    Wavepaw was never going to get used to having joiners call out when they were it the border, it always made her jump in fright when she heard a voice fairly close to her. The tabby turned and padded off in the direction the voice had come from, eventually finding a dog, a golden retriever to be exact, waiting at the border to Riverclan. Another joiner, there had been a steady stream of them as of late, and she wasn't sure whether to be glad of the new faces and people to talk to, or nervous that she had to meet someone new....what if she messed this up? "Um, w-we have an auto-acceptance p-policy, w-welcome to Riverclan...erm, if th-there's anything you n-need, don't be afraid to a-ask" she said in that same timid tone she always used, especially around anyone new

    Gin always seemed to be more relaxed around canines. Even though he knew that no creature would be able to look like him, as far as he was concerned. The tiger striped akita pup padded up next to Wavepaw, and he looked up at the golden retriever. It was obvious just by looking at the larger male that he was older than himself, which Gin didn't seem to really care about. The River Guard slowly sat himself down, and raised a paw to adjust the brown leather collar around his neck, before introducing himself. "Welcome to Riverclan Mr. Newt. My name is Gin." The canine introduced himself in a calm voice as he dipped his head calmly, and kept his head bowed. It was easy to understand what he was doing, especially if he was doing it to a canine, as it seemed like he was submitting in some way, almost as if he was talking to an alpha of a pack. He had high respect to those that were older than him, and still had respect to those that were younger than him.

    Northernpaw didn't want to miss on all the action, so she padded up so she was beside Gin. The apprentice glanced over at the canine, before proceeding the analyze the newcomer. "Welcome to Riverclan!" She meowed enthusiastically, thinking that this was her only a few minutes ago it seemed. She folded her hind legs back into a sitting position, and lifted a single snow kissed paw. She ran her rough tongue across it, then dragged it over her ears quite roughly. [low muse]

    Aspengrove didn't want to admit it, but she was still uncomfortable around dogs. She had missed out on the whole transition away from a traditional cat clan. The black-and-white feline had never gotten to slowly work into the new, magic, over-powered world of... wherever this was. It was a huge jump for someone like her, having gone missing back in mid 2013, to arrive with such a rude awakening. To this day, she still couldn't completely fulfill her rank's job without being a little bit... off.


    Padding over with her black tail waving in greeting, the RiverClanner blinked her green eyes up at Newt. StarClan, everyone seemed to care so much about their surnames. Marco - that was his name, right? - couldn't greet someone new without tacking his family's name on there at the end. Aspengrove did not have a last name, and nor did she want one. She was a warrior. Her name had two parts, and nothing more. That was how naming worked, didn't it?


    "Hello there," she greeted, head tilted back to look at the golden retriever. Newt, huh? At least his name wasn't Radiocakecarhuman. It was a nice thing that he at least went by such a basic and traditional loner name. "I'm Aspengrove. Welcome to RiverClan. Do you want a tour around the territory, or are you good exploring on your own?"
