  • OOC: Serious problems.

    IC:
"Sounds good to me," Derek said.

    OOC:
My rping is so lame right now.

  • Soon, they were all on their way to Isfara. After a couple hours of driving, they arrived to the town, looking around for a good place to get some lunch. As they ate, they made a few last-minute plans of how they were going to do this liberation.
Once they were ready, they made their way to the slaver's property, splitting up into their planned groups. Leon and Roya began to gather the slaves while the others went to take care of the guards.
Quickly finding a slave and instructing him to gather as many others as he could, Leon began to remove shock bracelets like the previous liberations.

As Selene began to lead the others around the property to find the guards' bunkhouse, the property seemed oddly familiar to her. Uneasily, she slowed down to look around, trying to figure out why it seemed so familiar.

OOC: It's about 80 miles between Ishval and Isfara. Our houses are about 45 or so miles apart.

  • OOC: Derek is with supreme Selene and Clarissa, right?

    IC:
Noticing the other two slow down, Derek did too. "Something up?" He asked, believing the two had seen something, maybe a guard to take care of.

Roya gathered slaves routinely, expecting this liberation to be as uneventful as the last ones.

  • Stopping suddenly in her tracks, Selene saw an all-too-familiar area next to the main building, a few guards hanging out by the kitchen door. Gasping breathlessly, she had to support herself momentarily on the nearest person, who happened to be Clarissa, as she was sent reeling into a flashback.

  • Caught off guard, Clarissa was momentarily thrown off balance but managed to quickly right herself. She reached out to steady Selen, worried she'd fall. "Hey, Selene, what's wrong?" She asked.

  • Breathing hard, Selene could only shake her head as she tried with limited success to push back the memories. She managed to calm herself down a bit after a moment, only to freeze again when she saw the slave owner appear from the kitchen. Once again the memories came rushing back. He looked older than when she had last seen him, but it was the same man, and the seed of resentment that had been planted years ago decided to reveal itself full force.
Before either Derek or Clarissa could stop her, Selene charged recklessly toward the man, alerting him and the guards to their presence. Clearly surprised, the guards moved to intercept her, expecting that they could easily handle her. Unfortunately for them, the furious woman simply incapacitated them on her way to attack the slave owner.

  • Completely stunned, Clarissa just stood watching Selene for a minute. Watching her attack the guards, she started to realize for some reason Selene had lost control and needed to be stopped, but knew that Clarissa and Derek wouldn't be able to alone. "We need to find Leon," she told Derek.

  • Ooc: We can let Derek say something.

IC: Selene didn't pay any attention to what Clarissa and Derek were doing, her only thought to attack the slave owner. After the guards were out of commission, she turned to the man and glowered at him, pausing briefly before charging at him. Turning and bolting away, the frightened man called for help as he ran. A few more guards heard the shouting and came to investigate.

  • "Go get him," Derek instructed Clarissa. "I'll slow her down. Whatever set her off, we can't let her act like this. It doesn't matter if those people deserve it or not."
"No, I'll stop her with alchemy, you go get Leon," Clarissa protested.
Derek wouldn't have it. "I won't let you run after her and risk getting hurt."
Clarissa shook her head. "We don't have time to argue. I'm not helpless. I have alchemy. Now go get Leon!"
Derek was about to argue more, but Clarissa glared at him and pointed for him to leave. Finally getting the idea that Clarissa wasn't going to change her mind, Derek turned and ran.

OOC: Clarissa is going to stall her with alchemy and maybe try to pin her. Hopefully slow her down enough for Leon to show up. Or maybe Clarissa traps her in a cage like Al did to Peninia(or however it's spelled. ;_; )

  • Unfortunately for the slave owner, Selene was young and quick and the man was getting older and slower. Within moments, she had caught up to him and knocked him to the ground, landing a few punches before being pulled off by a few guards. As she fought them off, the slave owner scrambled back to his feet and began to retreat again.

As he was calmly removing shock bracelets from slaves, Leon glanced up when he noticed Derek running urgently towards him. "What's up?" he asked the boy, pausing what he was doing.

  • "Selene's going nuts!" Derek exclaimed, "She's just going on a murderous rampage! You're her boyfriend, do something!" (OOC: He is just a 15 year old boy. If it isn't official, he probably just assumed it was. XD)

After making sure Derek did as he was told, Clarissa pulled her alchemy glove on just in case and ran after Selene. She rounded the corner of the house to find Selene mercilessly beating up a few guards. Thinking quickly, Clarissa slapped the ground separated Selene from the guards with an alchemical wall made from alchemy. (XD It returns) "Selene, stop!" she yelled.

  • "Murderous rampage?" Leon asked, surprised. "That doesn't sound good. Come on." Running to find Selene, he wondered just what had set her off.

Ignoring the alchemist, Selene turned her attention back from the guards to the slave owner before he could get away. After a couple moments, she caught up to him, proceeding to pound on the man again until the guards reached them and pulled her off once more.

  • OOC: And now they're caught in an awkward game of cat and mouse until Leon shows up. Well, awkward game of dog and cat, and human trying to keep them separate XD Selene's a dog now. Anyway, should Clarissa try to trap Selene at some point?

IC: With a groan Clarissa followed. She did her best to impede Selene's path with alchemy, knowing she wouldn't be able to physically stop her. Hurry Derek, please, she pleaded silently.

  • Freeing herself from the guards, Selene wove her way over and around the obstacles Clarissa created, leaping off the top of a wall to land on the slave owner. The guards caught up and Selene had to turn her attention to them once again, managing to incapacitate them.
As she turned back to beating on the man again, Leon appeared, calling, "Selene! Stop!"
Reaching the fight, he immediately tried to restrain her. Selene fought back, but luckily for him, Leon was a better fighter than the guards. With her attention on Leon, the slave owner scrambled back, trying to get out of range while they fought.
Managing to get Selene into a hold momentarily, Leon asked quietly, "Is he the one that hurt you?"
Looking at Leon, Selene froze, eyes welling up with tears. With a nod she slowly crumpled to her knees, tears flowing freely as she sobbed. Leon wrapped his arms around her, allowing her to cry on his shoulder as he shot the man a glare.

  • OOC: simple way Clarissa could've stopped her: put either Selene or the slave trader in an alchemical box made of alchemy.

    IC:
Derek stopped and stood next to Clarissa, watching Leon comfort Selene in his embrace. It seemed like a tender, private moment, and Derek wasn't sure if he was comfortable watching it; he felt as if he were intruding on them.

  • OOC: Yeah, but I wasn't sure if Chelsea wanted me to. I kinda worded that last post weirdly too. I was struggling. XD

IC: Finally, Clarissa thought when Leon showed up. She watched, surprised to see Selene crumple like she did. Glancing at Derek, she quietly asked, "Do you understand what's going on? Because I'm completely lost."

  • OOC: Roya's missing all the fun. XD And poor Clarissa is lost. Again. XD

IC: After a moment to gather his wits about him, the slave owner noticed Leon's glare and huffed angrily. "Why are you glaring at me? Did you not see her attacking me? I'm the victim here, not her! Who are you people, anyway?"
"Shut up," Leon replied bluntly. "I'll get to you." As the slave owner scoffed in disbelief, Leon gestured for the other two to come over.

  • "Could you two finish up what we were doing?" Leon asked. "Most if not all the guards are taken care of so you shouldn't have too much trouble."
