She searched the drawers for a minute before finding a pair of black sweatpants that would easily fit Kyle. She walked out to the hall again and threw the pants at his head. "I'll wait in the living room."

He rolled his eyes and caught it. "Ok." He said before closing the door and getting into the shower.
-
Walking into her own room first, she stared at herself in the mirror. "You idiot..." she whispered. "You can't feel anything! You can't!" she hated herself for flirting with him and she hated herself for everything. This was wrong. "I love you..." she whispered, trying to calm down. When she was calm, she went and sat on the couch in the living room.
-
While getting washed he thought about everything that happened. He wanted to know if she liked him but he didn't know what to do. He then got out and dried off before pulling her fathers sweat pants on. He came out and walked into the living room. He jumped over the couch and sat next to her while grabbing his shirt that was still on the couch. "Hey." He said with a smile.
-
"Hey," she said. She tried to sound normal, but her voice cracked a little. She cleared her throat, trying to push it off. "Did you have a nice shower?"
-
He pulled his shirt on. "Nope. It was too wet." He said with a smile. He grabbed his phone and looked at it. "Meghan texted me." He said with a smile and sat up as he read it with a smile on his face. "Baby I got stuck at my grandparents. I will see you tommorow." He read it aloud and sighed while looking back at her. "Her grandparents don't like me which is why I didn't go with her.
-
Casey faked an unbelieving gasp. "Someone doesn't like you? Say it isn't so! The world as we know it is coming to and end!" She put the back of her hand against her forehead in a 'damsel in distress' kind of way.
-
He rolled his eyes and gave her a playful shove. "Oh give it a rest drama queen." He said while trying not to laugh.
-
"I'm the drama queen? I know for a fact it takes you about thirty minutes on your hair every morning and you freak out if someone doesn't like you." She looked him in the eyes for a second before looking away. Her heart was in her throat. Crap.
-
He let out a small laugh. "Hey my hair doesn't look awesome by itself and also I didn't freak out over it when I got out of the shower. And I don't always freak out." He said with a smile. He also looked at her eyes for a while but when she looked away he swallowed quietly and leaned back on the couch.
-
She smiled softly. "You should wear it like that more often," she teased. He looked extremely attractive with his tousled wet hair. She wanted to run her hand through it but she merely clenched her fist.
-
He laughed and sat up. "No. I hate when it's like this." He said as he messed around with it. He gave it the messy but nice look that he usually does. "I fixed it!" He yelled with a laugh.
-
She laughed as droplets of water scattered at his touch. She never got tired of the way he did stupid stuff like that and blew it off like he meant to do it.
-
He smiled and looked at her. "Why do you always look at me like that?" He asked while raising an eyebrow.
-
"Like what?" she asked innocently, batting her eye lashes in fake infatuation. She couldn't hold it and ended up rolling her eyes and laughing.
-
He kept his gaze on her. "It's not funny. I'm being serious. What are you hiding from me? Why do you look at me like that?" He asked as he looked at her.
-
She stopped laughing and then her smile faded. "I'm not hiding anything. I don't know what you mean by 'looking at you like that'. You're my best friend Kyle." She didn't like where this was going. Last time they'd had this fight, she ended up in the hospital.
-
He sighed and kept looking at her. "I know your my best and I couldn't ask for a better one... But I cant help but think you are thinking something else..." He glanced to the floor then her. "When I brought you home from the hospital you said you love me. Yesterday night, there was tension between you and Meghan in the air when she was hanging on me. When she left you wouldn't keep your eyes off me. And today you wont keep your hands off me." He said while keeping his eyes on her.
-
Casey stood up fast. "You think I'm trying to steal you from Meghan? I wouldn't do that to our freaking group, Kyle. You never used to mind when I played with your stupid hair! But now that you have a girl friend, I automatically have ulterior motives? I'm sorry your opinion of me is so low." She knew it was wrong to freak out on him, but she couldn't let him know how she really felt. At the same time, she felt tears coming to her eyes. "I'm not sure when you stopped trusting me, but if we don't trust each other, we have nothing. Hear me? Nothing." The tears were running down her face now and she turned away so that he couldn't see.
-
"I know you wouldn't steal me from Meghan or anyone. I know you don't have ulterior motives." He stood up while talking to her. "I don't think you are low at all. I trust you but you have been hiding your true feelings from me and I think I know why but no one will open up to me. Isaac wouldn't tell me and he is my friend. You are here telling me your my best friend but wont even face me when you cry. I trust you. I don't not mind when you play with my hair, I love when you play with my hair." He said while looking at her. "And I think I might love you..." He said in a calm voice.
