Lilian didn't comment and just went on her way. What was up with that? If those were his attempts of talking to her honestly it was best they just left things unsaid. She didn't know how she felt, but felt hurt hearing him saying it was all duty. He didn't owe her anything and yet he acted like he owed her everything.

Krypt stopped before he could find the entrance to the cave system again.
"Oh, bugger," he muttered to himself. "You've cried in front of her! Can't you for one second just say it straight to her?" He put his hands to his forehead. "How am I ever going to make this right?" -
Lilian didn't see any signs of them, figuring they were probably regrouping or something. Leaning against as tree she leaned her head against the rough bark. "This is no worth the headache." She muttered forcing her mind to drop the issue for right now as she kept walking.
-
Krypt paced by the cave, muttering a mantra to himself. "Don't say duty, don't say duty, don't say duty,..." he continued on and on. Then he thought of something else. "Donut!" he blurted out as though he had figured out the meaning of life, he seemed so happy. "Don't say duty, say your... your... nuts in love." He clamped a hand over his mouth in case Kasa was near. "Don't... nut... Donut..." he rubbed the back of his head. "Ah.... I just hope she likes food."
-
Not staying away long she was on her way back. No matter how many times she tried to stop the torrent of emotions and questions flooding her entire mind. The drowning of her other senses caused her to lightly drift into a tree. "Get your head out of the clouds." She muttered and shook her head starting to see Krypt and slowed down her pace considerably.
-
Krypt turned and saw Lillian there. He went red in the face, then started to approach her silently until he stood right in front of her.
-
Blinking she looked at him all red faces and standing as blockage to her path. Probably just red from the cold.. She thought bitterly. And with the raise of brow as if bringing in to question why he was in her way and not saying anything.
-
"Hey.... do you like donuts?" he seemed to ask her randomly, with a quirky smile that seemed not to fit him too well. "Cause I do. I loved, but donuts especially. In fact, I go nuts for them..." he seemed to ramble.
-
Lilian blinked looking at him like he had gone mental. "Um sure I guess." Was her awkward response seeing as she had no clue what donuts had to do with anything and why it warranted holding her up from getting in the warm cave. "Nice to know." She said trying to find a decent reply offering a slight smile confused.
-
"ah...." he saw her confusion and sighed. "I'm sorry... that just made everything very very weird. I didn't think this through very well." he admitted. "Hey, would you mind if I...?"
He moved forward to hug her. -
Lilian wasn't even sure how to respond to the first statment. When he asked she nodded and opened her arms up. "Well, at least I know what you care about." She offered trying to lighten the mood wondering why donuts had come up first of all. Were pastries the only thing he had deep feelings for or something?
-
He smirked. "Well, you're the best donut there is." he concluded by saying and squeezed her tightly. In his mind, he believed he had finally said it, but he also knew that it made absolutely no sense to her.
"Donut... Don't say duty... say I;m nuts for her..." he muttered as he embraced her. -
Best donut? That was something she hadn't heard before. That wasn't most likely a compliment, but it was hard to tell. Still, she let him hug her tightly and returned the hug. What he muttered made a little more sense. Lightly she closed her eyes. "I thought you were just plain nuts." She whispered with a soft smile.
-
"I thought I was going nuts, trying to figure it out. I don't know whether to thank or to blame Kasa for that," he muttered. I guess I have to connect with another person, now that the gypsies are gone."
-
"The gypsies can't be all gone..." She said thinking that there had to at least be a small group left. "It's okay if your nuts I'm there too." She whispered and Lilian looked up at him her own face having gotten red too, and not with the cold to blame.
-
He smiled softly. "Good." He whispered and drew back from their embrace. "Can... Can I,like, hold your hand? That's what people do, right?" He asked, because this was all new to him.
-
Lilian rubbed the back of her neck. "Um yeah I think so." She said clearly uncertain of it as well since she didn't have much dating experince. "Alright I don't see why not." She said smiling and held out her own hand. There came an "Awe!" from just outside the cave. Kasa smiled at the pair before walking back in. "So called it!" She called as she ducked inside the cave.
-
"Just keep an eye on JSmine would you!" Krypt called to Kasa as he saw her retreating figure. He sighed.
Inside the cave, Jasmine was struglling to get free. Her hwad felt like it was going to explode from pain after that stone that Krypt had thrown at her head. -
Kasa wave her hand in the air signalling she heard him. She saw Jasmine and couldn't help, but laugh at her attempts to get free. "You'd be dead if one of us didn't have a heart." She said and shook her head lightly.
Lilian smiled and suddenly and kissed him on the cheek. She smiled and yawned stretching starting to head for the cave.
-
Krypt became a little bashful after she kissed him, giving his quirky smile again. He held her hand still as she led them both to the cave. Krypt saw Jasmine struggle still and then stop as they came in.
Jasmine felt utterly heartbroken, and started to sob.
