twice, which is a habit that may not bring good fortune his way. Although he doesn't have a strong sense of ambition as others may, Gorsepaw has his desires set on becoming leader of MistClan one day, and does not want anything to block his path.

    Appearance: Honeytail is a very pale cream tabby with a darker, almost ginger tail, hence her name. The nursery queen's fur is fluffy and soft, making her very hot in Greenleaf. Honeytail's eyes are a pale green shade. click!
    Personality: As a nursery queen, Honeytail has very strong maternal instincts and would fight to the death for any kit or apprentice. She is very opinionated, and has a good sense of humor.

    Appearance: Unlike his mother and sister, Crookedpaw's pelt is not a ginger or cream shade. His fur is more MistClan-like, with hues of dark brown tabby and dark stripes running all over. Crookedpaw has splashes of white on his chest, underbelly, legs, paws, and tailtip. His eyes are just like Honeytail's, a bright green. click!
    Personality: Crookedpaw is a grumpy and guarded tom. He's a little shy as well, and hides this by pretending to hate everything. He does show his true self around Honeytail and Runningpaw, but his clanmates have yet to earn his full trust like his kin have.

    Appearance: Runningpaw is a very sleek and slim she-cat, built for speed and less for strength as Crookedpaw is. Like her mother, Runningpaw's pelt isn't dark, but rather a bright ginger shade with splashes of white all over. Her eyes are a cool, snapping blue with green swirled near the center. click!
    Personality: With a good sense of humor and a smart mouth, Runningpaw can be considered as one of the funniest apprentices. She loves the company of her clanmates, but is reckless and stubborn, and tends to lash out at any given moment.

    Crookedpaw's right paw is a little crooked, and sort of affects how he hunts and fights. Basically it's why he's a little insecure, shy, and hides these with grumpiness and all together antisocialness ;3

    Personality: the clan is spiderwhisker's everything. ever since he was a kit he wanted to be a leader and to be responsible for the clan. when batstar named him deputy, he finally felt as if starclan gave him his chance and he worked even harder to show his leader that she had made the right decision. his loyalties and beliefs won't be shaken easily.

    Name: Newtbelly.

    Appearance: Newtbelly is a sleek-furred, lean tom who is built for speed rather than combat. His base coat is a soft alabaster with a cool, light brown flank, back, and mask. His long tail, and ears are a more chocolate brown. Newtbelly has ghostly, pale green eyes.

    [size=8]Personality: Newtbelly can be a hard tom to swallow; his loud - arrogant even - personality often gets the better of him. He is a very proud tom, and feels the need to prove that he has rightly earned his new name. Not one to back down from an argument, he will continue one until the other cat's ears fall off. The young cat is still attempting to get a firm paw-hold in the world, and that goes with fitting into his skin; all things that will settle in time. Loyal to the end, Newtbelly has never failed in that department; even becoming suspicious of any cat who's own seems to be faltering.

    Appearance: Redcloud is almost the exact opposite of his fellow clanmates. While the rest of the clan has earth toned colors to easily camouflage themselves with their territory, Redcloud was born with slightly strawberry blonde fur that eventually turned to a powder white from aging, and is extremely thick. His build leans more to the nonathletic side, with long legs, and a thick, trunk like torso; it does not only prohibit his ability to perform combat, but his fur thoroughly shuts down any hunting he could have accomplished. Redcloud does not see his differences as a burden, more like a sign from Starclan that he was not meant to become a regular slap-dash warrior. He considers himself destined for a life of prophecies, herbs, and injured clanmates to keep him busy. Though as far as builds go, one thing he has going is his brilliant Amber eyes. Placed upon a blank canvas, his eyes are somewhat startling and unexpected. They lean more to a dark Crimson color, but have small flecks of golds circling his pupils. They are framed with a dark outer rim that further more make them stand out against his cloud-like pelt. His face is large and round, with fur above his upper lip that curls slightly upward in an old fashion western mustache kinda look. His tail is long, almost in a sweeping sort of way. He has to be careful around easily moved herbs for his tail will quickly make work of neatly piled medicines. All in all, Redcloud is quite a handsome cat, with his textured fur to that of a quilt, small, neat paws, large tail, and stunning eyes.


    Personality: Stubborn. Blunt. Perhaps even a bit rude. Redcloud is not the talkative type. If you aren't straightforward and to the point, he may just leave the conversation in mid-sentence. As you could tell, Redcloud isn't one for small talk nor ramblings that have no meaning. He is there to heal you and be done. This feline's hardened exterior most likely stemmed from a workaholic father that pushed him too hard to become a great warrior during his apprenticeship, but instead succeeded into making him quite the sour character you know and love. His personality can be compared to that of Yellowfang. A grouch, but without a doubt his starry eyes are filled with a vast source of wisdom and knowledge granted from those who walk among the stars. This, however, does not mean that Redcloud does not love at all. Redcloud grows quite fond of his apprentices and clanmates, but he would rather not speak with useless words to show his affection. Rather he would work himself too hard for them, perhaps staying up all night to work diligently for a patient. Even the way he pushes his apprentices to work harder, better, and with more precision is all out of love. He is also very emotional, constantly dealing with internal turmoil, but he views this as a weakness and chooses to take long walks to clear his head. These walks usually include disappearing for long hours throughout the night, maybe returning with a bundle of herbs and a gruff snort in response to inquiries of where he had disappeared to. Maybe one day he will show where he goes off to.


    History: Redcloud was originally born in a clan, the only son of a deputy and a respected warrior. His father, the deputy, trained him harshly, carving out any softness he had during his kithood, and well into apprentice ship. In the early moons of his apprenticeship, Redcloud had lost his happy-go-lucky personality and became a silent, and brooding fighter. He resented his father for not letting up on his training, and all because he didn't want his too soft of a son to be the downfall of his proud name. Redcloud secretly doubted he even loved his mother, more like selective breeding. Because of this grudge Redcloud had to his father, he deciding to run away simply to spite him, losing his "creation". This led him to what would be his fate when he encountered, an old, blind, gypsy healer. He hovered around her for a few days, he tossing him a few rats here and there, and him helping her out by hunting the mice that had infested her property. Eventually, he was around her enough to watch her heal her patients, collecting local herbs from the land and applying them to the wounds of her people. Others called the gypsy crazy, but could not question her unusual methods and practices. She would talk to Redcloud, almost sensing as if he were near her. She would explain the use of the herbs, and what they did to their bodies. Soon, he was practicing himself on injured critters in the forest. Sure enough, the same remedies worked on all the animals, including other felines. After mastering this art, Redcloud became antsy to leave but felt obligated to stay for she had taught him everything he knew. When she became sick, and soon after died, he felt a mixture of glee and sorrow. His last chain was broken, and Redcloud set out to make a name for himself. When he stumbled upon Mistclan, he was only a shell of what he used to be, a happy, laughing, and bouncing kit, has turned into a cold, and grouchy cat. From moons of not speaking a word around the healer, his social abilities have drastically plummeted. Now he is the medicine cat of Mistclan, one that had learned his skills from a gypsy.

    Age: 21 Moons
    Appearance;; Stormspots is a handsome dark grey with lighter spots and small tufts at the ends of his ears that are black. He has shortish fur and a white left paw. Stormspots has a long tail with lighter stripes and his eyes are dark blue.

    Personality;; Stormspots, as a young kit, was often seen as rambunctious and a bit of a jokester, but as the moons passed, the nearly required knowledge of the death of his mother caused him to be turn more reserved. He is a very loyal cat and would protect his Clan with his life.
    Kin;; Fallenfeather (Sister), Birchwood (Father, deceased), Berryspeck (Mother, deceased)
    History;; Stormspots's mother fled from her Clan far out into unknown territory. At this time, she was expecting her deceased mate's kits, and the struggle of the journey proved to be more than she thought she could handle. A loner had befriended her after he offered his help. She gratefully took it, and the loner soon fell in love with her. But when the time came where she had to give birth during a storm, the loner helped her through it, although he was unable to save his newfound love. The kits, a tom and she-cat, were both healthy and strong. The grieving tom had been awestruck by the life that Berryspeck had told him, and he knew that the kits had to be given Clan-born names, to honor Berryspeck. The loner realized that the tom-kit looked similar to the dark clouds outside, so he was named Stormkit. The she-kit had a striking resemblance to her mother, and was named Fallenkit in honor of her dead mother. Hunter, which was the name of the loner, knew that he wouldn't be able to care for these tiny kits, so he took the kits to a place where they would be raised well. LionClan. And from that Clan, they would be raised to be loyal Clan cats. However, being raised in LionClan proved to be the wrong idea. The leader, who's name was Icestar, hated half-Clan and cats who were not forest-born. She ordered any cats who had a father or mother in another Clan to leave, and never come back. At this point, Stormspots and Fallenfeather were new warriors, and they knew that if they had to leave, they still had each other. This journey, in the end, resulted in the finding of MistClan, where they cold build a new life.

His paws thundered hard on the ground, grass and dirt rocketing from behind him as he desperately tried to save the mother he had never known. "Stormspots!" A loud voice sounded in his ear, and he jumped awake, blinking open his dark blue eyes to gaze into his sister's more lightly colored ones. "You were yowling in your sleep, no cat can sleep with all the noise your making." His sister said, though she looked a bit annoyed, her tone was gentle as she continued. "Was it another dream?" She asked quietly, casting a glance over her shoulder before settling down in the neatly lined moss. "Y-yeah." Stormspots admitted softly, looking down at his paws with a somber expression. "I know it's hard, but you have to move on, Berryspeck wouldn't want you to grieve for so long. It was many moons ago, and obviously there was nothing we could do about it." Fallenfeather said softly, swiping her tongue gently over her brother's ear. "I know, but I wish we could've."

Before I accept it, however, I would like to ask: which is the cat's name: Redcloud or Ambercloud? And could you please tell me why you chose this name for him? (Besides that, I LOVE your character and the detail, and you most likely will get the position!)


    Now, on to Shadow-Chick. I absolutely love your character of Frogstep! I think you did a wonderful job in creating a character and the story behind him. However, I do gravitate more toward birdyy for the Medicine Cat position, so I apologize for that. But I would love for Frogstep to integrate into the Clan somehow! Maybe a young elder, or something...? (: Also, Hickorypaw's new name is perfect!

I love your character and I hate to ask you to change anything about him, because he is such an interesting character and I love him. (: I also understand what you meant by getting mixed up; I have to use the tiny screen of my phone to type all of this up on, haha.

    I am kind of suprised that no one has said anything about Gorsepaw I was thinking that maybe Gorsepaw could have a crush on Snailpaw, although she really likes Newtbelly. How does that sound for an addition to the plot?

    Appearance: Pebbleleaf is a short furred grey tabby with yellow-green eyes. He has a medium-length tail and shortish legs. He also has a white underbelly, but it's a bit grey because he doesn't wash it much.
    Personality: Pebbleleaf is, in one word, arrogant. He can also be a bit strange at times, doing things such as sleeping on tree branches instead of inside the den or playing in the snow like a kit. He is also childish at times, especially if there's snow, his favorite thing in the whole world.
