Their deep olive-green visionaries flickered from side to side, absorbing in the territory. They sniffed a couple of times and trotted towards the nearest river. Once they got there, they bent their head down to lap up the water. That's when a headache began. They grunted softly and shook their head before leaving the long body of water. Their teeth gritted together as the headache got worse and they began to wobble unsteadily as they attempted to walk back to camp.
Their mouth opened up to release a scream of pain but nothing came out. They collapsed onto the ground, quivering and trembling uncontrollably. It hurt. It hurt so much and it felt like their molecular structure was being torn apart and then being put back together.
It was sheer agony right then and there. Then they felt...nothing. It was as if they just became one with the earth and for a moment, peace flooded their system. Then the searing pain came back like a giant tsunami wave. Even in pain, they started to feel alive. More alive than they ever could have imagined.
It all died out like a flame that had been extinguished. It was silent for several minutes before they heard any noise. The sounds of birds chirping and squirrels chattering loudly filled their ears and they blinked open their eyes. Instead of their deep olive-green they were a pale yellow color. A soft groan escaped their maw and they sat up.
Their optics flickered downto their paws and a yelp of surprise came from them. They weren't suppose to be black! Confused, they darted back to the river and gazed down, gasping softly.
They were... They were beautiful.
A fox-like body with multiple tails made them grin slightly. Their paws, bottom jaw, ears, and tail tips were a lovely ebony complexion. The rest of their body was white with red markings spread out and all over the place. "Whoa..." they breathed softly.
