Spense sat patiently, leaping to his feet as a woman, who he guessed was Thea entered the room. She had artificial red hair and long eyelashes that had butterflies on them, she had thin, red lips and pale skin, reminding him somewhat of the children's tale Snow White. She smiled. "Hello, hello, Spense is it? Ah, yes I remember it is Spense. Is Spense short for Spencer? No? How do you spell your name?" Taken aback by all the sudden questions, he said nothing and looked at her with a very confused look, especially when she went on. "No matter, no matter. I am Thea. Don't worry, I'm not like the capitol people. I do this to blend in." She reassured, but Spense still felt uneasy about this lady. "For years your district has been trees, trees, lumberjacks, and trees. Today, we're going to change that, by being both. No, don't worry, only your pants will look sort of like trees. They are ripped up and have a tree-like look ot them. Don't belive me, come look!" She pulled out the jeans that he was to wear, and like Thea said, they weren't as ugly as he had anticipated them to be.

  • OOC: Wow, I would've told him the same thing right back just to see what he would have done! :) lol And you guys weren't on, but I might be making a thread that is based on the book The Selection and I am seeing who would be interested, so I can know if it's a good idea. If you're not, it's fine, but I would just like a rough count of people to see. Thanks!

  • Seth was introduced to his stylists, although he was unable to catch any of their names. A woman asked him a few questions, and told him a bit about what his costume was to look like. Seth wasn't extremely interested in what he was going to wear, but he listened. Next, they got him ready, putting on makeup and that sort of stuff. He wasn't extremely happy through out the whole thing, but he got over it. Finally, the woman woman showed him what he'd wear, and he was not extremely pleased with it, being agriculture he'd expected them to be plant-like, but he wasn't very fond of the extreme amounts of color. He didn't mention it, though, and nodded as the woman explained the outfit.

  • Judith was quickly pushed toward a group of people. Their names were something like Kara and Edin. Her hair was yanked into a loose high ponytail by Kara. She tied a golden strip around it. Edin helped her into a white and gold dress with colored shapes from about the knee to the hem and connections from the wrist to the hips. The straps were like a tank-top with off the shoulder connections and a weird leather-looking belt with more things around it. Judith Didn't like dresses very mush but she sort of liked this one. She looked in a nearby mirror. She didn't look like herself at all. She hardly recognized herself. She sighed a bit and waited for something to happen next.

IC: Cassie was shown, by her stylist, what she was going to wear for the Opening Ceremony. It was mostly made of stiff leather, with the exception the leggings and shoulder strap. It almost felt immovable in it, and entirely claustrophobic. However, when she looked in the mirror, she realized that it looked retro, but still cute. She liked the legging the most, because they were the most normal thing on her.

  • OOC; don't know. On the train and getting ready. That's all I think.

IC; Mandy finished getting ready and walked out to the dinning car. She was so nervous she couldn't eat. She looked at Seth, who was looking at their outfits. She liked hers, the colors were beautiful. She had never worn anything so fancy in her life. "Wow, those are splendid!" She said.

Dallas shook his head at the strange clothes. He hated the horn-like things that stuck out of his head. "What am I supposed to be? A cow?" But he knew that was probably the point.

  • OOC: Not really. We're just going to our stylists and getting ready. And also, I am creating a poll, so it would mean a lot if you guys all voted! This way, it's anonymous. And there not on the train anymore. They are already in the Capitol.

IC: Once Cassie had her costume on, she spun once to see the skirt fan out behind her. Her stylist, Davon, smiled in response and asked if she liked it. She smiled, but could only nod because she really didn't. However, she didn't want to hurt his feelings because he would be designing more of her outfits. "My favorite color is lime green. Just for future notice." She mumbled. She was thinking about the interview dress and lightly hinting about it. "Just in case." She stared at the ground, hoping she wasn't blushing herself.

He smiled. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind. But just remember that I can't make any promises." He looked at her apologetically, already judging that lime green would not be the best color on her.

  • OOC; thanks.

IC; Dallas frowned at it, not wanting to wear it but knew he had to. "So...this is it? I am a...cow?" He said rudely, clearly showing his displeasure. "Not the most unique costume ever." He said, glaring at it. "You can't change it, huh? To bad. I MIGHT have actually got sponsors for looking decent."

Mandy glanced at Fernala, her stylist. "Could I try it on?" And with a approving nodded, she slipped it on. It was a bit heavy, but she loved it. "Twirl." Fernala said, spinning her finger. "Okay," Mandy said, spinning happily. It flew out around her, and when she stopped it fell around her waist softly. "I love it!" She cried.

Fernala nodded, shocked. Normally the tributes didn't like her outfits, they thought she went over bored on the color and size.

  • Judith sat down. Slouching a little, she was never one for posture. She ran her hand along the belt she was wearing. It had more gold strips around it and a string of some type of pearls. It had the same shapes as the bottom of the dress on the round center of the belt and along the leather part of it. She reached up to adjust the strap. She touched the multicolored studded circles attaching the top of the dress to the straps. She reached behind her to touch the small cape that ran from her shoulders to her hips. She stood up again and did a twirl. The cape and her skirt flying out. She smiled a bit. She had a skirt like this when she was little.

After alot of Thea's talking, he finally was able to slip away for a moment to get dressed. Man, that chic sure was chatty. He first put on the ripped up, tree-like textured pants(it's weird writing this sentence becaue the book I'm reading has a character named Tree in it), before slipping on a red plaid shirt, simmilar to the one he'd seen Hadrain wearing earlier. After that, with help from Thea, he put on a tan colored waistcoat that was the same color as his jeans. He looked in the mirror. He didn't look too bad. "Better than Adam and Eve," He mumbled as Thea went on talking about what color would look best on him. "Green! No. Red. Red is definately better. Oh, what about blue? No. Simple black maybe. Or gold! No, no, gold simply won't do..." She went on even longer, she brought up so many colors, Spense couldn't remember them all.

  • Seth watched the girl twirl around in her flower costume. Her dress looked alright on her. Seth sighed, but continued looking around. "You want to try yours on too?" The stylist asked, making Seth stop spacing out. "Uh," he pondered it, "yes."

Seth's costume felt alright, not as light as it looked. He didn't really want to go out onto a carriage and ride around in this outfit, but he'd seen worse costumes before. He shrugged, and prepared himself.

  • Finn looked down at what he was now wearing. He hated it. One: Short shorts with rocks on his thighs, not fun. Two: giant shoulder padding that restricted arm movement. Three: The giant rock thing on his shoulder was getting very annoying. His stylist asked what he thought. Hew didn't want to hurt her feelings so he said it was very different. That much was true.

  • Mandy watched as Seth - at least...She thought that was his name, she was in shock during the reaping - grab his costume. His didn't look as nice as hers, which was a light pink and white, and his was a bit overwhelming and bright. She spun again, thinking it was the perfect dress.

  • Cassie sighed as he walked out of the room with her trailing behind. She felt sort of foolish in her costume, a bunch of children's school-colors stuck onto a gray outfit. Be that it may, she still raised her head, refusing to be laughed at. This was a difficult situation, but maybe it would get better. She followed her stylist over to where the district six chariot was and waited there. Eventually, the male tribute came out from wherever wearing almost the identical outfit. She couldn't have been bothered though because she was never one to care about what she wore. However, that didn't mean that she liked the outfit.

  • "Should we go to the chariot now?" Mandy asked, pouncing up and down. She had totally forgotten that the reason they were there was to kill each other. She could not wait to go down the road with her pretty dress and see all the people smiling and laughing, cheering for them....
And waiting to kill them. That was everything here. It's always the same. Reaping, tributes, train, parade, training, arena, fight, die, kill or be killed.
